SummerSlam Buyrate, Former Women’s Champ Retiring
- According to F4Wonline, WWE has updated figures on the amount of buys for Summerslam 2011. The updated numbers show SummerSlam 2011 did 301,000 buys. This is down from SummerSlam 2010 having 350,000 and in 2009 having 369,000 buys. These preliminary numbers for Summerslam show that out of the 361,000, North American buys were 174,000 while internationally did 127,000.
- Former WWE Women’s Champ Bull Nakano announced she will be retiring at a show on her 44th birthday that takes place in Tokyo on January 8th, 2012. Nakano was best known in the WWE for her feud with Alundra Blayze from 1994-1995 and winning the WWE Women’s title from Blaze in Tokyo, Japan.
