Jim Ross Blogs On Tyson Kidd-WWE, New General Manager & More

Jim Ross has a new blog up. Here are some highlights below. On Tyson Kidd qualifying for MITB: “Happy to see Tyson Kidd’s success on Smackdown Friday night. Tyson has seemingly found his personality, so to speak, to go along with his significant in ring skills. I love his in ring persona, which will/should only get bigger and better, and the skill set that the Calgary Kid brings to the table. A recent NXT bout vs. Michael McGillicutty gave me all that I needed to see on both young athletesRead More

Thunder’s Weekly Rundown 06/30/12

Impact Wrestling dominated TV this week in terms of quality, but sports entertainment as a whole was extremely fun to watch! The rundown is loaded this week, so let’s jump right into it! ROH Best In The World(06/24/12) Reaction: The Briscoes defeated the Guardians of Truth. Solid tag team action to start the show. I’m curious who the Guardians are; one of them had sporadic tattoos similar to Michael Cole(if Cole had a tan and fifty pounds of muscle, I’d be suspicious). Homicide defeated Eddie Edwards. This match was straightRead More

ThunderStruck: Raw Analysis 06/25/12

AJ opens Raw talking to what we assume are Punk, Bryan, and Kane. Turns out she is talking to a mirror. Off to the opening promo. ^I saw Snow White and the Huntsman recently. Strange but interesting comparison to the wicked queen. I like how AJ’s character has been involved in this WWE Title scene without being a full fledged distraction to the actual WRESTLING that we’ve been gifted with between Punk and Bryan. Fun opening! Vickie Guerrero comes out and announces a triple threat elimination match. It’s between Kane,Read More
WWE No Way Out Final Thoughts: No Way Out delivered well. The card was exactly what I was expecting it to be and I felt the show was a big success overall. Swapping out Del Rio and adding Dolph Ziggler to the World Title match was a terrific idea. I honestly feel Ziggler should be a strong candidate to win MITB next month, but it stands to reason that WWE may just let him fall into obscurity once again. Of the three times he’s now competed for a World Title,Read More

Jim Ross Blogs On Shake Up At No Way Out, Top PPV Matches, AJ

WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross is back with another blog, here are the highlights: WWE No Way Out: “For some reason, nothing specific but just a feeling, I’m guessing that WWE really shakes things up Sunday night on PPV at No Way Out. ‘People Power’ which reminds me of my Aunt Ruth’s ‘sour belches’ (both are/were organically stinky) seems to be in jeopardy with the return of Mr. McMahon but the Boss siding with John Cena on this matter is a head scratcher so who knows what is goingRead More
WWE Diva AJ Lee recently spoke with NorthJersey.com to promote Sunday’s No Way Out pay-per-view. Here are some highlights: Working No Way Out with Kane, Daniel Bryan and CM Punk: “It is the most mind-blowing thing to me. The Rundown is meant to be a very long column spanning the entire week of wrestling, and this piece certainly fits that and will from now on. Raw will be the only show that gets its own column, and the rest will be done here. Prediction columns will also be separate. There is a lot to talk about from this week, so let’s get to it! TNA Slammiversary Final Thoughts: This was a great show. James Storm’s return really stood out to me as a key moment for the storylinesRead More
- Had WWE not suspended Randy Orton for his second violation of the Talent Wellness Program, he would have been scripted to defeat Dolph Ziggler at this Sunday’s No Way Out pay-per-view event. The Viper was scheduled to feud with Ziggler and Chris Jericho in the weeks leading up to a SummerSlam showdown with Sheamus. – According to a source within WWE, several company employees believe Chris Jericho was suspended for thirty days due to the act of denigrating the Brazilian flag at a Raw live event in São PauloRead More

Raw opens with John Laurinaitis and Vince McMahon. Sheamus comes out and tells Vince he wants JL fired. JL tells Sheamus that he’ll be sorry for the things he said about him. Vince tells JL that he better be impressed by the show or he’ll be firing him at the end of the night. Vince pushes JL’s people power scooter off the stage. ^Vince is back for the ratings. I do believe that people would tune in just to see Vince, and I guess that makes me wonder just howRead More
- WWE also has an article up wondering if Vince McMahon will fire John Laurinaitis when he kicks off next week’s three-hour RAW Supershow. Here’s part of their teaser: “The last time Laurinaitis faced a performance evaluation in January, it looked like Triple H was going to “future endeavor” the GM before Undertaker interrupted the WWE COO’s assessment. Then, “Mr. Excitement” survived another close call in February when he convinced the Board of Directors to spare his position as Raw GM. Will things be any different this time around forRead More
