FATP: Chris Jericho’s WWE Return

Phew. This is gonna be tough. I have something to admit to all of you about Chris Jericho’s WWE return. My name’s George, I’m 31 years old and for most of the last 15 years, I’ve been…a Jerichoholic. It’s an addiction, and a serious one at that. I hope that you’ll all support me as I try to recover from my latest relapse. All joking aside, I’m a self-confessed Jerichoholic. Have been since the moment he debuted on Raw in 1999, interrupted The Rock and turned Raw is War intoRead More

WWE’s New Problem: Bad News Injuries

It’s been a bad couple of months over in Stamford, Connecticut. Wrestlemania was followed up by Injurymania, and the two people shining brightest both took a hard fall. We already know about Daniel Bryan’s neck surgery, which ended up costing him the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. Neck problems have plagued the best and brightest of WWE for years. Steve Austin, Kurt Angle, Chris Benoit, Edge. Great talents in the ring, and for the most part, great on a microphone too, all having careers cut short (or constantly interrupted) by neckRead More

The Unwatchable WWE Raw And A Broken Shield

I’m watching the segment over as I write this, and I still cannot stand it. Last night, the Shield was blown up, as Seth Rollins “sold out” to Triple H and turned on his running buddies, Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns. I suppose it was the logical end for them, since they really had no more to accomplish after a sweep of Evolution in their Payback rematch, but as a fan, it was immensely hard to handle. The Shield was the one enjoyable, consistent match week in and week out.Read More

The Two Sheds Review: WWE Payback 2014

It was a pay per view that promised much, even though it didn’t have a title match as it’s main event. But did it actually deliver? That was what I was hoping to find out by watching WWE Payback, shown live in the early hours of this past Monday morning on Sky Sports here in Britain. The show began with the first title match of the evening as Paul Heyman guy Cesaro challenged Sheamus for the United States title. I always enjoy it when you get an all-European battle inRead More

It’s time to step into WWE territory once more as we take a look at their latest pay per view offering, with Kane facing Daniel Bryan in the main event of Extreme Rules, shown live in the early hours of this past Monday morning on Sky Box Office here in Britain. The show began with triple threat elimination action between Rob Van Dam, Zeb Colter guy Jack Swagger and Paul Heyman guy Cesaro. As far as show openers go this wasn’t too bad. All three guys put in creditable performances,Read More

FATP: WrestleMania 30 Fallout

After an indefinite hiatus, welcome along to the latest edition of FATP. Sorry it’s taken so long to put fingers to keys! WWE’s landmark 30th WrestleMania event is now consigned to the history books, and a whole hell of a lot has happened over the last seven days in particular, so (in no particular order) here’s my take on the biggest stories of the week. This might become a regular thing. I’m not sure. I’ll see how it goes. Daniel Bryan Crowned the New WWE World Heavyweight Champion After whatRead More

The Two Sheds Review: WWE Wrestlemania XXX

It’s the biggest show of the year, the grand-daddy of them all, but did it live up to the hype? That’s what I’m hoping to find out by reviewing WWE Wrestlemania XXX, shown live in the early hours of this past Monday morning on Sky Box Office here in Britain. The show began with a great in-ring segment featuring Hulk Hogan, Steve Austin and the Rock, and after those three legends shared a few beers it was on to the first match of the evening as Triple H, accompanied byRead More

The above “Occupy RAW” segment from Monday’s WWE RAW, will be looked back at years from now as the pivotal point to the start of the Daniel Bryan Era in the WWE. Whether WWE planned this storyline, or if they were forced to make “creative changes” because of the negative feedback from the fans, the payoff at WrestleMania XXX will be epic. It has been a long road for Daniel Bryan, full of twists and turns, but it seems that the WWE has finally gotten this right. Lets take aRead More

Evolution truly is a mystery. Who would have thought Daniel Bryan would be in a position to close Wrestlemania 30 as the champion? From the day the legendary faction made up of Ric Flair, Batista, Randy Orton and Triple H, took WWE by storm in January 2003, they have played a major part in the product we see on TV, and behind the scenes. As Wrestlemania 30 approaches, what we are seeing is the conclusion of the story line that originated to create two new stars, as Triple H putRead More

Death of Wrestling: Daniel Bryan vs. Triple H

Greetings to all… It’s David Davis with my weekly blog: Death of Wrestling. For all of those who read this regularly, you will know that this is not a blog about bashing wrestling; it’s a blog of a frustrated fan, who loves the business and wishes that each week it could be a little better. So I wondered what it’d take to make the YES MOVEMENT die… and to say it’s died is a bit premature, I know, but watching Monday’s Raw made me realise that it’s not as strongRead More

The Two Sheds Review: WWE Elimination Chamber

It was the final pay per view stop on the road to Wrestlemania, but was it any good? That’s what I’m hoping to find out by taking a look back at WWE’s Elimination Chamber, shown live in the early hours of this past Monday morning on Sky Sports here in Britain. The show began with the first title match of the evening as Zeb Colter guy Jack Swagger challenged Big E for the Intercontinental title. As far as show openers go this was pretty decent. Both combatants had a greatRead More

Note: WWE Elimination Chamber will NOT be available on the WWE Network this Monday. It will be available 30 days later. Thus, if you are trying to save $50 and wait a day to watch the pay-per-view, tough luck! That short cut will not work. Sorry. I believe it is the only pay-per-view not set to be on the WWE Network starting Monday. The rest from the past (WWE, WCW, ECW) will be. Chamber? Have to wait for next month until it is added. That is to protect Sunday’s buyRead More
