The Unwatchable WWE Raw And A Broken Shield

I’m watching the segment over as I write this, and I still cannot stand it. Last night, the Shield was blown up, as Seth Rollins “sold out” to Triple H and turned on his running buddies, Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns. I suppose it was the logical end for them, since they really had no more to accomplish after a sweep of Evolution in their Payback rematch, but as a fan, it was immensely hard to handle. The Shield was the one enjoyable, consistent match week in and week out.Read More

FATP: WrestleMania 30 Fallout

After an indefinite hiatus, welcome along to the latest edition of FATP. Sorry it’s taken so long to put fingers to keys! WWE’s landmark 30th WrestleMania event is now consigned to the history books, and a whole hell of a lot has happened over the last seven days in particular, so (in no particular order) here’s my take on the biggest stories of the week. This might become a regular thing. I’m not sure. I’ll see how it goes. Daniel Bryan Crowned the New WWE World Heavyweight Champion After whatRead More

Death of Wrestling: Daniel Bryan vs. Triple H

Greetings to all… It’s David Davis with my weekly blog: Death of Wrestling. For all of those who read this regularly, you will know that this is not a blog about bashing wrestling; it’s a blog of a frustrated fan, who loves the business and wishes that each week it could be a little better. So I wondered what it’d take to make the YES MOVEMENT die… and to say it’s died is a bit premature, I know, but watching Monday’s Raw made me realise that it’s not as strongRead More

So I said to my brother in law that if Batista wins the Rumble then I’m going to stop watching wrestling… Batista won the Rumble and in all honesty, I’ve kind of stopped watching wrestling…Read More

From Across The Pond: WWE & TNA Q&A

It’s that time again. Yup, thanks to my self-imposed hiatus from all things WWE and TNA, I wanted to write a column, but had no idea what to write about. That’s where you fine people came in! You supplied the questions and I’m set to fire through them with my answer gun. I got plenty of questions from Facebook and Twitter, as well as by e-mail. Some of them are serious, some of them are more sarcastic. You should be able to tell them apart, but be warned! This article’sRead More

WWE History Shows CM Punk Will Return, Sooner Or Later

CM Punk will be back. If there’s anything that we can learn from WWE’s history with its disgruntled and/or estranged talent, it’s that they always come back eventually. Some take longer than others to come around, but return they ultimately do. Hulk Hogan, Ultimate Warrior, Steve Austin, Bret Hart, and others – all at one time churned up major, real-life issues with Vince McMahon, and all of them found their way home to the promotion they made their name in at some point. For CM Punk, it’s now a questionRead More

For all of those who read this regularly, you will know that this is not a blog about bashing wrestling; it’s a blog of a frustrated fan, who loves the business and wishes that each week it could be a little better. I’m not sure that I’m okay with them busting Daniel Bryan back down to mid-card status. Okay, okay, the WWE claim to be using this as a way to elevate the Wyatt family, but somethingRead More

Death of Wrestling: Wrestlemania

Greetings to all… It’s David Davis with my weekly blog: Death of Wrestling. For all of those who read this regularly, you will know that this is not a blog about bashing wrestling; it’s a blog of a frustrated fan, who loves the business and wishes that each week it could be a little better. Jim Ross has posted a new blog entry on his official website. Below are some highlights: – Backstage skits are largely, in my opinion feast or famine. The Anger management scenes were entertaining especially when Kane named off a list of some of his indiscretions including “burning a couple of people.” – The HHH highlights brought back some great memories for me including The Game’s 2X3 fall bout with @steveaustinBSR in Vegas on PPV which was the night after I called an XFL game in the rain in Chicago. FATP: Raw – It’s All About The Game

What’s up guys? After an unexpected two-week break, I’m back with another edition of “From Across the Pond”. To be honest, after all the writing I’ve been doing lately I’ve begun to feel a little bit burned out, so the break’s done me some good. I thought I was gonna struggle for something to write about this week, but that was before I watched the last couple of Raw episodes, so thanks for that WWE!
