ThunderStruck: Raw Analysis 05/28/12

Big Show opens Raw by putting everyone down and then talks about destroying Cena at No Way Out. ^Despite this being similar to his last two promos, this was actually a more well thought out speech from Show. It seemed to have more of an explanation as to exactly why he turned on Cena and has become “unstoppable” once again. I love how as a face he gets beat by heels left and right, but as a heel he’s considered such a huge monster that can’t be taken down. SomehowRead More

Over the Limit is this Sunday on ppv, and here are Mike Lightning’s predictions for the show along with my own. I don’t have a lot to say about this show, and that’s mostly because I’m letting the show speak for itself and hoping the outcome isn’t as obvious as it appears to be. Based on the card, it could flop, or it could flourish. Let’s get to it. Speculation: Lightning and I both believe that Miz and Brodus Clay will wrestle an impromptu match, and we both believe Brodus’Read More

Triple H says he will address the world with what he wants to say; he wishes JL luck in his match on Sunday. ^Anybody else wonder why JL wasn’t fired by Trips after his business with Undertaker was dealt with? ThunderStruck: Raw Analysis 04/30/12

The show opens with John Laurinaitis calling out Brock Lesnar after putting him over as the new face of WWE. Triple H interrupts before they can say anything. He tells Brock he will only stay in WWE under his original contract terms and not the non-approved terms that JL agreed to last week. Brock gets pissed and attacks Triple H. ThunderStruck: Raw Analysis 04/23/12

I’m going to start out by saying that I don’t have high expectations for these three hour shows. Things are usually dragged out much more with frequent commercial breaks and very little is ever accomplished. This Raw was no exception, and this column reflects on my frustration with that. Raw opens with Teddy Long standing in the ring with everything set up for the contract signing between Brock Lesnar and John Cena. He brings out Cena. He calls for Lesnar, but John Laurinaitis comes out instead. JL says Lesnar isRead More

ThunderStruck: Smackdown! Analysis 04/20/12

Daniel Bryan says he will beat Sheamus at Extreme Rules. AJ comes out. He beats her down verbally and tells her he wishes she had never been born. He leaves. ^The crowd is going to love Bryan no matter how he acts. His wrestling talent and yes chants shine far more than his jerk persona. It makes me wonder if creative will stick to keeping the title on Sheamus with Bryan having this much popularity with the audience. AJ goes one on one with Natalya. AJ is so upset fromRead More

ThunderStruck: Raw Analysis 04/16/12

We open Raw with a no DQ, no countout WWE Title match with CM Punk defending against Mark Henry. Punk wins the match via the three count after using a steel chair drop from the top rope with the chair in place of his elbow. ^This wasn’t incredible, but it was pretty good and definitely an entertaining match. Henry dominated Punk all over ringside and looked to have a major upper hand when he threw Punk into the ringside barrier. The character of Punk looked angry and frustrated throughout theRead More
