Phew. This is gonna be tough. I have something to admit to all of you about Chris Jericho’s WWE return. My name’s George, I’m 31 years old and for most of the last 15 years, I’ve been…a Jerichoholic. It’s an addiction, and a serious one at that. I hope that you’ll all support me as I try to recover from my latest relapse. All joking aside, I’m a self-confessed Jerichoholic. Have been since the moment he debuted on Raw in 1999, interrupted The Rock and turned Raw is War intoRead More

WWE History Shows CM Punk Will Return, Sooner Or Later

CM Punk will be back. If there’s anything that we can learn from WWE’s history with its disgruntled and/or estranged talent, it’s that they always come back eventually. Some take longer than others to come around, but return they ultimately do. Hulk Hogan, Ultimate Warrior, Steve Austin, Bret Hart, and others – all at one time churned up major, real-life issues with Vince McMahon, and all of them found their way home to the promotion they made their name in at some point. For CM Punk, it’s now a questionRead More

Death of Wrestling: Forgetting the Good Stuff

Greetings to all… It’s David Davis with my weekly blog: Death of Wrestling. For all of those who read this regularly, you will know that this is not a blog about bashing wrestling; it’s a blog of a frustrated fan, who loves the business and wishes that each week it could be a little better. So… Battleground… sigh… bigger sigh… But I don’t want to dwell on the bad stuff. I’ve spoken before about pointless gimmick PPVs and I’m sure I will again. I’ve also spoken about bad finishes toRead More

Jake “The Snake” Roberts appeared on In Your Head. Highlights from the interview are as follows: What advice did he give to Steve Austin shortly before his career took off? “Well, I knew that if they ever pushed him that he would wind up a babyface because again he was the same cut as I was as far as being a bad SOB and not doing stuff that was stupid. See, that’s the thing that I drilled into him was don’t go out there and do something that the fansRead More
