Death of Wrestling: Big Show

Greetings to all… It’s David Davis with my weekly blog: Death of Wrestling. For all of those who read this regularly, you will know that this is not a blog about bashing wrestling; it’s a blog of a frustrated fan, who loves the business and wishes that each week it could be a little better. This week I’ve just got a short thought on the Big Show… Now it wasn’t that long ago that he had a feud with Cody Rhodes where he was mocked for being the comedy act,Read More

FATP: I Want My Impact Back

It’s time for the latest edition of FATP with yours truly! Thanks to everyone who tweeted/emailed/commented about last week’s post where I made 5 Bold Predictions for 2013. Some of you agreed, some disagreed. So pretty much the usual then! Haha… That’s what I’m here for. To create talking points and chat about wrestling! This week, I figured I’d write my customary periodic thoughts on TNA. As regular readers will know, I’ve preferred TNA to WWE for most of the last 12 months, purely because the overall quality is betterRead More

FATP: 5 Bold Predictions for 2013

It’s time for the latest FATP with yours truly. Welcome along for the ride! It’s gonna be chock-full of my usual brand of ranting and raving, with maybe a sprinkling of positivity. Maybe. It feels pretty strange to be sitting down and writing a blog. I’ve not done any writing for about 2/3 weeks. The FATP Awards and WWE Year in Review were written WELL before Xmas and to be honest, I was a little bit sick of wrestling at that point. I’ve only really watched Impact and Raw fromRead More

For all of those who read this regularly, you will know that this is not a blog about bashing wrestling; it’s a blog of a frustrated fan, who loves the business and wishes that each week it could be a little better. As it’s the end of the world… sorry… year… I thought I’d look back over 2012 and pinpoint what I consider to be the biggest nail in the coffin for Professional Wrestling. I’ve written aRead More

Michael’s Musings – The Golden Mike Awards

It is the end of the year and everyone is talking about the best that professional wrestling has had to offer in the past year. 2012 has been a hell of a year in the world of professional wrestling and everyone seems to have a different opinion about what was the greatest things. I thought it would only be fair to post my awards for the best of TNA and WWE Wrestling, it is a little award I like the call The Golden Mike. Wrestler of the Year: Bobby Roode.Read More

FATP Mailbag Special

Welcome to this week’s edition of FATP. Thanks for all the amazing feedback I got about last week’s column where I looked back at the participants involved at last year’s TLC PPV and where they are now. I’ll even throw out a thank you to the guy who e-mailed me with nothing else to say except “you missed such and such”. Yes I did, but I wrote over 6,000 words, so gimme a break! Haha.. OK, so last week I mentioned that I’d be doing a one-off mailbag because it’sRead More

Death of Wrestling: Aces and Eights

Greetings to all… It’s David Davis with my weekly blog: Death of Wrestling. For all of those who read this regularly, you will know that this is not a blog about bashing wrestling; it’s a blog of a frustrated fan, who loves the business and wishes that each week it could be a little better. It’s been a pretty good week of wrestling so far with Final Resolution and pretty solid ‘go home shows’ for Raw and Smackdown. So I just want to talk about something that I don’t thinkRead More

FATP: Show a little respect

For the second week in a row, it’s later than expected, but welcome to the latest edition of FATP! It’s been a busy week wrestling wise. I watched 2 hours of TNA on Sunday night, as well as catching Survivor Series live, before watching Raw live for the first time in months on Monday. I’ve only just got somewhat back to normal now, so I’m sorry this is late again. Watching all that wrestling this week brought something to my attention, which is gonna be the focus of this FATP.Read More

FATP: PPV Special

We’re well into another week, which means that the latest FATP is probably overdue! I’ve been struggling to find something exciting to write about, so I thought I’d combine TNA and WWE for this week only! I’ll give my brief thoughts on TNA Turning Point, which was only shown in the UK last night, before previewing Survivor Series, which is live this Sunday. Sound good? Cool, let’s get to it. TNA Turning Point Review I’m not gonna give a blow-by-blow account of what happened because, to be honest, it’d takeRead More
