Welcome to part three of my top Summerslam matches! This year’s show is starting to take shape, and the WWE Title match has now been set. CM Punk will be defending the WWE Title against Big Show and John Cena in a triple threat match, and I can see the chemistry that Punk has with both men making this match something special. As for the past, I’ve listed the matches from part one and two first before looking at 30-21. Enjoy! 50. 1994 – Undertaker vs Undertaker 49. 2008 –Read More

Thunder’s Top Summerslam Matches Part 2

Welcome to part two! I hope you’re all getting excited for the upcoming event! The card for the show is slowly taking shape, and I’m looking forward to finding out how the World Title scene specifically is going to play out this year. Dolph Ziggler has been primed to jump in and become champion, but Sheamus’ reign as champ has been solid and has realistically been threatened by no one. I like the possibilities of the upcoming changes! Now it’s time for another blast from the past! 50. 1994 –Read More

Thunder’s Top Summerslam Matches Part 1

Money in the Bank has passed, and now it’s time to look ahead at Summerslam! This event has largely been considered WWE’s second biggest behind WrestleMania, and the show has produced some of the best and most interesting matches in all of WWE history. Every week from now until Summerslam, I’ll be counting down what I believe are the top fifty matches in the history of WWE’s annual summer spectacular. - Big Show recently spoke with AZCentral.com to promote Sunday’s WWE Money in the Bank pay-per-view. Here are some highlights: Q: What about you? Is your persona in the ring close to the real you? A: I think my persona when I’m a bad guy is me in a bad mood on a bad day amplified. I don’t run around like I do on TV; if I did, I’d be in a lot of trouble ( laughing). Sometimes my family and my wife will see me on TV and say,Read More
- WWE has been very aggressive this week in shutting down parody and fake Twitter accounts mocking the organization and its employees as well as Facebook pages portraying WWE Superstars. Notably, a popular Twitter account parodying head chief Vince McMahon was suspended Wednesday. Known as CrankyVince, the account would spoof McMahon’s demeanor and mindset with random musings depicting the WWE Chairman as eccentric, maniacal and drug-addled. It had drawn alarming concern from organization officials since last year, who believed it was being controlled by an employee within proximity of McMahonRead More

WWE has a history of introducing new superstars with some “special” videos, called vignettes, which usually generate a lot of hype, and are debated on for weeks, or even months. He has managed to keep the dirt sheets spiraling with rumors and backstage reports because of these vignettes. Let us take a trip down memory lane, and look back at the debuts ofRead More
- WWE also has an article up wondering if Vince McMahon will fire John Laurinaitis when he kicks off next week’s three-hour RAW Supershow. Here’s part of their teaser: “The last time Laurinaitis faced a performance evaluation in January, it looked like Triple H was going to “future endeavor” the GM before Undertaker interrupted the WWE COO’s assessment. Then, “Mr. Excitement” survived another close call in February when he convinced the Board of Directors to spare his position as Raw GM. Will things be any different this time around forRead More
