It’s time to step into WWE territory once again as we take a look at their latest pay per view offering, Battleground, shown live in the early hours of this past Monday morning on Sky Box Office here in Britain. The show began with the first title match of the evening as Wyatt Family members Erick Rowan and Luke Harper challenged Jimmy & Jey Uso for the Tag Team titles in a best of three falls match. To say that this was a great way to start the show wouldRead More

The Two Sheds Review: WWE Wrestlemania XXX

It’s the biggest show of the year, the grand-daddy of them all, but did it live up to the hype? That’s what I’m hoping to find out by reviewing WWE Wrestlemania XXX, shown live in the early hours of this past Monday morning on Sky Box Office here in Britain. The show began with a great in-ring segment featuring Hulk Hogan, Steve Austin and the Rock, and after those three legends shared a few beers it was on to the first match of the evening as Triple H, accompanied byRead More
No stalling today. Just a few topics and some reader feedback. Raw Rating Let me be clear: On Monday night, WWE Raw was the number one show on cable. Most watched and all that fun stuff. Top of the top! Cause for celebration, right? Not so fast. Obviously, this is excellent news for the company trying to secure a huge television deal. However, the rating/viewership could have been soooooooooooooo much higher. You know how WWE spent a month hyping up Batista’s big return earlier this year? WHERE WAS THAT? Seriously.Read More

Death of Wrestling: Christian’s Return

Greetings to all… It’s David Davis with my weekly blog: Death of Wrestling. For all of those who read this regularly, you will know that this is not a blog about bashing wrestling; it’s a blog of a frustrated fan, who loves the business and wishes that each week it could be a little better. Yo, yo, yo people. It’s been a couple of weeks since my last post; mainly due to the fact that my daughter was born and I gave myself a little bit of paternity leave… ButRead More

FATP: The Rise and Fall of Zack Ryder

Welcome to the 2nd FATP of the week here on! You won’t find the articles I write here posted anywhere else. Thanks to those of you who followed me, and tweeted your feedback to the article I posted on Sunday, where I blamed WWE for their lack of fresh main-event stars. I’m sorry if I didn’t get back to all of you individually. I’ve been hell of a busy lately, but I’ve read everything you said. Reader opinion seemed to be split 50-50 on whether or not WWE areRead More

Death of Wrestling: ADR

Greetings to all… It’s David Davis with my weekly blog: Death of Wrestling. For all of those who read this regularly, you will know that this is not a blog about bashing wrestling; it’s a blog of a frustrated fan, who loves the business and wishes that each week it could be a little better. This week I want to take a moment to think about the ‘new apex predator of the WWE’ Alberto Del Rio. Now as you know, I very rarely rag on wrestlers (this is no different)Read More

The CW Network Upset With Zack Ryder’s Finisher?

The CW Network doesn’t approve of Zack Ryder’s finisher the “Rough Ryder.” On the September 22nd edition of WWE Saturday Morning Slam, Ryder used the move to defeat William Regal. The move was edited out with a cut away to the crowd on that show. This is due to the show’s rule about no moves that focus on the head or neck area. Ryder is popular among the kids demographic and the WWE and CW Network recognize the value of him being featured on the program. WWE is still planningRead More

Dave Scott – Monday Night Long

Hey there guys, Dave Scott here with the back to normal Monday night banter! I’ve been racking my brain the past few hours thinking about what I’m going to write about this week. It is hard enough sometimes staying up until 4am when it was 2 hours long, but now that there is that extra hour and nothing overly great happening I’ve been falling asleep before the end of Raw. Now there wouldRead More
