Talk Within WWE Of Triple H Wrestling Ryback At The Royal Rumble

Since Ryback’s return to WWE programming on the Oct. 27 showing of “Monday Night Raw,” he has once again been pushed as a monster babyface, similarly to his first stint in WWE in 2012. The first program for “The Big Guy” has seen him butt heads with The Authority, eventually leading to him joining Team Cena for the main event at the 2014 “Survivor Series” pay-per-view.

During this program, there has been noticeable animosity between Ryback and Triple H. In fact, the two will have had three face-to-face encounters, all of which have closed a show, in the span of seven days. First, on the Nov. 14 showing of “Smackdown,” the show ended with the two having a stare down. Then, on next week’s episode of “Monday Night Raw,” airing Nov. 17, the two stared each other down again. Upon Team Cena and Team Authority brawling to close the show, Ryback and “HHH” were the only two left in the ring. Another stare down commenced, which would end up allowing John Cena to deliver an “Attitude Adjustment” to the WWE COO. Finally, on “Smackdown” on Nov. 21, the two closed the show again, this time with physicality.

A recent edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, hosted by Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline, claims that WWE does indeed have plans for Ryback and Triple H to square off in the future. Within WWE, there has been a great deal of speculation that the company is indeed building to the match. Nothing is definite, but there has been talk of the two squaring off at the 2015 “Royal Rumble” pay-per-view.
