TNA Impact Wrestling – April 10, 2014

The opens with the arrival of Dixie Carter. She says that she has a lot to say, just not right now. MVP talks about the TNA title match from last week and announces the 10-man over the top rope gauntlet match to decide the number one contender for the TNA title. Winner faces Magnus at Sacrifice. James Storm makes his entrance for the 10-man match. Gunner enters and attacks Storm on the ramp.

10-Man Gauntlet (Winner becomes #1 Contender for the TNA Title)

Gunner throws Storm in the ring and takes control. Storm fights back with kicks from the apron. Gunner catches him in a cross body and his the fall away slam. Gunner tries to eliminate Storm, but Storm fights back. Gunner clotheslines Storm in the corner. Gunner tries to eliminate Storm again, but fails. Storm fights back as Bobby Roode heads to the ring as the third entrant. Gunner meets Storm in the ring and the two go at it. Roode eventually grounds Gunner with a clothesline. Roode and Storm face off and decide to work together. They kick Gunner while he’s down. They throw Gunner into the corner and take their turns executing moves. They both go to eliminate Gunner. They almost do, but Bully Ray hits the ring as the fourth entrant. Ray comes in and cleans house. Roode ends up hitting Ray from behind. Roode and Storm hit a double suplex on Ray. Ray gets up though, and hits a double clothesline. Gunner gets up and he and Ray hit splashes on Roode and Storm in different corners. Ray and Gunner work together to beat down Roode. Ray holds Roode for the Wassup off the top rope, but Storm cuts them off. Ethan Carter III heads out to the ring as the fifth man. EC3 ends up getting attacked by Ray in the corner. Roode goes after Ray and EC3 follows. Ray attacks EC3 in the corner. Gunner is down and Ray chops everyone else in the ring. Roode grounds Ray. EC# and Storm double team Gunner in the corner. Roode goes for the elimination on Ray. Bobby Lashley comes to the ring as the next entrant. Lashley cleans house. Ray comes out of the corner and clotheslines EC3. Gunner works on eliminating Roode, but fails. Abyss comes to the ring as another entrant in the gauntlet. Abyss attacks Ray and then chokes Lashley. Abyss attacks everyone but EC3. Magnus’ music hits and he comes to the announce table, as he is not in the match. We head to commercial.

Back from commercial, where Eric Young makes his entrance into the match. During the break, Sanada entered the match. Young attacks Abyss in the corner. He throws Sanada into Abyss. Young goes for the elimination on Abyss, but is fought off. Wrestlers are randomly attacking each other and trying to make eliminations. Willow’s music hits and he runs to the ring. Willow hits the ring and hits everybody. He faces off with EC3 in the middle of the ring. They go at it while Spud wheels out to the ring in a wheel chair. On the apron, Willow goes for a suplex on EC3 out of the ring. EC3 blocks it and Spud comes up to pull Willow off the apron. Willow is eliminated and he chases Spud out of the Impact Zone. Abyss eliminates Sanada. Lashley hits a spear on Abyss. EC3 attacks Lashley. Lashley slams EC3. Roode eliminates Lashley. Ray eliminates Bobby Roode. Ray is eliminated by Roode, outside of the ring, and EC3. EC3 and Gunner go at it, but Gunner hypes up and fights off Carter. Storm comes out of nowhere with the Last Call Superkick on Gunner and then eliminates him. Eric Young is left with Storm, EC3, and Abyss. All three beat down Young. EY fights back and is thrown over the top rope by EC3. Young holds on and eliminates EC3 with a head scissors. Abyss and Storm beat down Young in the ring. They’re the last three in the match. Young fights them off and hits a backdrop on Storm. Abyss comes after him, but he grounds him and hits a elbow drop from the top rope. Storm comes in and grounds Young. Storm ddt’s Young. Storm measures Young for the superkick but misses. young eliminates Storm. Abyss immediately hits a huge move on Young. Abyss clotheslines Young over the rope, but Young holds on. Young slides back in the ring and ends up on the apron again. Young hits a missile dropkick. Young charges Abyss and clotheslines Abyss out of the ring for the elimination.

Winner: Eric Young

Christy Hemme interviews Young in the ring. Young says to MVP that the number one contender has a request. We head to commercial break.

Back from commercial, where Young awaits MVP. We see a replay of EY winning the match. Young repeats his callout of MVP. MVP’s music hits and he heads out onto the stage. Young says that his right arm is really messed up, but it’s live TV and anything can happen. Young says he’s feeling crazy tonight. He says he’s already won once and he’s been waiting ten long years. He says he wants his title shot tonight. MVP asks him if he’s understanding him correctly. The crowd chants “Yes.” MVP looks at Magnus over at the announce table and tells him that the TNA title match will happen tonight. Magnus grabs a mic. Magnus says that it’s just fine. He says it’s Magnus rules anyway. MVP tells him that there’s no Magnus rules and that if he’s counted out or DQ’d, he’ll lose the TNA title. MVP says that Abyss is banned from ringside as well. MVP then says that any interference in the match will result in a firing.

Backstage, Spud waits for Dixie in a decorated room. She walks in and Spud surprises her. Dixie says that she’s got to go find MVP. She leaves and Willow comes in and attacks Spud. Up next is four-way Knockouts match. We head to break.

Back from break, where three Knockouts are in the ring. Angelina Love makes her entrance accompanied by Velvet Sky.

Angelina Love vs. ODB vs. Gail Kim vs. Britney (Number One Contender’s Match For The Knockout’s Championship

Kim goes after Britney and ODB controls Love in the corner. Britney and ODB trade punches in the ring. They hit each other with clotheslines at the same time. Kim attack Britney on the ground. Love and Kim work together until the pin opportunity arises. Love and Kim fight, but Britney takes advantage. Britney hits Kim in the corner and Love takes her out. Love slams Britney. ODB gets back in the ring and attacks Love. She keeps control of both Kim and Love. ODB hits a fallaway slam on Kim. ODB hits the Bronco Buster on Love. Kim takes ODB down from behind. Love comes in and grounds Britney. Kim kicks her and takes her down with a clothesline and backbreaker. Love is rolled up by Kim and Love kicks out. Velvet Sky is able to spray Kim in the face with a bottle and Love hits a huge kick to the head for the three-count.

Winner: Angelina Love

Backstage, MVP is on the phone. Dixie walks into his office. Dixie reminds him that she’s still President of the company. She tells him he’s a joke. MVP threatens to have her removed by security. She makes fun of his plan to run TNA. She says he’s abused his power. Dixie says that Ray is the only reason he’s in power. She invites MVP to watch her confront Bully Ray. We head to break.

Back from break, where the Wolves walk into MVP’s office. DJ Z and Jesse have explained that Robbie’s flight was cancelled and the match can’t happen. MVP asks Jesse why he has both tag titles. MVP says he has an idea. He says that Robbie has until bell time to arrive. He says that if Robbie is not here by bell time, then DJ Z will compete. Backstage, Magnus says that Eric Young made a mistake by calling in a match tonight.

Dixie Carter’s music hits and she heads to the ring. Dixie calls out Bully Ray. Ray’s music hits and he heads to the ring. Ray makes reference to the crowd’s anti-Dixie chants. Ray says that he’s shocked she’s talking to him face-to-face. He reminds her of the last time when she didn’t show up in Nashville. She calls him dumb for falling for the trap. She reminds him of the outcome of Ray and Roode’s table match from last week. He says that neither her nor Roode got the job done and he’s still standing. She asks him why he double-crossed her at Lockdown. Ray calls her selfish for calling it her company. He says that it’s the fan’s company. He says that the fans and wrestlers respect him. She says she wants the money back that she gave him to help at the Lockdown match. Ray tells her that he’s spent most of the money, as he’s trying to make her angry. Ray goes to say something, but Dixie slaps the mic out of his hand. She says she’s still President of TNA and that she’s still his boss. She slaps Ray across the face. Ray walks toward her slowly. Bobby Roode blast Ray from behind. Dixie tells him to get a table. Roode grabs a table and puts it in the ring. He sets it up near the corner in the ring. Ray fights off Roode and goes for the Bullybomb. Roode gets out of it and rolls out of the ring. Ray stares Dixie down in the ring. We head to commercial.

Back from commercial, where Magnus approaches Dixie backstage. He asks why she hasn’t said hello to him yet. He asks why she hasn’t wished him good luck. She says that she’s going to drink wine and fly home. Magnus says, “typical woman.” She says he’s ungrateful. Dixie says she’s angry that he has Abyss with him now. He says he doesn’t need her and he walks away. Back to the arena, where The Wolves make their entrance. The BroMan’s music hits and Jesse and DJ Z head to the ring.

The Wolves vs. Jessie Godderz and DJ Z (c) (TNA Tag-Team Title Match)

Jesse starts with Edwards. Davey tags in on an irish whip and they hit double team moves on DJ Z and Jesse. Jesse hits a dropkick on Davey. DJ Z tags in and they fail to double suplex Davey. They dump them out and the Wolves hit a double suicide dive. Edwards tags in and they hit a double team on DJ Z. Edwards chops Z but is hit with a knee by Jesse when hitting the ropes. Jesse tags in and Edwards counters a double backdrop attempt. Davey is tagged in and he cleans house. Davey hits the handspring kick. Davey charges Jesse in the corner and hits a forearm. He then comes off the top rope with the missile drop kick. He gets a two-count and then dumps DJ Z out of the ring. Jesse elbows Davey but the Wolves double team him. Robbie comes out of nowhere and pulls the referee out of the ring. The BroMans are disqualified.

Winners: The Wolves (By Disqualification)

Backstage, Christy Hemme says she’s made a decision. Hemme says that she wants to meet Samuel Shaw in the ring to talk about commitment. We head to break.

Back from break, where Christy Hemme is in the ring. She asks Shaw to come to the ring. Shaw’s music hits and he heads to the ring. The announcers make reference to a tweet that Hemme sent out saying to Shaw that they needed to speak and that her actions may be shocking. Shaw gets into the ring. Hemme tries to quiet the crowds chants. She says that the things between them have been complicated and that she’s had a change of heart. She says that Shaw is misunderstood. Shaw says that he’s happy she’s finally seen the light. He says not to listen to the fans because he’s simply the love of her life. She asks Shaw if he trusts her. She asks if he’ll do anything that she asks or go anywhere she asked. She pulls his glove off with her teeth. She tells him to close his eyes. On the screen, Mr. Anderson hops out of a van and heads to the arena. Anderson hits the ring. Hemme says to turn around with his eyes closed. She says to open his eyes. Anderson hits the Mic Check on Shaw. Anderson grabs the mic and says that the commitment Hemme was talking about was the commitment of Shaw into an Insane Asylum. Anderson throws Shaw out of the ring. Shaw crawls up the ramp toward Christy, while Anderson kicks him. Anderson pulls Shaw outside and into the van. Shaw escapes from the van and runs away. We see Eric Young and Magnus heading toward the ring backstage. Their match is next. We head to commercial.

Back from commercial, where backstage, Willow says that he wants revenge on EC3 and Spud in a handicap match. Eric Young heads to the ring. Magnus makes his entrance. We head to break.

Magnus (c) vs. Eric Young (TNA World Heavyweight Championship Match)

They face off in the ring to start the match. Young attacks Magnus, but Magnus takes control. Magnus slams Young’s head into the turnbuckles. Young counter and irish whip and hits a dropkick. Magnus runs into an elbow from Young. Young missed a moonsault from the top rope. Magnus hits a running knee on Young and he ends up out of the ring. Magnus runs Young into the side of the ring. He tosses him back in and gets a two-count. Magnus goes to a hold. Young dumps Magnus out of the ring. Young goes for a dive, but Magnus counters with a forearm and then throws him into the ring steps. Magnus puts the boots to Young on the outside. We head to commercial.

Back from commercial, where Magnus is in control of Young. Magnus hits a gut-wrench and gets a two-count. Magnus locks in a sleeper hold. Young down to a knee. Young counters with jaw breaker. Young charges Magnus but runs into a backdrop. Magnus locks in the camel clutch. Young counters by lifting Magnus and hitting an electric chair drop. They get up and trade punches. Young wins the battle and eventually hits a forearm and clothesline. Young hits a cutter and then hits the elbow drop from the top rope. He gets a two count on Magnus. Magnus hits a huge clothesline on EY. Magnus hits a slam and gets a two-count. Magnus rolls out and grabs the TNA title belt. He brings it in the ring. The ref takes it away from him. Magnus low blows Young with the ref’s back turned. He only gets two. Young rolls up Magnus for two. Eric Young hits a piledriver on Magnus and gets the three-count.

Winner: Eric Young (New TNA World Heavyweight Champion)

Young celebrates in the ring with the belt. Impact goes off the air.
