TNA Impact Wrestling Results – February 13, 2014

The show opens recapping MVP’s debut on Impact last Thursday. Dixie Carter, Rockstar Spud, Ethan Carter III, and Magnus come to the ring. Dixie explains that she could never lose control of her company because she has Magnus, the TNA champion. Ethan Carter III brags about himself and how he ended the career of Kurt Angle. Magnus goes on to ridicule the Manchester, England crowd and say that he is no a paper champion, he is a man that recognizes opportunity. Magnus says that Dixie is from the land of opportunity and signed Magnus because she saw his greatness. Magnus says that the new investor, MVP, needs to recognize the pecking order in TNA, which he is at the top of. Magnus says that he does not sell out to anyone. The lights go dark and MVP’s music hits. He walks onto the stage accompanied by Samoa Joe. MVP states that Samoa Joe is the number one contender for the TNA title and announces that Magnus will defend the title against Joe at Lockdown. Gunner’s music hits and he joins them on stage with his heavyweight title briefcase. Gunner says to Magnus that he is sick of carrying around the briefcase and tells Magnus that he has seven days to prepare for a match. He says he will cash in his briefcase next week, on Impact. Dixie tells Gunner that he will wrestle EC3 tonight on Impact for control of the briefcase. MVP chimes in and addresses EC3’s briefcase for a tag title match. MVP says there should be a winner take all ladder match featuring EC3 vs. Gunner, next. Dixie accepts the proposal. MVP says to EC3 that he will watch on the monitor and if anything happens, he will personally come to the ring to level the playing field. We go to commercial.

Gunner vs. Ethan Carter III (Ladder Match)

Back from commercial as Gunner and Ethan Carter III are in the ring. Carter rolls out of the ring and gets back in to take control. Gunner hits him with a running knee. Gunner then hits a fallaway slam. Gunner goes out of the ring to get a ladder. Carter dropkicks the ladder into Gunner from the apron out of the ring. Carter sets up the ladder in the ring but Gunner cuts him off as he climbs. Gunner slams Carter’s head into three different top turnbuckles. He then grabs the ladder and hits Carter with it. Gunner irish whips Carter into a ladder that is set up in the corner. Gunner runs toward Carter and the set-up ladder, but Carter moves. Carter grabs the ladder and sets it up in the middle of the ring. Gunner powerbombs him off of the ladder. Gunner climbs the ladder but Magnus hits the ring and pushes it over. James Storm hits the ring and gets rid of Carter and Magnus. MVP comes out with a mic and tells asks Magnus and Carter if they thought he was playing. He declares that the match will be a tag match and that it will be winner take all for the briefcases. We go to commercial.

Gunner and James Storm vs. Magnus and Ethan Carter III

Back from commercial where Gunner and Storm are in control. They double team Carter with the ladder. Gunner starts to climb the ladder but Magnus rips him off of it. Magnus takes down Gunner and hits him with it while he’s down. Crowd is hot at Magnus. Magnus and Carter pull off a great double team move with Magnus holding a ladder with Gunner on it and Carter coming down on him with a splash from the top rope. The other end of the ladder was supported by the middle rope. Magnus and Carter continue to beat down Gunner with the ladder. Magnus dumps Gunner out of the ring. Carter climbs the ladder but Magnus pulls him off. Magnus tells Carter that he should get the briefcases, not Carter. Storm hits the ring and clears it out. Storm and Gunner double team Carter with a hip toss onto a laying ladder. Gunner lifts Carter but Magnus hits him. Storm takes Magnus out of the ring but falls to the floor with him. Carter is chokeslammed by Gunner. Gunner hits a diving headbutt off the top rope on Carter. Gunner climbs the ladder and grabs both briefcases.

Winners: Gunner and James Storm (Gunner retains his TNA title shot and they both earn a tag team title shot)

They advertise tonight’s main event of Mr. Anderson vs. Bully Ray in a Casket Match.

Backstage, Mr. Anderson says that his match later tonight is about family, the one thing Bully Ray doesn’t have that Anderson does. Anderson shows the camera a picture of his twin babies. We go to commercial.

Back from commercial, we go backstage and the BroMans ask Rockstar Spud why James Storm and Gunner were allowed to earn their tag title shot. MVP enters and says that the BroMans and Zema Ion will wrestle the Wolves and a mystery partner. He says that they’ll find out who the mystery partner is when the match begins. A recap of the Eric Young and Abyss match airs. We’ll hear from Abyss later tonight.

Ion and the BroMans enter the ring for their match. The Wolves’ music hits and they make their way to the ring. Tenay says we’ll find out who their partner is, next. We go to commercial.

Back from commercial and the competitors are in the ring. Samoa Joe’s music hits and he is revealed as the mystery parter.

The Wolves and Samoa Joe vs. The BroMans and Zema Ion

Joe hits the ring and a brawl starts. They return to their corners and Richards takes control on Jessie Godderz. Richards hits a handspring kick and tags in Edwards. Eddie keeps control of Robbie and hits a shining wizard. Richards is tagged in and the two double team Robbie. Ion gets knocked off the apron by Richards but is then hit by Robbie. He puts Richards in the corner for control. Ion is tagged in and is hit with some punches by Richards. Ion and the BroMans hit a triple team on Richards in the corner. Jessie presses Richards over his head and Robbie tags in during. Robbie goes to a chinlock on Richards. Richards fights back but is grounded by Robbie. He goes for the pin and gets a two-count. The ref is distracted and the BroMans try to take advantage. Richards fights them off and tags in Joe. Joe cleans house and takes out Ion with a series of moves ending with a backsplash. Ion tries to fight back but is hit with a snapslam. The Wolves execute a double dive on the BroMans through the ropes and out of the ring. Joe puts Ion in the rear-naked choke and Ion immediately taps out.

Winners: Samoa Joe and The Wolves

We go backstage to Abyss choking someone backstage. He asks the guy what he’s looking at and releases him. We go to commercial.

Back from commercial and Velvet Sky explains that Chris Sabin wants a match with her. She asks Dixie to make sure that the match doesn’t happen. Dixie refuses and sends Sky away. MVP asks Dixie how she could do that. They argue about the state of TNA. Spud ridicules MVP about being in jail in the past. MVP tells Spud that they will be in a match against each other, next.

A video package airs chronicling Abyss and Eric Young’s feud. It illustrates the unmasking of Abyss and Joseph Park’s realization that he is Abyss.

We go to the arena and Abyss, in a hood and without his mask, heads to the ring. Abyss grabs a mic and gets into the ring. Abyss says to keep the lights dim and that he’s sorry because he never wanted things to happen this way. He says that his “good buddy,” Eric Young wanted to prove that Abyss and Joseph Park were one in the same. He tells Young to come to the ring to see what he’s done. Young’s music hits and he slowly makes his way to the ring. He stops in front of the ring and says that he was just trying to help. Abyss asks why Young won’t get closer to him and asks if he’s afraid. Young quickly gets into the ring and stands right next to Abyss. Young says that he proved that he wasn’t afraid in the Monster’s Ball match. He says that he wanted to help Park find his brother, Abyss, which he did. Abyss says that this is the reality of what Young did last week. He says that he is Abyss. Young says that he proved that he loves Abyss like the people do. Young says that by pulling his mask off last week, he showed Abyss who he really is. Abyss asks Young who he is and who Young is, angrily. Abyss says that he’s carved his body to bits, destroyed peoples’ lives, and destroyed careers. He says that the scars on his arms tell the story. Abyss continues to talk angrily, but then settles down. Abyss says that he can’t be Abyss anymore with a conscious. He says that he needs help. Young says that they’ve came this far and that they need to finish it. Abyss snaps and says that he doesn’t need Young’s help. He says that they are done. Abyss states that he needs to go away to fix Young’s mistake and to find someone that truly understands him. Abyss picks up his mask and drops it at Young’s feet. He leaves the ring as Young watches.

MVP is shown heading through the backstage area in his ring gear. We go to commercial.

Earlier today: Samuel Shaw walks up to Christy Hemme outside by a bus and tells her that she was right and that they should keep their relationship professional. They awkwardly shake hands.

Back to the arena as Rockstar Spud gets in the ring and MVP’s music hits. MVP makes his way to the ring.

MVP vs. Rockstar Spud

MVP enters the ring and Spud immediately goes out to the floor. Crowd is really behind MVP. Spud tries to get into the ring but MVP cuts him off. MVP gets out of the ring and Spud jumps in quickly. MVP gets in the ring and Spud jumps on him. He strikes MVP repeatedly until he is tossed into the air by MVP. MVP gets him onto the ground and hits the “Ballin'” elbow drop. Spud gets up and MVP hits a huge kick to the head for a pin and the three-count.

Winner: MVP

Up next is Velvet Sky vs. Chris Sabin.

We go backstage as Bobby Roode is searching for Dixie Carter backstage. We go to commercial.

A vignette airs for Willow. Backstage, Dixie is complaining about MVP on the phone. Roode comes in and says that he held up his end of the bargain by helping Magnus and demands a title shot. Dixie refuses and Roode loses it. He says that she owes him a world title shot. She says she owes him nothing. Roode tells her that she doesn’t want him as an enemy and then leaves.

Back to the arena as Velvet Sky is making her way to the ring. We recap Sabin challenging Sky to a match from last week’s Impact. He says that he says when it’s over, not her. Sabin says they’re through. Sabin’s music hits and he heads to the ring.

Velvet Sky vs. Chris Sabin

Sabin gets on the mic and says that since he is a kind-hearted individual, he’s going to allow Sky the first shot on him. He taunts her and says he’s giving her all the attention, just like she wants. Sabin says that he doesn’t even know what he saw in her. He calls her a skank. Sky kicks him in the knee and then kicks him in the groin. Sabin reveals that he was wearing a cup and shows it to the crowd. Sky then hits him with a low blow. Sky then gets on him and begins hitting him. A tall, large woman hits the ring and takes out Sky. Tenay and Tazz ask who she is. Sabin tells the woman to take Sky out and she puts her in a full nelson. Sky falls to the ground and Sabin pins her for a three-count. Sabin celebrates by jumping around the ring.

Winner: Chris Sabin

We go backstage to Bully Ray who is snooping in Mr. Anderson’s belongings. Ray grabs Anderson’s phone and calls Mrs. Anderson. Ray tells her that when Anderson comes home to her, he’ll be in a coffin. He then says to tell the twins that, “daddy says goodbye.” We go to commercial.

Back from commercial where Bobby Roode explains that he lost it in Dixie’s office. He says that everything has to end. He says that it’s over and that he needs time to think. He says that he needs to figure something out for next week. Security arrives and tells him that he has to go according to Dixie’s orders. Roode says ok and leaves with the security guards. We recap Gunner’s challenge to Magnus and the ladder match from earlier in the night. A recap of Bully Ray and Mr. Anderson’s feud is shown.

Back to the ring and it’s time for the main event. Bully Ray’s music hits and he makes his way to the ring. Anderson’s music hits and he heads to the ring.

Bully Ray vs. Mr. Anderson (Casket Match)

Both stare each other down in the ring. Ray takes off his hoodie revealing a Manchester United jersey. Anderson gains control quickly with a series of moves. Anderson strips Ray of the jersey and then chokes him with it. Anderson tosses Ray across the ring. Ray rolls out and Anderson follows him to the floor. Ray gets up and drives Anderson’s head into the ring steps. We go to commercial.

Back from commercial and Anderson tries to hit Ray with a chair, but Ray kicks it back. Anderson gets up and hits Ray with the chair. Anderson goes out of the ring and grabs a table. He slides the table into the ring and sets it up. Anderson is bleeding from the face. Ray hits Anderson with a boot. Ray drops huge punches down on Anderson. Ray wipes some of Anderson’s blood onto his own face. Ray pushes the table closer to the corner of the ring. Ray goes out of the ring and takes the lid off of the casket. He puts the casket and its lid into the ring. Anderson gets on the top rope but Ray crotches him on the turnbuckle. Ray hits Anderson with a chair while he’s on the turnbuckle. Ray goes up to the turnbuckle and hits a superplex. Ray picks up Anderson and puts him in the casket. Ray grabs the lid of the casket and tries to close the it with Anderson inside. Anderson fights him off but Ray hits him with the detached lid. Ray grabs a chair but Anderson hits a low blow. Anderson gets up but Ray hits him with the chair. Ray goes for a powerbomb on the table. Anderson fights back, but is still powerbombed through the table. Ray goes back to position the casket and grabs Anderson. He sets up a piledriver over the casket, but Anderson reverses and hits the Mic Check into the casket. Anderson gets up and puts the lid on top of Ray for the win.

Winner: Mr. Anderson

We go backstage to MVP and Dixie Carter in their office. Dixie says that since MVP acquired shares of TNA that he has been leveraging himself into wrestling operations. Carter offers to buy MVP’s shares. She gives him a document and says that she will wire MVP a substantial amount of money in return for the shares. Dixie says that she is and entrepreneur and MVP is just a wrestler, but he can be better than that. MVP says that he came to TNA to help it become as good as it can be. MVP crumbles up the contract and says no deal. He says that he’ll put up his shares for Dixie’s shares in a four on four match, his team versus her team, at Lockdown. Dixie argues, but accepts the challenge. MVP leaves Dixie in the office. The show ends.
