The show starts backstage where Ethan Carter III, Rockstar Spud, The BroMans, and DJ Z are walking backstage. EC3 says that Bobby Roode is the man to blame for Dixie losing her wrestling operations powers. They approach Roode, who says it’s Dixie fault because her insurance policy, Bully Ray, screwed them in the match. Roode says that since Dixie isn’t at Impact, that they target Bully Ray when he arrives at the arena. We see a recap of some of the matches from Sunday’s Lockdown. We go to the ring where MVP makes his entrance. MVP says that it gives him great pleasure to announce that Dixieland is officially closed. MVP says that he doesn’t know what motivates Bully Ray to do what he does and that he will have time to explain himself and compete on equal footing with the rest of the roster. MVP explains how he is going to run TNA now that he has control of wrestling operations. He says he will use the “MVP Principle.” He says it comes in three parts: motivate, validate, and participate. Magnus interrupts and tells MVP that his game plan moving forward is ridiculous. Magnus goes on to say that Dixie fumbled the ball while trying to keep control of TNA wrestling operations. He says that he ran with the ball while retaining his title. He introduces Abyss as his “insurance policy” and associate. Abyss heads to the ring wearing a new mask. Magnus says that he doesn’t look at Abyss as a freak or a side-show. He says that Abyss is only part monster. He says that Abyss is also motivated by money. MVP tells Magnus that Abyss is clearly the only reason that he retained his title at Lockdown. MVP says that their conversation can’t go any further without the number one contender. Samoa Joe’s music hits and he heads to the ring slowly, selling his injuries from Lockdown. MVP says that Joe is calm because he believes in the “MVP Principle.” MVP says that Magnus will defend the TNA title against Joe at next week’s Impact. He also announces that Joe will face Abyss right now. Joe jumps Abyss and the bell rings. We head to commercial.
Samoa Joe vs. Abyss
Back from commercial and Abyss has control of Joe. Joe fights back with a series of right hands. Joe hits a big hit and then beats down Abyss in the corner. Abyss hits Joe in the gut with a knee and takes back control. Abyss takes Joe to the corner and hits multiple strikes. Abyss goes to a hold on a sitting Joe. Joe gets up and fights off Abyss. Abyss goes for a choke slam, but Joe reverses with an atomic drop. Joe follows it up with a big boot and back splash. Abyss attacks Joe with strikes again, hits the ropes, but is caught by Joe and a power slam. Joe goes to the second rope but is caught by Abyss, who hits the choke slam. Abyss gets out of the ring and looks under it. He pulls Janice from under the ring and gets back in. Eric Young hits the ring and hits Abyss with a huge dropkick off the top rope. This causes a disqualification.
Winner: Abyss (By disqualification)
Abyss comes back but Young dropkicks him again, which sends Abyss to the outside. Abyss stares at Young from outside of the ring.
We go to the back where Jeremy Borash is standing by. Borash says that he’s waiting for Bully Ray. Angelina Love approaches him and asks, “Did you miss me?” We go to commercial.
Back from commercial where Borash is still waiting for Bully Ray to arrive. Willow interrupts Borash and yells a bunch of gibberish. Back to the ring where new TNA Knockout, Brittany, heads to the ring for her debut match. We see a video package detailing Brittany. Gail Kim’s music hits and she heads to the ring with Lei’D Tapa.
Brittany vs. Gail Kim
Kim immediately takes down Brittany and hits her with a few punches. Brittany tries to fight back, but Kim pulls her down by the hair and across her knee. Kim takes the attack to the corner and continues to strike Brittany. Kim in control. Brittany eventually reverses Kim with a russian leg-sweep. Brittany strikes Kim in the corner, but Tapa hits the ring and charges Brittany. She moves and Tapa accidentally hits Kim in the corner. Brittany rolls Kim up and gets the three-count.
After the match, Kim shoves Tapa. Tapa shoves Kim to the floor. Kim gets up and slaps Tapa in the face. Tapa ends up slamming Kim in the ring and beating her down. Referees eventually get Tapa away from Kim.
Backstage, Bully Ray makes his arrival at the arena. Rockstar Spud approaches him and tells Ray that he’s going to pay for what he did to Dixie at Lockdown. EC3 and the others jump Ray from behind. EC3 tells Ray that he embarrassed his family at Lockdown. Spud chokes him with his own chain. Bobby Roode comes in and tells Ray that he screwed him as well. They pick Ray up and Roode hits him with a big sign. Roode yells at Ray. We go to commercial.
Back from commercial where DJ Z is outside the ring. He introduces the BroMans. Their music hits and they head to the ring. Sanada and Tigre Uno head to the ring.
The BroMans vs. Sanada and Tigre Uno
Jessie starts agains Sanada. Jessie hits a scoopslam and a dropkick. He tags in Robbie. Sanada grabs Robbie’s arm and tags in Uno. Uno gets hit with a huge clothesline from Robbie. Jessie is tagged in. Jessie presses Uno over his head and drops him. Robbie tags in and drops a forearm. Robbie tags Jessie back in and they go for a double team move. Uno reverses with a dropkick and Sanada comes off the top rope onto Jessie. Uno and Sanada hit a double team on Robbie. They double suplex Jessie onto Robbie. Sanada hits a dive off of the apron onto the BroMans. Sanada then helps throw Uno over the rope to hit a dive onto the BroMans. The BroMans get thrown back into the ring. Sanada and Uno climb opposite turnbuckles and hit a pair of missile dropkicks. Sanada hits a moonsault on Robbie for the three-count.
Winners: Sanada and Tigre Uno
Backstage, Bully Ray is recovering from the attack he suffered earlier. He picks up his hat and chain and walks away. We head to commercial.
Back from commercial where Madison Rayne and Velvet Sky are backstage. Rayne mentions Angelina Love’s return to Sky, who is silent when hearing the news. In another backstage area, the BroMans argue about their loss. Bully Ray comes in and beats them down. And in the third backstage segment in a row, Samuel Shaw is seen talking. He tells Christy, who we can’t see on screen, that she inspired him and that he wants her to accompany him to the ring. He chases down the camera after he is discovered. And in the fourth backstage segment in a row, EC3 and Rockstar Spud talk about paying tribute to Dixie in the ring. Spud shows EC3 a huge picture of Dixie that he has. They head to the ring and we go to commercial.
Back from commercial and Samoa Joe is looking for Eric Young backstage. He finds him and tells him that Young’s revenge is crossing into his business. Joe says that there will be a problem if Young gets into his business again. Young says that he is afraid and that he needs to fix the problem that he created in Abyss. Young says that Abyss is his problem. Young says that next week he’ll be chained to Abyss.
Back to the ring where EC3 and Spud make their way to the ring with their huge picture of Dixie. Rockstar Spud tells the crowd to be quiet so that they can mourn the loss of Dixie’s control of TNA wrestling operations. Spud says that everyone is collectively mourning. Spud says that wrestling operations are now in the hands of an ex-convict. Spud goes on to say that the night is about Dixie. Spud emotionally shouts about how Dixie made him into the man he is today. Spud says that he has prepared a tribute for Dixie tonight. We see a video package about Dixie Carter and the Lockdown match that awarded MVP control of wrestling operations. Spud says that he has also prepared a reading. Spud reads a poem about Dixie. He’s interrupted by MVP. He heads to the ring. MVP says that the tribute is over. MVP tells Spud that he’s grown on him over the last few weeks. He says that Spud has been loyal to Dixie, which he respects. MVP says that there’s no need for a Chief of Staff anymore. He tells Spud that he needs him to fulfill he obligations to TNA as a wrestler. Spud says that there’s too many people that are larger than him. MVP fires Spud up about wrestling. MVP tells Spud that he’s going to face Willow later tonight. EC3 laughs and MVP calls him out. MVP tells EC3 that next week he will face Bobby Lashley. Lashley heads out to the ring. EC3 says that Lashley is not on the roster and that he will not face him. MVP says that he has a point, so he signed Lashley as his first move as director of wrestling operations. Lashley takes the huge picture of Dixie and hits Spud with it. Spud lies on the mat with the picture while EC3 and Lashley face each other in the ring. EC3 leaves the ring.
We head to the back where Jeremy Borash is standing by. EC3 comes through the curtain and Borash asks him about his match next week with Bobby Lashley. EC3 says that he’s going to beat him within and inch of his life. Out of nowhere, Bully Ray blasts EC3. Ray hits EC3 with a sign. Up next is Mr. Anderson vs. Samuel Shaw in a street fight. We head to commercial.
Back from commercial and Samuel Shaw heads to the ring. He turns and heads back through the entrance way. He returns and heads to the ring with a mannequin with red hair. Anderson’s music hits and he waits for his mic on the stage.
Samuel Shaw vs. Mr. Anderson (Street Fight)
Shaw blasts Anderson on the stage and fights him back toward the ring. Anderson gets thrown back first into the steel steps. Shaw keeps control by driving Anderson into the side of the ring. Anderson eventually fights back but is suplexed on the floor by Shaw. Back in the ring, Anderson fights back with right hands. Anderson hits a clothesline and a swinging neckbreaker. Anderson takes control. Shaw sits in the corner and begs for mercy. Anderson goes over to the mannequin and threatens to punch it. Shaw begs for Anderson to leave it alone. Anderson gives the mannequin a kiss and throws it at Shaw. Shaw catches it and Anderson hits him with the Mic Check. Anderson gets the three-count.
Winner: Mr. Anderson
After the match, Mr. Anderson announces himself as the winner. Backstage, Angelina Love says that she’s missed TNA and that she’s come back for one special person. She says that if you want to know who, to not go away. We head to commercial.
Back from commercial and we see Willow. We cut to a vignette for Kenny King. Angelina Love’s music hits and she heads to the ring. Angelina says that it’s great to be back at home with TNA. She says that her life has changed a lot since she was last with TNA. She tells the fans that she’s missed them. She then calls Velvet Sky to come to the ring. Sky comes out and heads to the ring. They hug in the ring. Love tells Sky that she can’t change the past and that there was many things she should have told her before she left. She says that if it hadn’t been for Sky, she would not have accomplished what she did in wrestling. Love proposes putting the Beautiful People back together. Sky says that she’s been caught off guard and didn’t expect to see Love tonight. She says that she’s finally ready to move on. Love says that the Beautiful People have a lot of unfinished business. She says that they were good, but now they can be great. Sky says that she’s sorry, but she needs more time to think.
Backstage, Bully Ray is looking for more of his attackers. We cut to Willow heading through somewhere backstage. We head to commercial.
Back from commercial, Rockstar Spud is in the ring awaiting Willow. Willow’s music hits and he heads to the ring.
Rockstar Spud vs. Willow
Willow drives Spud into the corners and strikes him in each. Willow charges Spud but Spud moves. Spud gets hit by a back drop from Willow. Willow takes back control. Spud rakes the eyes and heads to the top rope. Willow crotches him and hands him in the tree of woe. Willow chokes Spud with his foot. Willow grabs his umbrella and hits Spud in the groin. The referee calls for the bell.
Winner: Rockstar Spud (By Disqualification)
Willow hits the Twist of Fate on the referee. Willow goes to the outside and grabs a ladder and a chair. In the ring, he sets up the ladder and grabs Spud. Willow hits the front suplex. Willow puts Spud’s leg in the chair and stomps on it. Willow climbs the ladder and hits a huge splash onto Spud. Willow rolls out of the ring. Bully Ray’s music hits and heads to the ring. We go to commercial.
Back from commercial where Bully Ray is in the ring with a mic. The crowd chants “Bully.” Ray says that he can’t believe he’s hearing that. Ray says that his career flashed before his eyes when Mr. Anderson Mic Checked him into the coffin a few weeks ago on Impact. Ray says that he wanted to come to Impact tonight to tell everyone why he did what he did at Lockdown. He says that Bobby Roode and company made things physical. Ray says that if Roode had won the match at Lockdown that he would have just become another Dixie Carter. Ray says that the last thing the wrestling business needs is another Dixie Carter. Ray calls out Bobby Roode to fight and Roode’s music hits. He walks down the ramp in front of the ring. Roode dives in to the ring and the two exchange punches. Ray takes control and lays out Roode. Ray goes to the outside and grabs a table. Ray sets up the table in the ring. Ray turns around and Roode hits him with a spinebuster. Roode waits for Ray to get up and puts him up for the Roode Bomb. Ray gets out of it and hits a cutter. He picks Roode up and powerbombs him through the table. Ray stands over Roode in the ring as Impact goes off the air.
