TNA Slammiversary PPV Results – June 10, 2012

– TNA’s 2012 Slammiversary pay-per-view opens up with a video package looking back at some of the biggest moments in TNA history from the past 10 years and a look at the future.

– We’re live from the University of Texas in Arlington as Mike Tenay welcomes us to TNA’s 10 year anniversary.

– We go right to the ring and out comes Hulk Hogan to open the show.

Hogan comes out to a pretty big pop from the packed crowd. Hogan welcomes us to Slammiversary and says this is a celebration, this is 10 years of TNA Impact Wrestling. Hogan says the next 10 years will be twice as awesome, brother. Hogan says he’s been around the block a few times and this company is shooting to the moon. Hogan says as the General Manager, he just loves pushing people’s buttons. The first button he’s going to push tonight is the first match. Hogan says he decided to go old school tonight and Samoa Joe vs. Austin Aries will open. Hogan announces that it’s now for the X Division Title.

TNA X Division Title Match: Samoa Joe vs. Austin Aries

We go to the ring and out first comes Samoa Joe to a nice reaction from the crowd. The TNA X Division Champion Austin Aries is out next. Tenay brings up that Joe goes over the X Division weight limit but Hogan said we’re going old school so it’s being allowed.

The bell rings and they lock up. They trade holds and break. They lock up again and Aries applies a headlock. Joe breaks free and knocks him down with a shoulder. Aries with a few kicks and right hands now. Joe smacks him and dazes him with kicks of his own. Aries comes back with a big cop. Aries ducks a clothesline and sends Joe to the floor with a hurricanrana. Aries goes to fly outside the ring but Joe cuts him off with a big kick to the head. Joe comes back in the ring with big chops in the corner.

Joe with a splash in the corner and a big kick to the head. Joe puts the boot to Aries’ face now and stomps away in the corner. Joe nails a running boot in the corner and covers Aries for a 2 count. Aries comes back with chops and a forearm but Joe catches him in a big snap slam for 2. Joe works Aries over in the corner some more. Aries gets a boot up and comes off the second rope but Joe drops him and hits a big back splash. Aries fights back but Joe knocks him out of the ring with another big forearm. Joe runs the ropes and dives out to the floor but Aries comes back in. Aries dives out now and takes Joe out.

Aries comes back in with a neckbreaker. He goes to the top and connects with a missile dropkick. Aries goes for a crossbody in the corner but Joe catches him with a big slam for another pin attempt. They trade shots again. Joe blocks a hurricanrana and powerbombs Aries for a 2 count. Joe turns it around into a crab but Aries won’t tap. Joe turns that into a STF but Aries still won’t tap. Joe with another submission and then a roll-up for 2. Aries fights out of the corner but Joe fires back. Joe beats Aries down with a series of headbutts. Joe takes Aries to the top for a Muscle Buster but Aries fights it off. Joe climbs up to the middle rope for a superplex but Aries sends him back to the mat. Aries comes down with a 450 splash for a close 2 count.

They get to their knees and trade shots. Aries with several right hands from his feet. Aries runs the ropes but gets caught with rights from Joe. Joe goes for a rear choke but Aries counters for a 2 count. Aries argues with the referee. Joe attacks from behind but misses. Joe catches Aries and slams him down hard. Joe puts Aries up top and chops him. Joe goes for the Muscle Buster again but Aries slides out and hits a big crucifix slam. Aries with a massive kick to the face and a discuss forearm. Aries with a dropkick in the corner and a big Brainbuster for the win.

Winner: Austin Aries

– Tenay and Taz hype tonight’s main event and the TNA Hall of Fame.

Kid Kash vs. Hernandez

We go to the ring and out comes Kid Kash. His opponent Hernandez is out next.

The bell rings and they go at it. Back and forth action until Hernandez shoves Kash out of the air and sends him to the floor. Hernandez goes to leap to the floor but Kash comes on the apron. Hernandez brings him back in and keeps control of the match. Hernandez tosses Kash across the ring. Kash gets a cheap shot in and takes control of the match.

Kash starts working on Hernandez’s arm. Kash with big chops to the chest now. Kash beats Hernandez down in the corner until Hernandez comes back with a chop of his own. More back and forth action. Kash takes Hernandez down with a hurricanrana. Kash with a big tornado swinging DDT next. Kash tries to knock Hernandez off the apron but Hernandez springboards in over the top and takes Kash out with a big shoulder. Hernandez comes back with a clothesline and shots to the chest now. Hernandez with a big splash in the corner and another big shove, sending Kash to the floor. Hernandez runs the ropes and leaps over, taking out Kash on the floor.

Hernandez brings it back in the ring but Kash slides out of the Border Toss. Kash with a big dropkick. Kash tries for a hurricanrana from the top but Hernandez shoves him off to the mat. Hernandez hits a big top rope splash for the win.

Winner: Hernandez

They air a TNA Slammiversary history video package.

Robbie E and Robbie T vs. Garett Bischoff and Devon

We go to the ring and out first comes the team of Robbie E and Robbie T. TNA Television Champion Devon is out next with his partner Garett Bischoff.

Robbie E starts things out with Bischoff and takes control. Bischoff turns it around and runs over Robbie with clotheslines. Bischoff with a scoop slam. Robbie E retreats and tags in Robbie T. Garett ducks a clothesline and fires away on T. T shakes it off and grabs him for a slam. Garett slides out and goes for a low dropkick. Garett gets tripped by Robbie E. E pulls him to the floor and works him over as the referee is distracted. We see Madison Rayne appear on the ramp. She’s got some kind of secret crush on someone. Robbie E gets the tag and continues the assault on Bischoff.

E and T continue beating up Bischoff and get some double team action in. Robbie T gets tagged back in and hits a big sideslam as E comes off the top with an elbow for a 2 count as Devon breaks the pin. Madison just smiles from the stage. Garett finally takes Robbie E down and looks to tag Devon in. Devon comes in and unloads on Robbie E. Devon knocks T off the apron and hits a big Thesz press on E. Devon drops a headbutt and another big slam. Garett stops T from making the save as Devon puts away E for the win.

Winners: Devon and Garett Bischoff

– Jeremy Borash is backstage with the TNA Tag Team Champions Kazarian and Daniels. They run their mouth and put themselves over.

Mr. Anderson vs. Jeff Hardy vs. Rob Van Dam

The winner of this one will get a TNA World Heavyweight Title shot on this coming Thursday’s Impact. Mr. Anderson is out first and after introducing himself, he heads to the ring. Rob Van Dam is out next to a big pop as is Jeff Hardy.

The match starts and Jeff Hardy fights off each man and looks to take control early on. Anderson takes RVD to the corner but Hardy whips Anderson into him and splashes them both. Hardy with a big dropkick in the corner and a quick pin attempt. Hardy takes Anderson down with a head scissors. Anderson comes right back with a neckbreaker for a 2 count. Anderson is countered by RVD and shoved back into the corner with shoulder thrusts. RVD goes to working on Hardy in the opposite corner now. RVD goes between Hardy and Anderson, keeping control of the match. Pin attempt on Hardy but his foot is under the rope. RVD goes for a flip on Anderson but gets slammed. 2 count for Anderson.

Anderson has Hardy up top for a superplex but RVD breaks it up. Anderson comes back and sends RVD to the floor. Anderson climbs back up and superplexes Hardy. RVD comes off the top with a frogsplash but both Hardy and Anderson move out of the way. All three men are down now. Anderson and RVD trade shots on their knees. Hardy gets involved and all three men fight from their knees. Anderson gets up first but RVD kicks him back to the mat. RVD takes Sting down with a scissors and pins him for 2. RVD with a big kick from the top rope but Hardy kicks out at 2. RVD comes out of the corner with another heel kick and takes Anderson out. RVD with a split legged moonsault from the corner on Anderson. Hardy breaks up the pin at 2.

RVD with another kick on Hardy. RVD monkey flips Anderson and gets another pin attempt. RVD drops Hardy with another thrust kick to the face. Anderson stops RVD with a kick to the gut and backslides him for 2. Hardy breaks it up with a leg drop and holds it for a pin attempt of his own. Hardy fights off Anderson but Anderson scoops him with the plunge and then clotheslines RVD to the floor. Anderson with a 2 count on Hardy. RVD yanks Anderson out to the floor and they brawl. Hardy leaps from the top rope and takes them both out on the floor. Hardy whips Anderson into the steel steps. They come back in and Hardy moonsaults onto RVD for a 2 count. Hardy misses a kick from RVD but RVD blocks a suplex. Hardy nails Twist of Fate out of nowhere and dropkicks Anderson back to the floor. Hardy goes up top and hits the Swanton but Anderson pulls the referee as he’s counting.

More back and forth. Hardy gets dumped outside. Anderson blocks Rolling Thunder from RVD and nails the Mic Check for the win and #1 contender spot.

Winner: Mr. Anderson

– JB is backstage with Crimson. Crimson says he will never be defeated and is ready for his open challenge.

Crimson vs. James Storm

Crimson comes out and wants an opponent. He rips the local sports team and gets heat from the crowd. The crowd chants for Goldberg as Crimson drops the mic and waits for his opponent. James Storm comes out making his return.

Storm hits the ring and clotheslines Crimson to the floor before even taking jacket off. Storm suplexes Crimson back in the ring and mounts him with right hands. Crimson comes back and chokes Storm with his jacket. Crimson takes Storm to the corner and works him over now. Storm comes back with a pair of clotheslines and a big right hand. Storm with an inverted atomic drop and knees to the face. Storms connects with Last Call for the win and the end of Crimson’s year-plus streak.

Winner: James Storm

– TNA President Dixie Carter comes out to a big pop and “thank you Dixie chants.” Dixie thanks the fans. She thanks the Jarretts, Spike TV and others. Dixie says they like the word wrestling. She says TNA has the greatest wrestlers in the world and asks them to come out to the stage. The entire TNA roster comes out.

Dixie thanks everyone again. She introduces the first inductee into TNA’s Hall of Fame and a video package plays for Sting. Sting is TNA’s first Hall of Fame inductee.

Sting walks down the ramp as his music plays and everyone applauds. Dixie hugs Sting and introduces him to the crowd as the fans chant “thank you Sting.” Dixie talks about how Sting has stepped up over the years to help TNA get where they are today. Dixie says Sting reinventing himself again and again is some of his finest work. Dixie says they will have the formal Hall of Fame induction ceremony at the Bound for Glory pay-per-view. Sting days he wasn’t prepared for this. He thanks Dixie, the TNA roster and starts a “thank you” chant for the fans. Sting says he has tried to entertain the fans since coming to TNA and tonight will be the same – showtime.

TNA Knockouts title Match: Miss Tessmacher vs. Gail Kim

Miss Tessmacher is first followed by the TNA Knockouts Champion Gail Kim. The bell rings and they go right at it. Lots of back and forth action to start the match. Gail ends up outside but fights her way back in. Tessmacher comes off the second rope with a clothesline and takes Gail down with a head scissors. Gail cuts Tessmacher off and drops her over the top rope.

Gail scoops Tessmacher for a shoulder breaker and a pin attempt. Gail goes back to work with a submission hold. Gail with a head scissors submission now. Gail keeps control and chokes Tessmacher with the bottom rope. Tessmacher comes back with a neckbreaker and they both go down. They trade shots in the middle of the ring now. Tessmacher with two clotheslines and a flying forearm. Tessmacher with a dropkick. Tessmacher goes for one of her finishers but botches it again. Gail laughs at her and hits a necktie neckbreaker. Tessmacher ends up on the apron and Gail knocks her out to the floor.

Gail brings it back in the ring but Tessmacher blocks Eat Defeat. Gail taunts her and smacks her. Tessmacher counters a move and rolls Gail up out of nowhere for the win and the title in her home state.

Winner and New TNA Knockouts Champion: Miss Tessmacher

– Christy Hemme is at ringside to congratulate Tessmacher. She asks her how it feels to win in Texas. Tessmacher says she never thought she could be here. She says she’s overcome so many obstacles and stereotypes. She says there’s only one word to describe it and that’s epic. She says God bless Texas and celebrates with the fans.

– JB is backstage talking about Sting and the Hall of Fame when Bully Ray walks up. He’s ready to beat up Joseph Park and has a contract to make sure he’s covered when he rips Park apart. It’s anything goes. Ray mentions Abyss but warns him about showing up. We go to a promo video for the match.

Anything Goes Match: Joseph Park vs. Bully Ray

We go to the ring and out first comes Bully Ray. Out next comes Joseph Park, the brother of Abyss, wearing a warm-up suit. Park is nervous as he hesitates to enter the ring. The crowd cheer for the Rangers and chant “Yankees suck” to Bully Ray.

The bell rings and Ray starts running his mouth. Ray wants Park to take the first shot. He does and Ray avoids it. Ray taunts Park. Ray smacks Park in the mouth. Park swings away and Ray avoids the wild shots. Ray taps Park again. Ray puts his hands behind his back and taunts Park again. Ray smacks him again and spits in Park’s face. Another smack and more taunting from Ray. Another smack. Ray calls Park a coward. Ray charges in the corner and Park moves. Park slaps Ray and the crowd pops. Ray drops Park with a clothesline from the corner.

Ray kicks Park and works him over in the corner. The crowd chants “New York sucks” at Ray. Ray brings a steel chair in the ring. Park kicks the bottom rope as Ray is coming in and he goes down. Park grabs the steel chair and fumbles it around. Park turns his back and Ray clotheslines him with the chair in-hand. Ray grabs the chair and smacks Park in the back with it. Another big shot from Ray as they go to the floor. Ray slams Park into the announcer table at ringside and cracks him in the head with a bottle of water. Ray with right hands before bringing it back in the ring. Ray goes to the second rope for a splash but Park moves out of the way.

Park gets pumped up and unloads with lefts and rights on Ray. Park runs into Ray and he goes down. Park turns back around and Ray runs him over with a big boot to the face. Ray brings a table in from under the ring. The crowd chants ECW as Ray sets up the table in the ring and grabs a kendo stick. He swings the stick but Park hits him low with a punch. Park hits Ray with the kendo stick and lays him out. Park covers for a close 2 count. Park goes to the floor and is down as Ray gets up looking around for him. Someone dressed like Abyss comes from under the ring and enters behind Ray. Ray turns around and is face to face with Abyss. Abyss chokeslams Ray through the table. Park stumbles to his feet outside the ring, sees Ray down and covers him for the win.

Winner: Joseph Park

– JB is backstage with Bobby Roode. Roode says everyone is celebrating something tonight but the only thing to be celebrated is him because without him, there would be no TNA. Roode congratulates Sting on his induction but says nobody will remember anything except when his career is ended tonight.

– We go back to the ring and out comes Hulk Hogan again.

Hogan speaks from the stage and tells everyone to give it up for Joseph Park and Slammiversary. Hogan says he has one more surprise and introduces current WWE Intercontinental Champion Christian. Hogan introduces him as Christian Cage. Christian comes out to a big pop from the crowd and heads to the ring.

Christian enters the ring to a “welcome back” chant. “You sold out” chants start up next. Christian says everyone has been asking him all week if it was true that he was appearing at Slammiversary. A “yes” chant breaks out from the crowd. Christian points out that there’s no longer a six-sided ring. He says the ring may have changed, the venues might change and some of the faces may have changed but the one thing that hasn’t changed is the fans. Christian says the fans have allowed TNA to be in existence for 10 yeas and beyond. TNA tells the fans to stand up and give themselves an applause, even the fans at home. Christian presents the #1 moment in TNA history and shows us video from Slammiversary when Sting returned in 2006. The video abruptly ends and that’s it. No more Christian, no live shot from the arena. We go right to a video package for tonight’s tag team title match.

TNA Tag Team Title Match: Kurt Angle and AJ Styles vs. Kazarian and Daniels

The TNA Tag Team Champions Kazarian and Daniels are out first. Kurt Angle is out first for his team followed by AJ Styles. AJ rushes the ring and here we go. Things settle down a bit and it’s AJ going at it with Kazarian. AJ knocks Kaz back with a big kick to the head and follows up with a dropkick. AJ with a dropkick on Daniels as he tries to come in. AJ fights Kaz on the floor and slides under the guardrail. AJ springboards back off the guardrail and takes out Kaz with a flying forearm. Daniels gets laid out by Angle with a clothesline on the other side of the ring. AJ brings it back in the ring for a scoop slam and a big knee drop.

Angle comes in for a bit of double teaming for a pin attempts. Kaz turns it around on Angle and backs him in the corner, tagging in Daniels. Daniels with a kick to the mouth. Angle backdrops Daniels and tags in AJ. AJ works Daniels over and drops him with a backbreaker. AJ goes for the Styles Clash but it’s blocked. Kazarian is tagged in and they turn things around on AJ in the corner. Kaz talks trash and beats AJ down. Kaz runs into a big boot and AJ goes to the top. He fights Daniels off but Kaz kicks him. AJ ends upside down, hung from the ring post. Kaz kicks him and bends his knee. AJ ends up on the floor and Daniels brings him back in. More quick tags and double teaming by the champions now. Daniels stomps on AJ from the top and makes another tag for another pin attempt.

More tags and a double team powerbomb for a 2 count as Angle runs in to break it up. The champs continue to keep control of AJ. AJ counters a suplex and connects with a neckbreaker. Daniels and Angle come in at the same time. Angle unloads and hits a big overhead suplex. Angle hits a German suplex on Kaz and then a German on Daniels. Angle hits the Angle Slam on Daniels but Kaz breaks the pin up. Angle with three Germans on Kaz now. The third one has Daniels attached and Angle slams them both. Angle with the ankle lock on Daniels. Kazarian breaks the hold with a big kick to the head and Angle goes down.

Angle blocks the double underhook from Daniels. AJ springboards in for some assistance. Angle goes back down and the champs try to double team AJ. AJ catches them both with a DDT at the same time – one reverse and one standard. AJ misses a splash in the corner and gets kicked in the face by Kaz. Angle with a t-bone suplex on Daniels. Kaz slingshots in and takes Angle out. AJ drops Kaz on his face and covers for a close 2 count. The crowd chants “this is awesome” now. AJ fights Kaz in the corner and takes him up top. AJ climbs up for a superplex but Kaz pushes him off. Angle runs up and tosses Kaz from the top to the mat. Angle turns around to a takedown from Daniels. AJ and Daniels trade shots now. AJ drops Daniels to one knee with headbutts. Daniels counters a clothesline and slams him to the mat. Daniels misses the Best Moonsault Ever and Angle catches him with a German. AJ drops Kaz with a pele kick. Angle tags in and hits a top rope splash on Kaz. Angle covers for the win but Daniels pulls the referee. AJ springboards to the floor and takes out Daniels with a huge flip. Angle counters Fade to Black and locks in the ankle lock. Angle drops down with it as Kaz reaches for the ropes. Kaz can’t make it and taps out for the win.

TNA World Heavyweight Title Match: Sting vs. Bobby Roode

We go to the ring and out first comes the firs-ever TNA Hall of Famer Sting. Out next is the TNA World Heavyweight Champion Bobby Roode. We get formal ring introductions from Jeremy Borash.

Roode stalls to start and takes his time on the outside taking his robe off. Roode finally enters the ring and gives the referee the title belt. Sting is ready to go but Roode keeps ducking back to the apron and stalling. Finally we get the bell but Roode goes back to the floor. Roode comes back in but scrambles right back to the floor as the crowd boos. They finally go at it and Roode stomps on Sting on the mat. Rode with chops. Sting kicks him in the head and goes for the Scorpion early but Roode scrambles back to the floor. Sting follows him and slams him into the barrier.

Sting works Roode over on the floor before they come back in the ring. Sting with right hands and a big hip toss. He goes for the Scorpion again but Roode goes to the floor again. Roode walks towards the ramp but Sting catches up to him. Sting brings the fight back to ringside and slams Roode’s head into the steel steps. Roode finally takes control by dropping Sting’s neck over the top rope. Roode with chops and more offense on Sting. Roode takes his time and shows off for the crowd. Sting tries to come back but Roode connects with a big boot and a pin attempt. Roode with a sleeper hold now. It’s broken and Roode goes to the top. Sting cuts him off and climbs up for a superplex. Sting nails it and goes for the Scorpion. Sting locks it in as Roode tries to make it to the ropes.

The hold is finally broken and Roode goes to the floor towards the ramp. Sting stops him and fights him back towards the ring. Sting beats Roode around the ring and the crowd chants “you still got it.” Sting with a big Stinger Splash on the outside. Sting goes for the Scorpion on top of the announcers table. Sting locks it in and Roode taps out but it’s outside the ring so it doesn’t count. There’s a six pack of beers left over from James Storm. Roode grabs it as Sting throws him in the ring. Hebner takes the first beer but Roode cracks Sting in the head with another bottle as Hebner isn’t looking. Roode covers Sting for the win.

Winner: Bobby Roode

– Sting is busted open as Roode’s music hits. Roode turns around and Sting knocks him out of the ring. Sting turns and knocks the referee out also. Sting takes Roode to the top of the stage and suplexes him onto the ramp. Sting takes Roode back to the stage and whips him into the steel structure of the set. Sting suplexes Roode from the stage down onto the floor. The crowd chants “holy shit” as Sting gets to his feet. Sting’s music hits as he heads back to the ring and Roode is still laid out by the stage. Slammiversary goes off the air.
