1997 – The Monday Night War continued: WCW Monday Nitro defeated WWF Monday Night Raw: 4.4 to 2.6 in the ratings

2011 – The Amazing Red announced he had left TNA, citing that creative had nothing for him on his Twitter


In 1996, WCW Kollision in Korea (Collision in Korea on the VHS release) aired on PPV. The event was taped over 2 days (the 28th &  29th April 1995) at May Day Stadium, in Pyongyang, North Korea. It was a joint promotion between WCW & NJPW and was the 1st major appearance of an American wrestling promotion in the country. It also set the as yet unbeaten record for the largest attendance at a wrestling event, with 340,000 people attending over the 2 days:

2002 – Bradshaw defeated Tommy Dreamer to win the WWE Hardcore Title, but would lose it back to Dreamer before the end of the night

2008 – on Raw, Batista & John Cena defeated The Legacy (Cody Rhodes & Ted DiBiase Jr) to win the World Tag Team Titles
