2007 – World Wrestling Entertainment’s Vince McMahon was among the names announced as being honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2008, The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce Walk of Fame Committee announced.

McMahon will receive a special ceremony and a permanent star on the Walk of Fame, which runs three and a half miles down the sidewalk of Hollywood Boulevard. The ceremony would take place in March 2008. I was present for the presentation

2001 – The 1st season of WWF Tough Enough began on MTV. The series would eventually be won by Maven & Nidia, but also featured Chris Nowinski & Josh Matthews

In 1993, WWE broadcast Monday Night Raw from Mid-Hudson Civic Center, in Poughkeepsie, New York:

– The Steiner Brothers (Rick & Scott) defeated Reno Riggins & Barry Hardy
– Marty Jannetty defeated Doink The Clown (Matt Borne) in a 2 out of 3 Falls Match
– Mr. Hughes defeated Bobby Who
– Razor Ramon vs. The 1-2-3 Kid ended in a double countout (Ramon had offered Kid $10,000 for a rematch, mid way thru the match, Kid grabbed the money, & ran out of the building to an awaiting car)

In 2009, TNA Slammiversary at The Palace of Auburn Hills, in Auburn Hills, Michigan. With an attendance of 4,000. This marked the approximate 7th anniversary of TNA Wrestling:

– The British Invasion (Brutus Magnus & Douglas Williams) (with Rob Terry) defeated Rhino & Eric Young
PPV:
– Suicide defeated Jay Lethal, Consequences Creed, Chris Sabin & Alex Shelley in a King of the Mountain Match to retain the TNA X-Division Title
– Daniels defeated Shane Douglas to retain his place in TNA. Had Daniels lost, Douglas would have taken his spot in the company
– Angelina Love (with Madison Rayne & Velvet Sky) defeated Tara to retain the TNA Knockouts Title
– Abyss & Taylor Wilde defeated Raven & Daffney (with Dr. Stevie) in a Monster’s Ball mixed tag team match
– Sting defeated Matt Morgan (if Morgan had won, he would’ve got to join The Main Event Mafia)
– Beer Money Inc (James Storm & Robert Roode) defeated Team 3D (Brother Ray & Brother Devon) to win the TNA Tag Team Titles
– Kurt Angle defeated Mick Foley, Jeff Jarrett, AJ Styles, & Samoa Joe in a King of the Mountain Match to win the TNA World Title

1963 – Pepper Gomez defeated Bill Watts to win the NWA Texas Heavyweight Title in Houston, Texas

1978 – The Mongolian Stomper won an elimination tag team match to win the vacant NWA Southeastern Heavyweight Title in Knoxville, Tennessee

1981 – Dusty Rhodes defeated Harley Race to win the NWA World Title

1982 – Junkyard Dog defeated Bob Roop to win the MSW North American Title

1984 – Steve Grey defeated Danny Collins for the British Welterweight Title in Malvern, England

1984 – The Uptown Boys (Marty Jannetty & Tommy Rogers) defeated The Grapplers (Len Denton & Tony Anthony) to win the NWA Central States Tag Team Title in Kansas City, Kansas. At the same show, Ted Oates defeated Luke Graham to win the NWA Central States Heavyweight Title

1985 – Sgt. Slaughter defeated Larry Zbyszko to win the AWA America’s Heavyweight Title in Chicago, Illinois

1987 – Al Perez defeated The Dingo Warrior to win the WCCW Texas Heavyweight Title

1992 – Punish (Keiti Takayami) & Crush (Shoji Akiyoshi) defeated Scorpio, Jr. & Shu El Guerrero to win Michinoku Pro Wrestling’s UWA/UWF Intercontinental Tag Team Title in Tokyo, Japan

1993 – Owen Hart defeated Papa Shango to win the USWA Unified World Heavyweight Title. On the same show, New Jack & Homeboy defeated Rex King & Steve Doll for the USWA Tag Team Title in Memphis, Tennessee

1999 – on Raw, Mideon found the WWF European Title in Shane McMahon’s bag. The title is reactivated and he is declared champion

2000 – The Samoans (Eddie Fatu (WWE’s Umaga) & Matty Samu (WWE’s Rosey) defeated Hideki Hosaka & Yoshinori Sasaki to win the FMW/WEW Hardcore Tag Team Title in Tokyo, Japan

2001 – Michael Modest defeated Bruce Hart to win the Stampede North American Heavyweight Title in Lethbridge, Alberta. Modest’s All Pro Wrestling Universal Heavyweight Title was also on the line

2003 – Headshrinker Samu & John Rambo defeated Leslie Leatherman & Flex Fenom to win the National Wrestling League Tag Team Title in Martinsburg, West Virginia
