Former WWE trainer Tom Prichard noted in a guest column for Fighting Spirit Magazine that Dean Ambrose was hard to read unless you’ve been around people with his personality type.

“Perhaps because of that, he’s been misunderstood backstage – or at least he was when I was in WWE. He’s trying to keep that mystery about him, and be different – breaking the mold, so to speak. Ambrose has a unique style and presence, and he reminds me a lot of Johnny Valentine. William Regal was one of the first to recognize how smart he was, and that stamp of approval is good enough for me”.
