Ciampa on his current in ring work:
You may get pre match jitters, but once that bell rings you are going to work. I feel very confident in my abilities right now I feel like right now specifically that I’ve ever been in such a groove and it is like everything is moving in slow motion for me out there.

Influences in Pro Wrestling:
I think a lot of what I do, it comes subconsciously. What I loved as a fan growing up were guys like Shawn Michaels, Bret Hart and Macho Man Randy Savage; these colorful guys who would mix in some flying to their arsenal and were super charismatic, the style that I loved growing up is a lot different then what I do in the ring. I just found out early in my career, it’s just not me. It’s forced, it’s not my comfort zone. When I got a handle on who I am as a performer it was guys like William Regal or dare I say Chris Benoit, in ring technicians who are more in your face.

Training at Killer Kowalski’s School alongside Ring of Honor’s, “War-Beard” Hanson:
We would get to class early every day, training Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday. We’d get there early and eventually they just gave us a key. We get in the ring and just roll around and chain wrestle for 1-2 hours and we got to know each other super well inside the ring. He was like a brother to me. Eventually though we parted ways I went to WWE for a little bit and he stayed in Chaotic. I had a knee surgery and then he had surgery on his shoulder that kept him out for almost a year. Bumping into him in Ring of Honor it’s like getting back with your old best friend.
