As PWMania.com previously reported, Triple H underwent an MRI on his wrist to check if he had suffered a scaphoid fracture in his wrist, which would have put him out of action for two months.
Since then WWE has published an article noting that Triple H suffered a carpal sprain and contusion to his left wrist, which is less serious than a scaphoid fracture. Triple H will have to wear a splint according to their story.
WWE’s article plays up whether Triple H will accept Brock Lesnar’s challenge for Extreme Rules pay-per-view event next month with his injury, and Hunter provided no comment when asked. WWE physician Michael Sampson noted that Triple H will be able to train with the splint on, but will be “cutting it close coming into Extreme Rules, as far as being ready.”
Current plans call for the Triple H – Brock Lesnar steel cage match to headline the pay-per-view on May 19th.
