Triple H Provides Update On His Recovery From Surgery

Triple H recently underwent surgery to repair a torn right pectoral muscle on after the operation was done by Dr. Jeffrey Dugas at Andrews Sports Medicine & Orthopaedic Center in Birmingham, Alabama. It’s believed he will be out anywhere from 5-9 months. Triple H suffered the injury at WWE Crown Jewel pay-per-view event where he and Shawn Michaels beat Kane and The Undertaker.

Triple H took part in a media conference call on Wednesday to promote this Saturday’s WWE NXT TakeOver: WarGames event in Los Angeles, California at the Staples Center on the WWE Network. During the call, he commented on the surgery (H/T to Sporting News).

“I had surgery a week ago yesterday (Tuesday, November 6). Everything is feeling good. In an immobilizer and on the road to recovery. It’s just rehab, rehab, rehab and I will be back but that does not stop this machine from rolling on and its business as usual. I will be headed to L.A. (Thursday) to begin preparations for what is a very exciting NXT TakeOver.

You can make an argument that everything on this card could be the main event whether it’s War Games, whether it’s the NXT Championship match between Velveteen Dream and Tommaso Ciampa. Velveteen Dream – it’s hard to put a statement around how good he is at his age. Tommaso Ciampa is coming into his own in the last year and probably one of the best heels in the business in my opinion. You get down to Aleister Black and Johnny Gargano, which is epic storytelling to me. We had to roll with some punches on some things and an injury and getting into the whodunit. I’m really happy with how that story played out.”
