Update On Edge Retirement Report, SmackDown Star Turns 40

WWE SmackDown garnered a 8.7 rating in Mexico, topping programming from AAA (4.5) and CMLL (2.6).

– Today is Chavo Guerrero’s birthday, who turns 40 years old.

– The report of Edge retiring contemplating retiring in two years is actually old news as he said during an interview with the Asheville Citizen-Times in June that his wrestling career was coming to an end.

“That’s part of the reason I bought up here,” said Edge regarding a home in North Carolina. “We want to retire and listen to the wind in the trees, and we want to do it fairly soon. I may have two more years. With each injury, it’s harder and harder to come back.”
