What Happened After SmackDown, Mick Foley Talks WrestleMania, JR On Potential Champs

– The dark main event after Tuesday night’s WWE SmackDown tapings in Toledo saw Daniel Bryan defeat Bray Wyatt by DQ when Erick Rowan and Luke Harper made the save. Sheamus and Rey Mysterio made the save to end the show.

– Mick Foley says some of the excitement around WrestleMania is returning after he was unhappy with things following the Royal Rumble on Sunday. Foley tweeted:

– Jim Ross has updated the Q&A section on JRsBarBQ.com and was asked which Superstar has the potential to be champion but still hasn’t won a title. Ross replied:

“Anyone of several talents that are young including Roman Reigns. WWE is seemingly working diligently to facilitate young talents to get over to the next level. It’s an exhausting process and many talents never make it.”

Well Mick is the only guy who no-showed Raw after Montreal, so it’s refreshing to see wisdom doesn’t always come with age. The way I see his nonsense the last few days is either he’s as big a mark as the guys seen crying on Youtube following the Rumble or he’s a desperate has been trying to attach himself to the Daniel Bryan train…or and I hope this is the case, he’s doing what WWE is telling him to do to use his credibility to further the angle and has no intention of being involved in any way.

I think the last of your suggestions is probably accurate. I firmly believe that Foley’s antics are all part of the work. Publicly criticizing WWE has never been a good business move (ask Ziggler), and I just can’t believe that Mick, who is still under contract for a couple of more months, would take that route.
