Why WWE Added Last Minute Battleground Tag Match, Plans For CM Punk, Bruno Sammartino

- WWE added Santino Marella and The Great Khali vs The Real Americans to tonight’s Battleground PPV due to timing issues. Reportedly, when the show was being laid out, WWE realized they had “too much time left” in the show, so the last minute tag match was added.

- No matter who wins tonight’s match between CM Punk and Ryback at Battleground, the feud between Punk and Paul Heyman is expected to continue beyond tonight’s PPV. Also, despite CM Punk dealing with several minor injuries at the moment, his match against Ryback tonight is expected to be given a good amount of time.

- WWE Hall Of Famer Bruno Sammartino is celebrating his 78th birthday today. Triple H posted the following birthday wishes to Sammartino on his Twitter account:
