The opening match tonight will see Brian Kendrick face Drew Gulak. Gulak vowed to make Brian Kendrick tap out. We will take a look at the Cruiserweight Title Match between Cedric Alexander and Buddy Murphy. Drake will get comments from Buddy Murphy. Kalisto and Lince Dorado will face Mike Kanellis and TJP in a Tornado Tag Match.

We are in Austin, Texas and your announcers are Vic Joseph, Nigel McGuinness, and Percy Watson.

Match Number One: Drew Gulak (with Jack Gallagher) versus Brian Kendrick (with Akira Tozawa)

They try to jockey for the early advantage and Kendrick with a front face lock. Kendrick with a break. Gulak with a front face lock and take down. They have a test of strength and Kendrick with a wrist lock. Gulak escapes and they both return to their feet. They lock up and Gulak with a break but he misses a punch. Kendrick misses a punch but Gulak hits a clothesline and he gets a near fall. Gulak with a single leg crab into a leg submission but Kendrick gets to the ropes to force a break. Gulak with a knee to the midsection. Gulak with a dragon screw and Gulak gets a near fall.

Kendrick with a punch and forearm. Kendrick with a full nelson but Gulak escapes. Kendrick with a Tiger suplex for a near fall. Kendrick with a boot to the head and more kicks. Gulak with a power bomb for a near fall and then Gulak with a single leg crab. Gulak with an Achilles Lock but Kendrick escapes the hold. Gulak with a head butt to the midsection and follows with punches. Gulak with a side head lock. Kendrick with a leg lariat but Gulak returns to the knee bar and he tries to keep Kendrick from making it to the ropes.

Kendrick is able to get to the ropes and forces Gulak to release the hold. Gulak with a slam and leaping elbow drop for a near fall. Gulak with a front face lock. Kendrick gets to his feet and Gulak with a side head lock. Kendrick with forearms but Gulak with punches. Kendrick sends Gulak to the mat with a forearm and he gets a near fall. Kendrick with the Captain’s Hook and Gulak tries to get to the ropes and he finally gets there. Kendrick with a Dragon suplex for a near fall. Kendrick with a side head lock but Gulak with a waist lock. Kendrick sends Gulak to the floor. They return to the ring and Gallagher sends Tozawa into the ring post.

Gulak gets a near fall. Kendrick with Sliced Bread #2 and Gallagher breaks up the cover and the referee calls for the bell.

Winner: Brian Kendrick (by disqualification)

After the match, Gallagher with punches but Kendrick punches Gallagher. Gulak applies the GuLock. Tozawa is stopped by Gallagher with a series of knees. Gallagher with a head butt to Tozawa as Kendrick passes out in the GuLock.

We take a look at Cedric Alexander and Mustafa Ali defeating Buddy Murphy and Tony Nese last week.

Drake Maverick is with Buddy Murphy and he mentions the rise of Buddy in 2018. He mentions that Buddy is one of the most polarizing people on 205 Live. You made yourself some enemies, including Cedric Alexander. The match will be nothing like their previous matches. There will be no home field advantage.

Buddy says he is glad that he is facing Cedric. It took two men to beat him last week. Mustafa Ali is his tougher opponent. If you want to prove to everyone how good you are, let’s do it next week. Leave your friend behind. Buddy says he will let Drake decide their opponents. Buddy asks if that was too polarizing.

Match Number Two: Ariya Daivari versus Clay Roberts

Daivari backs Roberts into the corner and then he punches and kicks Roberts. Roberts with an Irish whip but Roberts misses a splash into the corner. Daivari with a kick to Roberts. We see Hideo Itami watching on the monitor in the back. Daivari with slaps to Roberts followed by a hammer lock clothesline and Daivari pulls Roberts up at two. Daivari with a second hammer lock clothesline and he picks Roberts up again at two. Daivari with three more clotheslines and Roberts falls to the mat before Daivari can hit another clothesline. The referee calls for the bell.

Winner: Ariya Daivari (by referee stoppage)

Mustafa Ali says we all fall. The hard part is getting back up. At Survivor Series, he took that fall. Now he gets back up. Last week was a good first step. Ali says he is proud that his boy Cedric is getting what he deserves. Ali says when it is his turn again, whether it is friend or foe, you better be ready to fight for your life because he will be.

Cedric Alexander is in the interview area. He is asked about his reaction to Buddy Murphy’s comments. Cedric says it strikes a nerve when Buddy says that Ali is better. Cedric says that he will not let Ali take his spotlight. Cedric laughs and says he is not going to let Buddy flip the page. Cedric accepts the challenge and will take out whoever is put in front of him.

We go to commercial.

We are back and Noam Dar says he needs to be taken seriously now. Buddy Murphy cost him a chance against Tony Nese. Noam challenges Buddy to face him in the ring to see why he is the star player of 205 Live.

Match Number Three: Kalisto and Lince Dorado versus Mike Kanellis and TJP (with Maria Kanellis) in a Tornado Tag Match

Dorado and Kalisto go after TJP and Kanellis as the bell rings. They send TJP to the floor and then Dorado slams Kanellis and Kalisto with a splash off Dorado’s shoulders followed by a splash from Dorado. Dorado and Kalisto with a double super kick to TJP and Kalisto with an assisted drop kick. Dorado with a cross body off the ring post onto Kanellis and TJP. Dorado sends Kanellis into the ringside barrier. Kalisto with a slingshot tornado DDT on TJP for a near fall. Dorado is given a spinebuster on the floor by Kanellis. Kalisto kicks Kanellis. Maria takes one of the pinatas and TJP drop kicks Kalisto to the floor.

Maria stomps on the pinata as Kanellis sends Kalisto into the ringside barrier. TJP sends Dorado into the turnbuckles and then Kanellis stomps on the pinata in the ring and TJP kicks it. TJP and Kanellis with a double clothesline to Dorado and TJP punches Dorado. Kanellis punches Dorado. TJP gets a near fall. TJP and Kanellis with a double Irishwhip and TJP with a clothesline into the corner. TJP rolls through and Kanellis with an elbow drop. TJP rakes his boot across the face and then Kalisto with an elbow to Kanellis on the floor. Kanellis drops Kalisto on the ringside barrier. Kanellis kicks Dorado in the ring.

Kanellis with a knee but Dorado with a handspring double cutter. Kalisto gets to the apron and hits a springboard cross body on TJP followed by a springboard spinning shoulder tackle. Kalisto with a Listo Kick but TJP blocks the spike rana and TJP with an STF into a Regal Lock. Kanellis and Dorado are down outside the ring after a side Russian leg sweep off the apron by Kanellis. Kalisto kicks TJP to get out of the hold. TJP gets a near fall.

TJP with a boot to the head. TJP slams Kalisto and TJP with a slingshot senton for a near fall. TJP kicks Kalisto in the corner and TJP with an Irish whip but he runs into a boot. TJP with a drop kick to the knee and Kalisto goes down. TJP with a knee bar and he grapevines the leg. Kalisto gets to the ropes to force TJP to release the hold. TJP with a spinning knee drop to the injured leg. Kanellis is kicked by Kalisto and Kalisto with an enzuigiri to TJP on the turnbuckles. Kalisto with a super kick to Kanellis and then Kalisto with a kick to TJP. Kalisto with a Frankensteiner into Kanellis. Dorado with a double cross body and head scissors to Kanellis. Dorado with a chop to Kanellis followed by a spinning heel kick.

Dorado with a forearm to Kanellis and then Dorado with a thrust kick. Dorado with a series of moonsaults onto Kanellis. Dorado gets a near fall. Dorado with an uppercut while Kalisto holds his knee. Dorado and Kalisto push each other and Dorado tells Kalisto to get the presents. We see a series of mini pinatas and TJP goes for a suplex onto the pinatas. Dorado blocks it Dorado sends TJP into the turnbuckles and then Dorado sets for a superplex and Kalisto joins in for a double superplex. Kanellis stops Kalisto and Kanellis gets Dorado on his shoulders. Kalisto sends Kanellis to the floor.

Dorado and Kalisto with a double superplex onto the pinatas and Kanellis breaks up the cover. Kanellis sends Dorado to the floor. Kalisto sends Kanellis to the floor. TJP with a power bomb for a near fall. TJP tells Kanellis to get the pinata. Kalisto kicks TJP and Maria takes the pinata for a moment. Kalisto tosses the pinata to Maria and Kalisto with an assisted Salida Del Sol on TJP and Dorado goes up top and hits a Shooting Star Press for the three count.

Winners: LInce Dorado and Kalisto

We are told that Noam Dar will face Buddy Murphy next week. Cedric Alexander will face Tony Nese.

Tony Nese says the last time he faced Cedric Alexander, not only did he beat Cedric, he broke him. Tony says he knows Cedric more than anyone on 205 Live. The match between Buddy and Cedric will not happen because Cedrick will not recover from their match next week.
