It was expected that WWE would be doubling or possibly tripling their previous rights fees in the new deal with NBCUniversal but that doesn’t appear to be the case. In another press release issued this evening, WWE noted that their new TV deals in the US, UK and Thailand will increase to “approximately $200 million.” This indicates that they did not double the fees.
