WWE Main Event Results – February 12, 2014
The show opens with the entrance of Sin Cara. Byron Saxton joins Tom Phillips at the announce table for this episode of WWE Main Event.
Sin Cara and Los Matadores w/ El Torito vs. The Wyatt Family
Erick Rowan starts the match with Diego. Diego takes control of the match quickly and tags in Fernando. Fernando is caught in a cross body by Rowan who hits the fallaway slam. Rowan tags in Luke Harper who gets some offense in and then immediately tags in Bray Wyatt. Bray tags Rowan back in quickly and puts Fernando in a face lock. Rowan tags in Harper. Fernando tries to fight Harper off but is unsuccessful. Wyatt is tagged in and begins to beat down Fernando. Another quick tag to Harper as the Wyatt’s continue to utilize teamwork in the match. Fernando fights back and tags in Sin Cara. Sin Cara executes a series of quick moves on Harper but is dropped with a big boot from Harper. Harper tags in Bray and we go to commercial break.
Back from commercial as Bray Wyatt is in control of Sin Cara. Bray tags in Harper who pulls Sin Cara out of the ring to beat him down. Bray is tagged back in and puts Sin Cara in a hold. Sin Cara fights back but is shoulder tackled by Wyatt. Bray tags Harper in and goes to the Gator Roll on Sin Cara. Sin Cara is thrown to the corner, but hits a Tornado DDT on Harper. Sin Cara tags in Diego and Harper tags in Rowan. Diego hits a series of moves on Rowan and goes for a pin. Harper breaks it up. El Torito dives on Harper from out of the ring but is caught. Fernando then hits a top rope move on Harper from of the ring. The action picks up until Bray Wyatt levels Sin Cara in the ring. Wyatt hits Sister Abigail on Sin Cara for the three-count.
Winners: The Wyatt Family by pinfall, via Sister Abigail
Tom Phillips and Byron Saxton introduce the latest WWE Hall of Fame inductee, Lita. A video package is aired for her induction.
Phillips introduces an interview Michael Cole conducted with Triple H. Triple H announces that the 2014 Hall of Fame Ceremony will be aired on the WWE Network the night before Wrestlemania XXX. Natalya music hits and she heads to the ring for her match. We go to commercial.
We return from commercial as Aksana makes her entrance accompanied to the stage by Alicia Fox. Fox remains on the stage as Aksana heads to the ring.
Natalya vs. Aksana
The match begins and Natalya takes Aksana down with a headlock takeover. Natalya takes control and goes for the Sharpshooter, but Aksana gets to the ropes. Aksana takes down Natalya and goes for a pin, but gets a two-count. Aksana keeps control of Natalya and goes to an arm submission. Natalya tries to reverse out of an irish whip but gets a knee to the stomach from Aksana. Another two-count. Aksana goes to a chin lock on Natalya. Natalya reverses the chin lock and hits the ropes. Both collide while attempting cross body blocks and hit the mat. They return to their feet and Natalya slaps Aksana and then delivers a series of moves to take control. Aksana then reverses Natalya in the corner and drives her head into the mat. Aksana takes control. Natalya reverses Aksana but is rolled up into a pin for a two-count. Natalya catches Aksana with a big clothesline and gets a two-count. Aksana hits a spine buster but also gets a two-count. Aksana goes for an unorthodox kick on Natalya while she is sitting, but Natalya catches her leg. Natalya rolls over and puts Aksana into the Sharpshooter. Aksana taps out.
Winner: Natalya by submission, via the Sharpshooter
We go to commercial.
The Raw Rebound is shown featuring guest host Betty White’s and her interactions with the Divas and the New Age Outlaws from last Monday. Big E. makes his entrance. He is introduced as just, “Big E.,” without the Langston. We go to commercial.
We come back from commercial and an 8-man tag match featuring Goldust, Cody Rhodes, and The Usos vs. Ryback, Curtis Axel, and the New Age Outlaws on this Friday’s SmackDown. Drew McIntyre makes his way to the ring accompanied by Jinder Mahal.
Big E. vs. Drew McIntyre w/ Jinder Mahal
The match begins with a lockup and break. Big E. slams McIntyre. Big E. catches a boot from McIntyre and throws him over the top rope, out of the ring. McIntyre gets onto the apron and is grabbed and thrown over the top rope, back into the ring. McIntyre regains control but runs into a shoulder block from Big E. McIntyre baits Big E. into the corner and pulls him into the middle turnbuckle. McIntyre beats down Big E. in the corner, but is thrown into the corner and hit with some body blows. Big E. irish whips McIntyre to one corner for a spear, then back to the other corner for another spear. McIntyre stumbles out of the corner and is hit with a back drop. McIntyre rolls out to the apron. Big E. tries to hit McIntyre on the apron but reverses with a kick through the ropes. He then hits a clothesline off the top rope on Big E and goes for the pin, but only gets a two-count. We go to commercial.
Back from commercial where McIntyre has Big E. grounded in an arm lock. Big E. reverses but runs into the turnbuckle. McIntyre hits hit from behind and goes for a pin, but gets a two count. McIntyre keeps the offense up on Big E and then again goes to an arm lock. Big E., with McIntyre on his back, runs him into the turnbuckle. Big E. hits the ropes and is then caught with a clothesline from McIntyre. Big E fights back and dumps McIntyre onto the top rope, gut first. Big E. then hits two clotheslines followed by a belly to belly slam. Big E. then hits the big splash on McIntyre. McIntyre tries to escape and ends up hitting a big boot on Big E. for a pin, but gets a two-count. McIntyre taunts Big E. as he gets up. McIntyre hits the ropes but is caught by Big E., who hits the Big Ending for the three-count.
Winner: Big E. by pinfall, via the Big Ending
After the match, Jinder Mahal gets on the microphone and says that when you mess with one member of the band, you mess with them all. He calls for a match with Big E., right now.
Big E. vs. Jinder Mahal
The bell is rung and Mahal attacks Big E. Mahal misses a clothesline and is planted by Big E. Quickly, Big E. hits the Big Ending for the three-count.
Winner: Big E. by pinfall, via the Big Ending
The show goes off the air as Big E. celebrates in the ring with the Intercontinental Championship.
