WWE Main Event Results – May 20th, 2014

The show starts with Paul Heyman in the ring. He says the name of this program is called Main Event but it should be called Paul Heyman’s Main Event because his clients are the main event. He then brags about Brock Lesnar breaking the streak, and then says that Cesaro is the next Raw main event, as well as the next Wrestlemania main event. Cesaro then comes out. Paul Heyman says that Cesaro is the greatest European athlete ever, but he was smart for getting out of here as fast as possible. He then says tonight when he defeats Mark Henry, he will then be known as the strongest man in the WWE. Out comes Mark Henry. Heyman says he wasn’t done speaking, and then Henry says hes done when he says hes done. Henry says that there is only one worlds strongest man, and then Heyman says there is nothing wrong with being number 2. He then says there is a problem if Cesaro is number 2, because he is always number 1. Cesaro then pushes Henry around until Henry puts him in a bear hug. Cesaro gets out as Henry stands tall in the ring.

Damien Sandow is in action next as he is shown backstage making his way to the ring.

Damien Sandow comes out dressed as Sherlock Holmes. Sandow says he very good at solving problems. He says that is what he is here for. He says that everyone came here to see him. Out comes R Truth. Truth says that Sandow has come out as Santa, Magneto, and now Sherlock Holmes, and that he just doesn’t get it. Truth then calls him crazy, and our match then gets underway.

Damien Sandow vs R Truth

Both men lock up, with Truth gaining the advantage first. Truth and Sandow lock up again, with Truth hitting an arm drag, which leads to Sandow rolling out of the ring to get some space. Sandow gets back in the ring and finally gains some offense, until being rolled up for a 2 count. Sandow then rolls out of the ring again, until Truth follows and continues the attack. Sandow is then bounced off the apron, and then is rolled back into the ring. Sandow rolls to the outside again, as we head to our first commercial break.

We return with R Truth in control, knocking Sandow to the floor. Truth goes for a cover but only gets a 2 count. Truth then runs at Sandow, but Sandow flips him over the top rope and onto the floor. Sandow then goes to the outside and continues the attack. Sandow rolls Truth back into the ring and begins to choke him on the bottom rope. Sandow then hits a suplex but only gets a 2 count. Sandow then puts Truth into a headlock. Truth tries to get out but Sandow throws him down and puts him in the headlock again. Truth gets up and fights out, but then lands right into a dropkick by Sandow. Sandow goes for the cover but only gets a 2 count.

Sandow then hits the Russian Leg Sweep and then follows it with the Elbow of Disdain. Sandow makes the cover but only gets a 2 count. Truth is put into a headlock again, but gets out with a jaw breaker. Sandow however halts Truths momentum again, and then continues the attack, keeping Truth grounded. Sandow then hits multiple knees the face, and then follows it with a flurry of punches and kicks. Truth finally creates some space, and then begins his comeback. Truth hits a facebuster on Sandow, and then makes the cover but only gets a 2 count. Truth then hits a side kick to the head but again gets a 2 count. Truth then goes for the Scissors Kick but Sandow ducks and hits the You’re Welcome. Sandow makes the cover and gets the 3 count.

Winner: Damien Sandow

We are shown a video replay of Stephanie McMahon’s announcement regarding the state of the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.

Naomi will face Aksana next after the commercial break.

Naomi vs Aksana

Naomi starts with a flurry of offense, grounding Aksana immediately. Naomi then pushes off Aksana, until Aksana finally halts Naomi’s flurry, throwing her to the floor head first. Naomi however fights back, hitting a high kick to gain some space. Naomi then begins her comeback, until Aksana floors her with a modified power slam. Naomi gets up and catches Aksana with a full nelson bomb, but can only capitalize for a 2 count. Naomi then hits the Rear View and makes the cover for the 3 count.

Winner: Naomi

We get a replay of Bray Wyatt and John Cena’s interactions from this week’s Monday Night Raw.

Mark Henry vs Cesaro w/ Paul Heyman

Heyman grabs the mic and says a match isn’t fitting, and they should do something like an arm wrestling contest. Henry says okay and Heyman changes his mind. Cesaro says its okay and they do the arm wrestling contest at the announcers tables. Heyman grabs Henry’s arm, and then Cesaro takes a cheap shot. Cesaro knocks the table over Henry, as it seems as if the match is not happening.

No Contest

Cesaro stands tall as Heyman says Cesaro is the new strongest man in the WWE. This closes Main Event tonight.
