WWE Main Event Results – September 16th, 2014

We open Main Event with a tag team match.

R Ziggler and Dolph Ziggler vs The Miz and Damien Mizdow

Truth and Miz start the match off. Miz starts off with some offense, taking down Truth with a clothesline. Sandow is tagged in and Truth takes control by working the arm. Ziggler is tagged in and hits an elbow drop. Miz is then thrown to the outside by Ziggler. Sandow and Miz regroup on the outside while Truth and Ziggler flaunt in the ring. Sandow gets in the ring and takes control off of a distraction. Sandow tags in Miz and then begins to mock Ziggler. Miz then hits a knee to the gut, and then tags in Sandow. Sandow attacks the mid section, and is in control as we go to commercial.

We return with Miz in control over Ziggler. Ziggler tries to get back in it, hitting a back suplex on Miz. Ziggler and Miz both make a tag, and Truth begins his comeback. Miz ends causing a distraction, which leads to Sandow taking advantage and gaining control. Miz is tagged in and both men continue to assault Truth. Miz hits a kick to the head and then goes for the cover, but Truth kicks out at 2. Truth finally gains some space, but Sandow is tagged in and Truth can not make it to the corner. Truth tries to make a tag again, but Sandow stops him and Miz is tagged in. Truth begins to fight back, but Miz keeps control, and then goes for a double axe handle. Miz ends up hitting it, but Truth kicks out at 2. Sandow is tagged in, and then begins to attack the head of Truth. Truth however fights back in it with a clothesline! Truth gets to Ziggler and Sandow tags in Miz.

Ziggler begins his comeback, and then hits the Fame-Asser! Ziggler makes the cover but Miz kicks out at 2. Truth then makes the blind tag, and hits a jumping DDT on Miz. Sandow comes in and breaks the pinfall, and then takes out Ziggler. Miz then hits the Skull Crushing Finale on Truth for the 3 count.

Winners: The Miz and Damien Mizdow

We go backstage with Seth Rollins and Renee Young. Renee asks if Mondays loss to Roman was a setback. Seth says that his briefcase doesn’t look like a setback to him. He says he will take out Reigns at Night of Champions, just like he did to Dean Ambrose. He says he will Curb Stomp Reigns into any object he pleases on Sunday, and then asks Renee if thats what she calls a setback.

Seth Rollins will face Big E later on tonight.

Brie Bella vs Cameron

The match starts off with Cameron hitting a couple of shot to the face of Brie. Brie however gets back in it by taking Cameron down into a one legged Boston Crab. Cameron reaches the ropes, and then takes a cheap shot on Brie. Cameron puts Brie in a headlock. Brie gets to her feet, but Cameron hits a snap suplex for a 2 count. Brie gets back up and then begins her comeback. Brie then hits the facebuster for the 3 count.

Winner: Brie Bella

We are shown a video package that highlights the rivalry of John Cena vs Brock Lesnar.

Big E vs Seth Rollins 

This match begins with Big E knocking Rollins down several times. Rollins goes to the outside multiple times to regroup, and then gets back in the ring and hits a cheap shot on Big E. Big E however fights right back with a shoulder block. Big E makes the cover but Rollins kicks out at 2. Big E then hits a couple of shoulder to the gut, and then hits a chop to the chest. Big E then catches Rollins and hits three straight backbreakers. Big E then clotheslines Rollins to the outside. Big E slams Rollins on the announce table, and then throws him in the ring. Rollins however fights back and then hits a suicide dive onto Big E! Rollins is in control as we go to commercial.

We return with Rollins in control. Big E tries to fight back, but Rollins keeps control with a high kick to the head. Rollins continues to tries and keep Big E grounded. Rollins hits a knee to the face, and then puts Big E in a headlock. Rollins lets go, and then hits a splash in the corner. Rollins goes for another splash, but Big E catches him with a big slam! Big E then begins his comeback. Big E hits the big splash but Rollins kicks out at 2! Big E then hits the shoulder tackle on Rollins that sends both of them to the outside! Big E gets in the ring and then calls for the Big Ending. Rollins however reverses with a high kick, and then follows that with the Curb Stomp for the 3 count.

Winner: Seth Rollins

Seth Rollins stands tall in victory to conclude Main Event this week.

    Bai Gawd… This episode looks boring as hell…. didn’t WWE Superstars get canceled on WGN because of shit like this?

      Main Event is on the WWE Network not on television.

        well now it is. it started out on wednesday nights, than it went live on the network and than shown the encore on television and now it seems to be just on the network. i haven’t really paid attention to this show to know when it got canceled on tv

    Probably going to go back and watch this show, mostly for the Rollins vs. Big E match. Sounds like it was pretty good.
