Possible New WWE Night Of Champions Matches, Dory Funk Jr. Honoring Jerry Brisco
- WWE did not announce any new Night of Champions matches on last night’s SmackDown. The only matches still announced are Kaitlyn vs. Layla, Alberto Del Rio vs. Sheamus and John Cena vs. CM Punk.
However, WWE did tease Randy Orton vs. Dolph Ziggler and Kofi Kingston & R-Truth vs. Titus O’Neil & Darren Young for the pay-per-view. On Friday night’s show, O’Neil and Young won a #1 contenders match to once again earn a title shot at the champs.
- Dory Funk Jr. will present WWE’s Jerry Brisco with the Funking Conservatory Fighting Heart Award at a !BANG! Fall Brawl event on September 15th in Ocala, Florida. Jerry’s son Wes Brisco will be in attendance.
