WWE NXT Results – December 23, 2015

We start off with footage from last week’s NXT Takeover London show.

We are in London, England and your announcers are Rich Brennan, Corey Graves, and Byron Saxton.

Aiden English and Simon Gotch pay tribute to the people of London as they dress like Sherlock Holmes and Watson.

Match Number One: Aiden English and Simon Gotch versus Jason Jordan and Chad Gable versus Zack Ryder and Mojo Rawley versus Buddy Murphy and Wesley Blake (with Alexa Bliss)

English and Gable start things off and they lock up. English with a wrist lock and Gable with a reversal into a hammer lock. English with an elbow to the head and he tags in Gotch. Gotch with a wrist lock. Gable with a back heel trip and Gotch with a bridge to avoid the cover. Gotch with a wrist lock. Gable with a bridge into a reversal and a drop toe hold and arm bar. Rawley makes the tag and Gotch misses a drop kick.

Rawley with a clothesline to Gotch and a front face lock. Ryder tags in and Rawley gets Gotch up for a suplex and Ryder with a missile drop kick. Gable sends everyone to the floor and Gable and Jordan stand tall in the ring. We have a six on two standoff and the referee tries to gain control as we go to commercial.

We are back and English with a wrist lock to Ryder. Ryder with an arm drag and flapjack for a near fall. Gable makes the tag and he puts English in a wrist lock. English kips up and Gable sends him to the mat. English gets up again and Gable takes him down. Gable with an arm drag and Blake tags in. Gable with a waist lock and Blake with a leg take down. Gable with a flying arm drag and head scissors take down.

Gable with a drop kick and Murphy tags in. Gable with a drop kick to Murphy. Gable with a running knee into the corner and Gable is put on the turnbuckles. Gable with a boot to Mruphy and a cross arm breaker in the ropes but Blake pulls Gable off Murphy and Gable falls to the floor while the referee is distracted by Bliss. Blake tags in and gets the near fall.

Blake with a step over toe hold. Blake with an elbow drop to the leg and he kicks Gable in the hamstring. Blake returns to the step over toe hold. Gable with an inside cradle for a near fall. English tags in and kicks Gable. English with a punch and he drops a knee and gets a near fall. English chokes Gable and poses. Gotch tags in and he kicks Gable.

Gotch with kicks to the hamstring and a step over toe hold. Gotch kicks Gable and Gable kicks Gotch away. English tags in and goes for a senton off the turnbuckles but Gable gets his knees up. Murphy tags in and Gable sends him to the floor. Murphy pulls Jordan off the apron and then he pulls Gable into the corner and Blake tags in. Blake and Murphy take care of Mojo and Ryder.

Jordan tags in and he drop kicks Murphy and Blake. Jordan sends Murphy into the air and then he hits an overhead belly-to-belly suplex on Blake. Jordan with a head and leg overhead suplex to Gotch followed by a Saito suplex to English. Jordan catches Blake off the turnbuckles and hits an Exploder for a near fall. Rawley sends English face first to the mat. Rawley hot shots Gotch and Ryder clotheslines Gotch over the top rope to the floor.

Mojo back drops Ryder over the top rope onto Gotch and English. Blake pushes Rawley over the top rope. Jordan with a belly-to-belly suplex that sends Blake over the top rope. Gable tags in and they hit Grand Amplitude for the three count.

Winners: Chad Gable and Jason Jordan

We go to more footage from Takeover with footage from the Emma versus Asuka match.

Emma and Dana Brooke were interviewed after the match. Dana says they had a plan and she turns into Asuka. Asuka pats Dana on the top of the head. Asuka then mocks Emma’s dancing. Asuka walks away. Dana asks if Emma left yet. Dana says Asuka is lucky she left because things wouldn’t have been good. After injuring her and Emma, she is not going to play nice. She says she is not resting. It is time they get serious. Play time is over.

We are back with a look at the tour throughout the United Kingdom prior to the Takeover special in London.

We see footage from the NXT Title Match between Finn Balor and Samoa Joe.

Tye Dillinger is in the back and he says that everyone wants to know what it is like to be a Perfect Ten. Everyone is now talking about the return of Sami Zayn. The Former NXT Champion Sami Zayn faces the Perfect Ten tonight. Every day in every way, Dillinger is a ten.

Elias Samson says he met a lot of people in his life, but none of them have been perfect. He has been playing hurt for fifteen years and he ain’t perfect. Ain’t nobody who knows himself better than he. No more hungry wolves. No more starving nations. No more redemption for the lost souls. There has got to be a plan and what it needs is who he is.

We go to commercial.

We are back with footage from the match between Baron Corbin and Apollo Crews.

Baron Corbin says no one gets up from the End of Days. You put up a good fight Apollo, but you did not win. Baron says he is crowning himself the number one contender for the NXT Title.

Match Number Two: Bull Dempsey versus Elias Samson

Bull does jumping jacks while Samson finally gets off the turnbuckles. Dempsey with an arm drag and clothesline but he misses an elbow drop. Samson sends Bull into the turnbuckles and Elias kicks Bull. Elias with punches to Bull in the corner. Bull with forearms. Bull with jabs and a running shoulder tackles. Samson with a jumping knee to the head and Bull is down. Samson gets back to his feet and he goes up top. Samson with an elbow drop and he gets the three count.

Winner: Elias Samson

We see footage from the Tag Title Match from last week’s show.

We go to comments from the champions after their victory. Dash says Enzo and Cass put up a fight. You showed you were one of the best tag teams. Scott says in London, it wasn’t your night. They are the best tag team on this planet. They wish everyone a happy holiday.

We go to commercial.

We are back with a look at the NXT Women’s Title Match between Nia Jax and Bayley.

Match Number Three: Sami Zayn versus Tye Dillinger

They lock up and Dillinger with a wrist lock into an arm bar. Zayn gets to the ropes. They lock up and Dillinger with a hammer lock and Zayn gets to the ropes. Zayn favors his injured shoulder. They lock up again and Zayn with a wrist lock. Dillinger with a reversal and snap mare followed by a cartwheel that he gives himself a ten.

They lock up and Dillinger with a side head lock. Zayn with arm drags and a satellite arm drag as Dillinger is sent to the floor. Zayn sets for a dive to the floor but he bounces off the top rope and back into the ring. Dillinger complains about the crowd giving Zayn a ten for that last move.

Dillinger pulls Zayn to the floor and Zayn with a punch and chop. Zayn with a side head lock and he chops Dillinger again. Zayn returns to the side head lock and Dillinger sends Zayn shoulder first into the ring post and we go to commercial.

We are back and Dillinger with an arm bar but Zayn with an arm drag. Dillinger with an arm wringer to the injured arm and Dillinger gets a near fall. Dillinger punches Zayn in the head and then he stomps on the head. Dillinger with a key lock. Zayn with forearms but Dilinger with a shoulder tackle and he slams the injured arm into the mat. Dillinger with a short arm clothesline. Zayn with a short arm clothesline when Dillinger loses focus. Zayn with another clothesline. Dillinger with a kick but Zayn with a clothesline. Zayn sends Dillinger into the turnbuckles and then Zayn with a fisherman’s suplex. Zayn with a flip dive onto Dillinger on the floor.

Sami sends Dillinger back into the ring and Zayn goes up top and he leaps over Dillinger when he comes at the corner. Zayn with a Blue Thunder Bomb for a near fall. Zayn waits for Dillinger to get back to his feet and Zayn runs into a boot. Zayn blocks the kick and he goes for a suplex but Dillinger lands on his feet. Zayn almost bumps into the referee but Dillinger with a rollup for a near fall.

Dillinger with a super kick for a near fall. Dillinger waits for Zayn to get up and Dillinger runs into a boot. Dillinger blocks the boot. Zayn with an Exploder into the turnbuckles followed by the Helluva Kick for the three count.

Winner: Sami Zayn

After the match, Sami gets a mic and he says he hates to cut the crowd off, but he has been waiting for seven months to say something. He says that he is back. Sami says he feels like the trend in his career is that every time a dream comes true, a nightmare happens. It happened when he won the NXT Title. It happened when he faced John Cena on Raw in his home town. Tonight, that trend was broken.

Sami thanks the crowd and he talks about how NXT sold out a 10,000 seat arena. As if that isn’t impressive enough. More and more things will happen in NXT in 2016. Sami says more great things are in store in 2016 for him. Sami thanks everyone for coming.
