WWE Raw Results – February 24th, 2014

We open the show with Hulk Hogan! The crowd erupts for Hogan and he grabs a mic. Hogan starts off saying that tonight is the turning point of his career. He says he is finally home. Hogan says 30 years ago he was part of something special: the first Wrestlemania. He then says tonight is the launch of the WWE Network. He then says the future is Wrestlemania 30. Hogan than says he is the official host of Wrestlemania. Hogan then celebrates in the ring.

Cole, Lawler, and JBL pump up the WWE Network. We are than told Daniel Bryan will face Kane tonight. We are also told Brock Lesnar MAY be here tonight. Batista vs Alberto Del Rio will have a rematch after the commercial break.

Alberto Del Rio vs Batista

Batista starts attacking Del Rio in the corner. Del Rio goes to the outside and Batista follows and attacks him. Batista throws Del Rio back in the ring but gets caught with a kick when entering the ring. Del Rio continues the attack and begins to mock Batista. Del Rio goes for a suplex but Batista reverses it into one of his own. Del Rio is clotheslined over the rope but then catches Batista as he goes to the outside. Del Rio throws Batista into the ring steps as he stands tall going into the commercial break.

We return with Del Rio in complete control. Del Rio hits a bunch of stomps on the mid section of Batista, and then goes for a running dropkick. Batista dodges it and Del Rio falls to the outside of the ring. Del Rio is brought to the top rope, and Batista attempts for a superplex. Batista hits it but cant capitalize with a pin fall. Both men get up and begin to slug it out. The crowd is heavily in favor of Del Rio. Batista then hits two clotheslines and a power slam for a 2 count. Del Rio however takes control and sets up for the kick. Del Rio misses and is caught into a spinebuster. Batista sets up for the Batista Bomb but Orton comes out. Del Rio rolls up Batista for the 3 count!

Winner: Alberto Del Rio

Orton begins to talk and acknowledges the crowds resentment for Batista. Orton then says he probably regrets coming back. Batista says he doesn’t care what the crowd says. He says if they cheer him, then he cheers back. He then says if they boo me, then he boos back. Batista then says it doesn’t matter because he will beat Orton, and that he will be the next WWE World Heavyweight champion. He then says we all have to deal with it.

We are told Cesaro vs Big E is up next.

Cesaro vs Big E

Cesaro and Big E lock up in the middle of the ring, with Big E bouncing Cesaro off the ropes and hitting a shoulder block. Big E and Cesaro lock up again, with both men slamming each other into the ring. They then begin to slug it out, with Big E hitting a belly to belly to take control. Big E then hits another belly to belly, and then follows it with shoulder tackles in the corner. Big E goes for the cover but only gets a 2 count. Cesaro fights back with shots to the midsection. Cesaro hits a boot to the face on Big E, turning momentum on his side. Cesaro jumps off the top rope but Big E catches him. Big E then hits 3 straight back breakers for a 2 count. Big E tries to work the arm, but Cesaro hits Big E with a tilt a whirl back breaker! Cesaro is in control as we head to commercial.

We return with Cesaro in control over Big E. Cesaro has Big E in a headlock, but Big E fights back. Both men begin to trade blows, but Big E catches Cesaro with a gorilla press slam! Cesaro however moves out of the way and Big E runs into the ring post. Cesaro hits a double foot stomp, and is in once again complete control. Cesaro hits a power slam on Big E but only gets a 2 count.

Cesaro hits a gut wrench slam on Big E but once again only gets a 2 count. Cesaro and Big E once again trade blows, and Cesaro catches Big E in the sleeper hold. Big E powers out and begins his comeback sequence. Big E hits a big splash but only gets a 2 count. Big E pulls the straps down and goes for the Big Ending, but Cesaro gets out and hits the big uppercut! Cesaro goes for the cover but only gets a 2 count. Cesaro calls for the Swing but Big E gets out. Big E catches him with a big slam but also gets a 2 count. Cesaro throws Big E to the outside, and Big E takes out Swagger. Big E comes back in the ring and is caught in the Cesaro Swing! Cesaro goes for the cover but Swagger comes in and puts Big E in the Patriot Lock.

Winner: (By DQ) Big E

Cesaro is in completely frustrated with Swagger, and Zeb tries to calm him down. Big E attacks Swagger and Cesaro hits the Neutralizer on Big E. Cesaro and Swagger continue to argue as we cut back to the announce team. We are shown The Wyatts attack of John Cena last night. We are told Cena will address the Wyatt Family up next.

We come back with John Cena making his way to the ring. Cena starts off saying how he thinks its great that Hogan is back. He then says tonight will be remembered, because of the WWE Network. Cena says that he has had a clear message to all the younger superstars these past couple of weeks, and that they have to go through him. Cena says that makes him a pretty big target, and that brings in Bray Wyatt. Cena says he knew they would cross paths eventually, and that he cost him his chance at main eventing Wrestlemania. He then calls out Bray Wyatt, and The Wyatts come out.

Bray grabs a mic and says that this world has an infection. He says its the human race. He says that John Cena is the hero, but that he is hallow. He says he has empty promises. He says he tells people its okay as long as he is there. He calls Cena in a liar, and that he will expose him. He says the future goes through John Cena, and that he is the reaper of death, and that he is gonna end all of his lies. Cena then says if they get in the ring, they may not be able to finish what they start.

The Wyatts get in the ring, and begin to assault John Cena. Bray gives Cena some room but Cena goes after him. The Wyatts continue the assault, with Bray hitting his big shoulder block to finish off Cena. We then cut to commercial.

Christian vs Sheamus

The match starts with Sheamus tossing Christian to the outside. Christian gets back in the ring and lock up with Sheamus. Christian slaps Sheamus and Sheamus begins the beat down. Sheamus hits a big clothesline for a 2 count. Sheamus hits two knees to the back, and then clotheslines Christian to the outside. Christian is thrown back into the ring, and takes a couple knees to the face. Christian fights back and hits a missile dropkick for a two count. Christian then hits a knee to the mid section of Sheamus, and brings Sheamus onto the ring apron. Sheamus however flips Christian over the ropes and hits a shoulder block from the apron. Sheamus is dominating as we head to commercial.

We return with Christian taking out Sheamus to the outside. Christian bounces Sheamus off the steel steps, and rolls him back into the ring. Christian goes for the cover but only gets a 2 count. Christian begins to assault Sheamus in the corner with a bunch of stomps. Christian hits a headbutt on the midsection, and then locks in a bear hug. Sheamus begins to fight back, but Christian puts him into an abdominal stretch. Sheamus refuses to quit, and gets out with a couple of elbows. Christian fights off Sheamus and goes up top. Christian goes for a cross body but misses.

Sheamus then hits a high running knee and begins his comeback. Sheamus then hits his signature 10 blows to the chest on Christian, and follows it with his battering ram. Sheamus goes for the Clover Leaf and gets it locked in. Christian reaches the ropes and Sheamus has to let go. Christian goes for the KillSwitch but Sheamus reverses into White Noise. Christian however rolls him up but only gets a 2 count. Sheamus hits a power slam and both men are down. Sheamus goes for the Brogue Kick but Christian dodges it. Christian goes up taught and is caught with a Brogue Kick in mid air! Sheamus makes the cover and gets the 3 count.

Winner: Sheamus

We go backstage with Triple H and Stephanie being interviewed hyping up the WWE Network. Daniel Bryan comes in ranting about how many times they screw him. He says he wants a match with him at Wrestlemania since they wont let him near the title picture. Triple H says that he only fights A+ players, and that he will try and find a spot for him on the card and hopefully he makes it. Bryan is held back by security as Triple H and Stephanie walk off. We cut to commercial.

We return with a video package for Black History Month, showcasing Rocky Johnson and Tony Atlas. We go backstage with the Shield. Rollins asks where Ambrose was, and Ambrose says he is sick of them not trusting him, and leaves. Rollins says to Reigns that he wants to believe him but its hard for him to do it. The Wyatts come in and Reigns says to fight him tonight. Reigns says he leaves his men behind, and that he will tell Rollins and Ambrose not to come down with him. Wyatt calls Reigns an “interesting creature”, and that he accepts.

Daniel Bryan vs Kane

Bryan starts with heavy offense, but Kane attacks the injured shoulder. Bryan fights back and begins to take Kane down with kicks to the leg. Bryan begins to work the leg, hitting it with a dropkick. Bryan continues to attack the leg, taking Kane down once again. Bryan hits a half Boston Crab on Kane, but he reaches the ropes. Kane once again attacks the shoulder and Kane is in control. Kane beats down the shoulder of Bryan, and goes for the cover but only gets a 2 count. Bryan fights back and goes for the Suicide Dive but Kane catches him. Kane throws Bryan into the steel steps and Bryan is down. Kane is standing tall as we head to commercial.

We return with Bryan fighting back, but Kane hitting him with a big boot. Kane rips off the bandages of Bryan, and then continues to work the shoulder. Kane hits a big splash in the corner and then goes for the cover, but only gets a 2 count. Bryan begins to fight back one more time, hitting the back flip/clothesline combo. Bryan then hits multiple kicks to the chest, and goes for the high kick, but misses. Kane pushes him off and hits a sidewalk slam for a 2 count. Kane goes up top but Bryan stops him. Bryan then hits a hurricanrana from the top rope but only gets a 2 count. Bryan hits two dropkicks in the corner, and then goes for the third but is caught with an uppercut. Kane goes for a clothesline but Bryan throws him over the rope, and then follows it with a suicide dive. Bryan hits a running dropkick on Kane on the outside, and then brings Kane in the ring. Bryan goes up top and hits a missile dropkick. Bryan goes up top again and goes for the headbutt, but Kane catches him, and hits a chokeslam! Kane goes for the cover but Bryan kicks out at 2! Bryan goes for the Yes Lock but Kane gets out and goes for the chokeslam. Bryan gets out and gets some momentum and then hits the running knee! Bryan goes for the cover and gets the 3 count.

Winner: Daniel Bryan

Bryan grabs a mic and says that he confronted the Authority. Daniel Bryan calls Triple H a coward. He says that he challenged him to a match at Mania, and that he hid behind his wife. He then says that ever since Triple H put on his suit, he has ignored the people. He says what the people want is him vs Triple H at Wrestemania 30, and the crowd erupts in Yes chants!

We are told Roman Reigns vs Bray Wyatt is official, and that Summer Rae is in action up next. We head to commercial.

We return and are told Batista will be on Smackdown this week. We then get an Alexander Rusev vignette.

Summer Rae vs Emma

Emma starts off dancing around Summer Rae, and Summer pushes her. Emma pushes back, and then they begin to brawl. Summer gets the upper hand, and throws Emma in the corner. Emma dodges Summer, and rolls her up for a 2 count. Summer than hits a big kick on Emma, but only gets a 2 count. Summer begins to choke Emma on the second rope, and then shoves her knee in Emma’s face. Summer continues to ground Emma, with Santino trying to get Emma back into it. Summer goes for a kick but Emma catches her, and puts Summer into the Emma Lock. Summer has no choice but to tap out.

Winner: Emma

Emma and Santino celebrate after the match. We are shown a replay of Hogans announcement that he is the host of Wrestlemania 30. The Usos vs The New Age Outlaws are up next.

The New Age Outlaws vs The Usos

While Road Dogg was doing his promo, Jimmy hits him with a superkick. Billy is taken out by Jey, and Jimmy hits the splash for the 3 count!

Winners: The Usos

The Usos celebrate in the ring as the Outlaws look on.

Roman Reigns vs Bray Wyatt

Both men come to the ring alone. They stare down in the middle of the ring, and then Bray and Roman take a shot at each other. Bray goes to the outside and reenters the ring. They lock up again with Bray taking control. Bray hits a strong uppercut and begins to mock the crowd. Bray bounces off the ropes but is taken down with a shoulder block. Bray falls to the outside and Roman waits for him to enter the ring. Roman and Bray begin to slug it out, with Bray taking Reigns down with a big boot. Bray hits a headbutt to Roman, and follows it with a clothesline. Bray is in complete control, beating Reigns down in the corner. Reigns fights back and throws Bray to the outside. Roman follows and hits a hard hitting clothesline on the outside, giving him control of the match. Bray is down as we head to commercial.

We return with Bray and Reigns fighting in the middle of the ring. Bray hits a splash on Reigns and is in control once again. Bray begins to attack Roman, but Reigns fights back. Bray halts Reigns attempt at a comeback right away and hits a suplex. Reigns is put in a headlock but fights out. Reigns bounces off the ropes but runs into Brays massive shoulder block. Bray hits a big splash in the corner, and then goes for a second. Reigns gets out of the way, and begins his comeback sequence. Reigns is all over Bray, and then hits is outside apron dropkick. Reigns goes for the cover but only gets a 2 count. Reigns sets up for the superman punch, but then Rowan and Harper come to ringside. Rollins comes out of nowhere and takes them both out. Harper and Rowan attack Rollins but Ambrose comes makes the save. Reigns hits the superman punch on Bray and sets him up for the spear. Ambrose attacks Bray and all hell breaks lose!

The Shield clear the ring and stand tall over the Wyatt Family. We go backstage with Heyman and Brock. Heyman says to Brock not to tear anything up tonight, as they have to remain civil. Brock is coming out next.

We return and out comes Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman. Paul Heyman grabs the mic and says that Brock Lesnar is the obvious number one contender and should main event Wrestlemania. He says that Brock is not in a good mood, because he is not in the main event of Wrestlemania. He says Orton and Batista should get their match out of the way and fight Lesnar at Wrestlemania. He then says Triple H gave him an open contract where Lesnar can face whoever he wants, but thats a consolation prize. He said he wants to make history by winning the WWE World Heavyweight Championship but the Authority wont let that happen. He said they can’t play games with him, and that he rejects their open contract. He says they must give him the match he wants or he wont be at Wrestlemania at all. Brock is about to leave and then the gong hits!

Undertaker makes his way to the ring! Taker and Brock stare down in the middle of the ring, with no one making a move. Taker stares at the Wrestlemania sign, and Brock nods his head. Brock signs the contract, and gives the pen to Taker. Heyman then grabs the mic and say sign the contract if he wants the match. Taker then stabs Brock in the hand with the pen and chokeslams Brock through the table!  Taker stands tall at the end of the show as Brock Lesnar vs The Undertaker is now official for Wrestlemania 30!
