WWE Raw Results – September 10, 2012

Justin Roberts opens up the night and tells us to Welcome Back Bret Hart. The most familiar guitar riff in WWE history is heard and out walks The Best There Is, Was, and Every Will Be, Bret “The Hitman” Hart.

Michael Cole and Jerry “The King” Lawler welcome us to Monday Night RAW as the Montreal crowd give Bret Hart a heroes welcome.

Bret tries to speak but the crowd won’t let him with their cheers. A huge “Ole” chant and a “Thank you Bret” chant is heard.

Bret says that he will never forget about what happened in Montreal but thanks the crowd for their support.

CM Punk’s music starts and he makes his way to the stage. CM Punk mocks Bret’s pose as he comes down to the ring.

Punk must have done something wrong to a fan who was telling him Bret was better cause the screen went black for a second.

CM Punk mocks Bret’s book and Bret says it would have taken him less than a minute to beat CM Punk in 1997. CM Punk believes that he could have killed WWE by jumping ship to WCW back in the day.

CM Punk says mocks Jerry Lawler. We get a look at the antics of CM Punk last week in Chicago followed by highlights of the main event between John Cena and Alberto del Rio. Del Rio won the match last week after CM Punk kicked Cena in the skull. The highlights end with Paul Heyman driving CM Punk away from his hometown.

CM Punk asks “Where is John Cena?” and then goes into a diatribe about respect and how he will be the best WWE Champion of all time after he beats John Cena.

Bret mocks CM Punk’s promo skills and the crowd chants “Boring” to CM Punk. The crowd calls CM Punk the french word for asshole as he walks up the ramp.

An interview segment with John Cena and Bret Hart is hyped.

RAW ACTIVE this week will decide CM Punk challenger for tonight. Either Brodus Clay, Jerry Lawler, or Randy Orton will face him.

All Champions Match
Kofi Kingston and R-Truth vs The Miz and Antonio Cesaro w/Aksana

Antonio says prestige in 5 languages as he walks down the ramp.

It is announced that the WWE Preshow on Youtube will be a Battle Royal to determine who will face Antonio for the US Championship on the PPV itself.

Kofi and The Miz start things off in the ring. Truth and Kofi double team The Miz and Antonio before Kofi launches himself over the top rope onto his opponents.

Antonio has R-Truth in a headlock and then nails him with a European Uppercut before tagging in The Miz. The Miz hammers Truth with fists in the corner for before hitting his running clothesline. The Miz hits an Axe Handle from the top rope. Truth hits Miz with a spinning kick and makes the hot tag to Kofi. Kofi hits several high impact moves before hitting Cesaro with the Boom Drop. The Miz with a distraction before Kofi hits a beautiful flying crossbody. R-Truth takes out the Miz and a few seconds later, Kofi hits Cesaro with Trouble in Paradise for the win.

WINNER: Kofi Kingston and R-Truth

A recap of Sheamus and Alberto del Rio’s actions on RAW last week is shown. They recapped what happened on Smackdown with the Brogue Kick being banned. Sheamus is seen talking to Bret Hart backstage.

Lawler and Cole take us to a deposition with Sheamus, Otunga, and Ricardo taken place at WWE. Sheamus tells several bad jokes as the crowd sits on its hands. The crowd chants Yes as Sheamus mentions Daniel Bryan. The segment finally ends with Sheamus kicked the camera recording the segment.

Sheamus vs David Otunga and the RAW Active match with CM Punk is hyped.

6 Diva Tag Team Match
Eve, Layla, Kaitlyn vs Beth Phoenix, Alicia Fox, and Natalya

Beth and Kaitlyn start things off. Beth and Kaitlyn trade shots in the corner before Kaitlyn hits Beth with a shoulderblock. Natalya comes in and begins her attack on Kaitlyn. Alcia comes in and hits a bridging suplex. Layla comes in and hits a springboard crossbody onto Alicia. Eve tags herself in and hits her neckbreaker onto Alica for the win.

WINNER: Layla, Eve, and Kaitlyn

AJ Lee and CM Punk are shown backstage. CM Punk moans about how he has a match tonight and John Cena doesn’t. AJ says it is because he left last week.

The RAW Active match is NEXT

CM Punk makes his way to the ring. The Winner of the RAW Active poll is Randy Orton and we have a Wrestlemania 27 Rematch. Randy Orton makes his way down to the ring.

CM Punk vs Randy Orton

Punk and Orton trade opening headlocks as the crowd is 50/50 for each superstar. Punk knees Orton in the corner and then hits a backbreaker for one. Punk is taking things slow with several knees to Ortons midsection. Orton whips Punk into the corner and goes for an RKO but Punk quickly rolls out of the ring. Punk tries to walk out of the match but Randy Orton chases after him and pulls him back to the ring.

CM Punk has Orton in an abdominal stretch but Orton breaks out. Orton then misses his knee drop allowing CM Punk to hit a Bret Hart elbow drop from the corner. Punk then goes for the Macho Man Elbow Drop but is caught by Orton. Orton hits CM Punk with the superplex for two. Punk and Orton trade punches on the mat. Punk kicks Orton in the gut but eats two clotheslines and a back back drop. Orton set up the Viper DDT but Punk hits his springboard clothesline for two. Punk goes for the GTS but misses. Orton goes for the RKO but misses and hits Punk with his backbreaker before nailing Punk with the Viper DDT. Dolph Ziggler comes out and attacks Orton ending the match.

WINNER: Randy Orton via DQ

Dolph Ziggler and CM Punk double team Randy Orton. Jerry Lawler comes into the ring and saves Orton.

During the break AJ made a tag team match with these four combatants.

Randy Orton and Jerry Lawler vs CM Punk and Dolph Ziggler w/Vicki Guerrero

Orton and Ziggler are in the ring. Orton is stomping on Ziggler’s leg. Orton hits a springboard suplex for two and then tags in Jerry. Jerry hits his flying punch for two. Ziggler with a dropkick on Lawler for two. Ziggler begins to punch Lawler into a lifeless heap in the middle of the ring. Ziggler hits Lawler with an elbow drop for two before going back to a headlock. Lawler hits a backsuplex on Ziggler and makes the hot tag to The Viper. Orton hits Ziggler with his powerslam before Ziggler launches Orton out of the ring. Paul Heyman makes his way down to the ring to talk to CM Punk. As CM Punk and Paul Heyman bad mouth Montreal, Orton hits Ziggler with an RKO for the win.

WINNER: Randy Orton and Jerry Lawler

Cole hypes Cena’s interview segment with Bret Hart.

CM Punk and Paul Heyman are interviewed by Matt Striker and Punk says that he is a “Paul Heyman” guy.

A recap of the hugging segment with Daniel Bryan and Kane from last week is shown.

Kane and Daniel Bryan are shown backstage with their therapist. AJ says that she brought him to RAW to work out their issues.

Heath Slater is in the ring and wants a rematch with Zack Ryder but Ryback comes out.

The Goldberg chants starts as Ryback dominates Slater. Slater hits Ryback with a neckbreaker and several kicks to the back but Ryback no-sells them. Ryback hits Slater with a clothesline and a pair of powerbombs before hitting Slater with his marching Samoan Drop for the win.

WINNER: Ryback

Cole and Lawler hype the WWE App.

The Prime Time Playas are told that they aren’t the #1 Contenders even though they won the #1 Contenders match on Smackdown. AJ Lee tells them that they will have to face Kane and Daniel Bryan.

A “Wi” chant brake out as Titus and Kane start things off. Kane takes Titus into the corner and punches him. Daniel Bryan is tagged in and Young takes himself in, hitting Daniel with a clothesline. Titus comes back in and powerbombs Daniel. Daniel is elbowed into the corner by Titus and Darren gets tagged in. Young locks in a headlock on Bryan. Titus comes back and chokes Daniel with the middle rope. Daniel kicks Titus but is hit with a backbreaker. Titus stomps Bryan into the mat before locking in a headlock and tagging in Young. Daniel refuses to tag Kane and missed a flying headbutt. After fighting out of a headlock Bryan hits Young with several kicks. Kane tags himself in and hits Young with a sidewalk slam. Young is hit with a chokeslam but Daniel tags himself in. Kane hits Byran with a chokeslam but he lands on Young for the 3.

WINNERS: Daniel Bryan and Kane

Kane and Daniel Bryan will now go onto face Kofi Kingston and R-Truth at Night of Champions for the tag team championships.

Ricardo does his entrance for Alberto del Rio who comes out in a Bentley. Tyson Kidd comes out.

Alberto del Rio vs Tyson Kidd
Tyson kicks Alberto in the face and goes for the Sharpshooter. Del Rio hits his backbreaker on Kidd and locks in a headlock. Alberto flies through the second rope and nails Del Rio with a knee to the face on the outside. Back in the ring, Kidd is kicked in the face. Kidd locks in the Sharpshooter for the big crowd reaction. Alberto makes it to the ropes where Kidd tries a legdrop on the apron but missed. Del Rio locks in the armbreaker for the win.

WINNER: Alberto del Rio

Tyson Kidd is assaulted by Del Rio after the match who cuts a promo about his match with Sheamus at Night of Champions.

Jerry Lawler has collapsed and is receiving medical attention in the back. This is not part of the show. God be with The King right now!

Sheamus vs David Otunga
There is no commentary as Sheamus and David Otunga lock up. Otunga slaps Sheamus who headbutts him and stomps him into the canvas. Sheamus sets Otunga up in the outside and hits him with his 10 Axe Handles. Sheamus hits the Iruse Cruse and locks in the Cloverleaf for the win

WINNER: Sheamus

Sheamus goes back to the ring and hits Otunga with the Brogue Kick

AJ Lee comes out and then Booker T follows her. Booker than says that if Sheamus uses the Brogue Kick again, he will be stripped of the World Title.

Rey Mysterio is shown talking to Bret Hart. Rey is in action NEXT.

There is still no commentary as a recap of Kane and Daniel Bryan’s match is shown. Kingston and R-Truth touted about their upcoming match with Kane and Daniel Bryan.

Kane and Bryan are shown backstage with their therapist who recommends their team be called Team Friendship.

A rundown of Night of Champions card is shown.

Michael Cole is back and tells us that Jerry Lawler has been sent to a medical facility and is on oxygen. Out of respect, there will be no more commentary tonight.

Cody Rhodes makes his entrance and we have another Wrestlemania 27 rematch

Rey Mysterio vs Cody Rhodes
Rey Mysterio kicks Rhodes in the face but Rhodes fires back with the Goldust Throat Thrust. Rhodes with a knee to Rey’s skull and several punches to his face. Rhodes hits Rey with a reverse suplex before getting hit with several kicks to the leg by Rey. A CrossRhodes attempt fails and Rey hits Cody with a Hurricanrana on the outside. Cody nails the Beautiful Disaster kick and then stomps on Rey. Cody motions for Rey to get up before launching himself into the ringpost as Rey moves. Rey hits a hurricanrana and a bulldog followed by a kick to Rhodes face. Rey sends Cody into the ropes for the 619 but misses as The Miz comes out. Cody hits the CrossRhodes for the win.

WINNER: Cody Rhodes

Cody shocks the crowd as he hits The Miz with a CrossRhodes and hold up the Intercontinental Title.

John Cena is shown walking backstage

Michael Cole updates us that Jerry Lawler is responsive in the ER and is waiting for a CAT Scan.

Bret “The Hitman” makes his way down to the ring and introduces the #1 Contender for the WWE Championship, John Cena.

Bret Hart compares his feud with HBK to John Cena’s feud with CM Punk. The Montreal crowd chants “You Can’t Wrestle” at John Cena. John Cena says that CM Punk does not stand for anything, calling him desperate. Bret Hart asks what he is going to do to shut CM Punk up. CM Punk makes his way to the to the stage. CM Punk calls John Cena, the biggest phony in WWE History. CM Punk talks about his championship reign and how he is better than HBK, Stone Cold, and The Rock. Cena calls CM Punk a hypocite and a scumbag as he touts Montreal for being an honest city. John Cena mocks CM Punk’s lack of main events and his lack of change. Cena says that he went from an underdog to the odds on favorite as himself. Cena says that CM Punk has failed to find himself and says that Punk is in Jeopardy of losing his title. John Cena cuts a little promo in French but is cut off by Punk before he can say what he meant. John is finally able to translate and says at Night of Champions, he is going to kick CM Punk’s ass.

Punk tries to sucker punch Bret but John Cena stops him. Bret Hart clocks CM Punk across the skull as CM Punk walks up the ramp with his tail between his legs as The Hitman’s theme rings throughout the Montreal arena.

Michael Cole saying that The King’s condition has thankfully stabilized and is getting ready for a CAT Scan.

RAW ends with John Cena raising Bret Hart’s hand.
