WWE Raw Results – September 22nd, 2014

We open up Raw with the returning Dean Ambrose! Dean grabs a mic and screams that he is not dead, and that he is far from it. Dean says he keeps thinking about how he got taken out, and then shows us a clip of Rollins curb stomping him. He says he is flattered that the Authority cares so much about him that they needed to get rid of him like that. He says he is sick of the Authority protecting Rollins, and that he won’t leave until he comes out. Out comes John Cena!

Dean kicks the chair out of the ring and says he is bothered that Cena is here. He says he doesn’t want to have a reason to not like him. Cena says they actually have the same agenda. Cena says that Rollins cost him the WWE Championship, and that he is taking out Rollins tonight. Ambrose warns him again, and says for Cena to not get in his way. Cena and Ambrose look like they are ready to fight each other, and out comes the Authority.

Triple H says that no one is fighting Rollins tonight, and Cena says he will just go get him himself. Cena and Ambrose both leave the ring and go after the Authority! All hell breaks lose, with Ambrose and Cena attacking Rollins! Rollins runs to the back and steals a guys car. Ambrose and Cena try to get to him but Rollins gets away. Ambrose and Cena look at each other as we go to commercial.

We return with the Authority backstage. Triple H says that Kane will face Ambrose tonight, and Orton will fight Cena. Orton says to tell Rollins to stop starting fires that they have to put out.

Dolph Ziggler vs The Miz – Intercontinental Championship Match

Ziggler starts off with a quick roll up, but Miz kicks out at 1. Both men lock up, with Ziggler gaining the advantage. Ziggler then hits a clothesline and an elbow drop. Ziggler makes the cover but Miz kicks out at 2. Miz however gets back in it, hitting a shoulder block, and then following it with a knee to the gut. Miz then hits a knee to the back, and then puts Ziggler in a headlock. Ziggler gets out, but then gets taken down again. Miz goes for the Figure 4, but Ziggler gets out, and then begins his comeback. Miz however counters a neckbreaker, and then hits one of his own on the edge of the mat. Ziggler falls to the outside as Miz is now in control. We go to commercial break.

We return with Miz still in control over Dolph. Miz goes for a his running clothesline in the corner, and he connects. He then goes to the top rope, and goes for the double axe handle. Ziggler however hits a dropkick in mid air! Ziggler then gets on his feet, and then begins his comeback for the second time. Ziggler ends up hitting the jumping DDT, but Miz kicks out at 2! Ziggler and Miz then have a fiery sequence that leads to Miz locking in the Figure 4! Ziggler is able to crawl to the ropes, but the leg appears to be injured. Ziggler ends up taking out Sandow, but then gets caught with the Skull Crushing Finale! Ziggler however kicks out at 2! Ziggler gets back up and hits the Fame-Asser! Miz however also kicks out! Ziggler then superkicks Sandow off the ropes, but gets rolled up. Ziggler then continues the momentum and rolls up Miz for the 3 count!

Winner and NEW CHAMPION: Dolph Ziggler

Dolph celebrates on the ramp as Miz complains to the ref that he held onto the tights.

We will get an update on the condition of Roman Reigns later tonight. We go to commercial.

Bo Dallas vs Jack Swagger 

The match starts with Bo getting in a lot of offense. Bo hits a clothesline and then a couple of knees on Swaggers head. Bo makes the cover but Swagger kicks out at 2. Swagger fights back, but Bo slows it down again and then puts Swagger in a headlock. Swagger fights out and then begins his comeback. Swagger hits a Swagger Bomb, and then goes for the cover. Bo kicks out, and then is put in the Patriot Lock. Bo immediately taps out.

Winner: Jack Swagger

Colter grabs the mic and tells Bo that he Bolieves that he just tapped out to Swagger. Swagger then begins to celebrate with the crowd.

WWE hypes up John Cena vs Randy Orton. We go to commercial break.

Natalya vs Summer Rae

Natalya immediately goes after Summer, but Summer takes advantage and takes down Natty with a clothesline. Summer puts Natty in a waist lock to keep her grounded. Natty powers out, and then hits a scoop slam. Natty hits a low dropkick, and then begins to attack Summer in the corner. Natty then locks in the sharpshooter. Summer has no choice but to tap out.

Winner: Natalya 

Dean Ambrose vs Kane is coming up next. We go to commercial.

Dean Ambrose vs Kane

Dean starts off immediately going after Kane. Kane gets pushed into the corner, but Kane shoves Ambrose away. Dean however keeps the offense going, hitting a diving elbow off the second rope. Kane gets up and hits a shoulder thrust in the corner on Dean. Dean gets some space, and then hits a dropkick. Dean throws Kane to the outside, and then hits a  suicide dive! Ambrose then begins to look under the ring for weapons! Dean however turns around into a big boot, and is then thrown into the steel steps.

Dean is thrown back into the ring, and is taken down with a big uppercut. Kane then begins to work on the shoulder. Ambrose however fights back and then begins his comeback sequence! Dean gets caught with a choke hold, but Dean reverses it into Dirty Deeds! Ambrose goes for the cover but Rollins comes out of no where to break the pinfall.

Winner (By DQ): Dean Ambrose

Dean gets taken down by Rollins, and then Rollins goes out to grab a chair. Dean fights back immediately, but Kane stops him and then hits a chokeslam. Rollins walks away but then goes back to the ring. Dean ends grabbing the chair and waits for Rollins to get back in the ring, but Rollins decides not too. Dean stands tall as we go to commercial.

We return with Triple H confronting Rollins and Kane. Triple H says he has to stop starting all these fires, and Rollins doesn’t understand why Triple H is saying that. Dean then comes from behind and attacks Rollins! Security comes and Stephanie says to put Dean in the room beside them. They lock Dean in the room with security watching the door.

We get an update on Reigns. We are told he will be out for several months.

The Usos and Sheamus vs Cesaro, Gold and Stardust

Jey and Goldust start the match. Jey gets control at first, and then tags in Jimmy. Jimmy hits a back drop, which leads to Stardust getting tagged in. Stardust gets taken down with a clothesline, and then goes to the outside to take a breather. Cesaro gets tagged in, and then asks for Sheamus. Sheamus gets tagged in and both men begin to beat e hell out of each other. Cesaro is able to gain the advantage and tag in Goldust. Sheamus fights back with a big clothesline, and then tags in Jey. Stardust is able to make a tag, and then begins a beat down on Jey in the corner. Jey fights out and then gets a tag to Jimmy. Jimmy tries to keep Stardust away from his corner, but Goldust is able to make a tag. The double team begins, and in comes Stardust again. We go to commercial.

We return with Stardust in control. Sheamus however is able to get a tag in the match and then begins his comeback! Cesaro is able to the make the blind tag, and then takes out Sheamus to the outside. Cesaro puts Sheamus back in the ring, and then makes a cover for a 2 count. Sheamus tries to fight back, but Cesaro then hits a flurry of uppercuts. Goldust is tagged in, and then beats down Sheamus in the corner. Goldust puts Sheamus in a headlock. Stardust ends up tagging in, and then tries to isolate Sheamus from the corner. Sheamus however gets back in it with a big forearm. Sheamus makes a tag to Jey, while Goldust is tagged in as well. Jey begins his comeback, and tags in Jimmy in the process. Jimmy takes out Goldust but Cesaro breaks up the pin. The Usos then take out Cesaro. Goldust comes back and hits the Final Cut, but Sheamus breaks up the pin. Jey then makes a tag and hits the splash on Goldust for the 3 count.

Winners: The Usos and Sheamus

We go backstage with Orton and Rollins. Rollins says he knows Orton is mad, but he wants to know that he appreciates what he is doing for him. He says he has a surprise for Orton, and that him and Kane will be at ringside for his match. Orton says he likes surprises.

We are shown a trailer for WWE2K15. We go to commercial.

We return with Mark Henry making his way to ring. Henry grabs the mic and says he is sorry for letting everyone down. Out comes Lana and Rusev. She says he does not have to apologize, as everyone in the USA are pathetic and apologetic. Lana says that Rusev wants another match tonight, and Mark Henry accepts.

Mark Henry vs Rusev

Rusev starts the match off in control. Rusev hits a couple of shoulder tackles, and then begins to beat down Henry in the corner. Rusev hits a running splash, and then throws Henry to the ground. Rusev then puts Henry in a headlock. Henry tries to get but Rusev keeps the hold locked in. Henry tries to fight out, but Rusev lets go and hits a dropkick instead. Rusev then puts the headlock back in on Henry. Henry finally gets out and then begins his comeback. Henry hits a headbutt, and then goes to the second rope. Rusev however grabs Henry’s leg and then slams him straight to the ground. Rusev then locks in the Accolade. Henry doesn’t tap out but he does pass out.

Winner: Rusev

Heath Slater and Titus O’Neil vs Adam Rose and The Bunny

Titus and Rose start the match off. Titus hits a clothesline, and then follows it with a backbreaker. Slater is then tagged in and puts Rose in a headlock. Rose begins to fight out, but Slater keeps him grounded. Rose fights out again, but Titus is tagged in and stops Rose again. Rose however attacks Titus and makes the to the Bunny. Slater is tagged in and the Bunny cleans house. Rose is tagged back in and hits the Party Foul for the 3 count.

Winners: Adam Rose and The Bunny

Nikki Bella will address the WWE Universe up next. We go to commercial.

We return and out comes Nikki Bella. Nikki says that everyone looks for an excuse for losing, but she has a legitimate one. She says her sister’s harsh words cost her the match last night. She then calls out Brie. Brie comes out and says all Nikki does is blame others for her shortcomings. Brie says she is sick of constantly being insulted. Nikki says Brie won’t do anything, and that she wants the Bella name to herself. She asks Brie why she isn’t taking Bryan’s last name, and then talks trash about Bryan. Brie then attacks Nikki and goes for the Yes Lock. Nikki escapes and out comes AJ.

AJ and Nikki have a match after the commercial break.

AJ Lee vs Nikki Bella

AJ starts off hitting a hurricanrana, and then follows it with multiple neckbreakers. AJ then runs at Nikki but takes a clothesline instead. Nikki then goes to the outside, and throws AJ into Paige, who is at commentary. Nikki then puts AJ in a headlock. AJ gets out but Nikki hits a big boot, and then makes the cover. AJ kicks out, but Nikki hits an Alabama Slam. AJ kicks out again, and Nikki continues her assault. AJ however makes a comeback and locks in the Black Widow. Nikki tries to grab the ropes but she taps out.

Winner: AJ Lee

We go backstage with Triple H making sure everything is still under control with Dean Ambrose. John Cena vs Randy Orton is up next.

Randy Orton vs John Cena

The match starts off with Cena getting taken down with a shoulder block. Cena however gets up and then does the very same to Orton. Orton then begins to unload a flurry of shots to Cena, and then begins to stomp away in the corner. Orton begins to flaunt to the crowd, and Cena takes advantage. Orton however takes control again right before we head to commercial.

We return with Orton in control over Cena. Cena is taken down and Orton makes a cover for a 2 count. Cena gets up and tries to make his comeback, but Orton ducks the shoulder block. Orton then drives Cena shoulder first into the steel steps. Orton then hits a backdrop on the announce table. Cena is put back in the ring and is set up for the hanging DDT. Cena however sends Orton over the top rope instead. Both men get on their feet in the ring, and then they begin to trade blows. Orton however gains the advantage with a backbreaker. Orton makes the cover but Cena kicks out at 2. Cena tries to get back in it again, but Orton locks in a sleeper. Cena finally gets out and begins his comeback. Cena however gets caught again with a powerslam. Orton then goes for the hanging DDT, but Cena gets out. Orton keeps control however with a running clothesline.

Orton goes to the top rope, and tries for a superplex. Cena however blocks it, and then pushes Orton off the top rope. Orton gets right back back and then grabs the ropes, making Cena lose his balance. Orton then hits the DDT from the top rope. Orton makes the cover but Cena kicks out at 2. Orton then calls for the RKO, but Cena reverses and locks in the STF. Rollins and Kane then interfere and take out Cena.

Winner (By DQ): John Cena

Cena ends up eating a chokeslam, and then Kane reveals the cinder blocks, but instead underneath the box is Dean Ambrose! Dean Ambrose begins to take out everybody! Cena takes out Kane and Ambrose takes out Orton. Rollins retreats while Ambrose and Cena stand tall in the middle of the ring! Dean’s music plays as Raw concludes.
