WWE Raw WrestleMania Revenge Results (4/18/13) – Belfast, Northern Ireland
Thanks to PWMania.com reader Jonathon Beggs for sending this in:
WWE Belfast House Show 18/4/13 Results. – I attended my 7th house show in Belfast, Northern Ireland and I have to say, it was a pretty good show. Nothing spectacular but good none the less. CM Punk was absent of course but I still had a great time. Anyway, I sat a few rows above the ground floor. I was originally supposed to sit near the entrance but the seller never sent my ticket. Thankfully I won tickets thanks to Fighting Spirit magazine and WWE Home Video UK which I am very thankful for.
First match – Tons of Funk and The Funkadactyls vs Team Rhodes Scholars and The Bella Twins.
Pretty good opening match, was more for the kids really but still enjoyable. Tons of Funk pretty much dominated the entire match which was sad to see as in my opinion, Cody Rhodes and Damien Sandow are far superior wrestlers but what can you do. At the end of the match Tons of Funk hit the double splash to pick up the victory then proceeded to interact with the fans.
Zack Ryder vs Heath Slater.
Not too much to shout about with this match, at the start, Heath Slater argued with a fan which was pretty funny. I find it great that WWE superstars interact with fans during matches as it’s far better than just sitting there lifeless. Ryder hit the Broski boot (Which by the way, very visibly didn’t connect at all) then proceeded to hit the Rough Ryder to pick up the win.
William Regal vs Michael McGillicutty.
William Regal was undoubtedly very popular with the older audience and had got a lot of cheers throughout the match. Michael McGillicutty seemed to be a comedy character in this matchup, tripping on the ropes, doing 360 spins in the air while kicked by Regal and running from rope to rope for about 30 seconds. McGillicutty is a great superstar and hope to see him in the main event picture in the near future. Regal got the win in the end and then made a speech about coming to Belfast for 27 years and thanked Fit Finlay who was in attendance which was followed by a round of applause from the audience.
Team Hell No vs WHC Dolph Ziggler and Big E Langston W/ AJ Lee.
Probably the best match of the night, Big E was far bigger in person, Ziggler was awesome, Team Hell No were great. Before the match started, Bryan said, “Can you guys for once just humour me and say No?” You can guess the fan reaction. Great match all the way through, a great moment was when Kane was going for the pin, Big E went for the splash but Kane moved out of the way in time and jumped on Ziggler and the crowd loved it. Kane pretty much took on Big E throughout the match and Bryan with Ziggler and in the end Daniel Bryan hit the diving headbutt for the victory. Hell No did pretty much the exact same segment they did in November with Bryan pretending to cry about Kane not giving him his title and people calling him goat face but the crowd still loved it.
R-Truth vs Antonio Cesaro.
After the interval was this match which wasn’t great to be honest because it made Cesaro look weak. Truth started rapping and interacting with everyone and Cesaro shouted at the same fan that argued with Heath Slater which was great. R truth hit his finisher in the end to get the win.
Kaitlyn vs Tamina.
Before the match, Vickie Guerrero came out to not as much heat as I would have thought and introduced her protege Tamina and told everyone to clap for her, which no one did. Well, no one except me. What can I say, I love the bad guys. Kaitlyn got a lot of offense in the match, as did Tamina, Kaitlyn hit a massive spear which was awesome and got the victory. When the match was finished, Kaitlyn went to spear Vickie but was pulled away in time by Tamina.
Main Event: John Cena vs Ryback for the WWE Championship in a tables match.
Great match, a lot of boos for Ryback and surprisingly a lot of cheers for Cena. Cena hit the AA pretty early on in the match and not surprisingly a lot of kids rand down the isles expecting John Cena to go for the pin. In a tables match. Really? Anyway, Ryback took the steel steps and tried to throw them at Cena but missed and smashed the table which was great. And that was not the first table that Ryback broke in the match. Ryback hit a massive clothesline but in the end Cena picked Ryback up for the AA through a table and got the win to a massive pop.
Great night and I will definitely be returning for the November show. All together I give this one a 7/10. Thanks for reading and see you next time.
