WWE Royal Rumble 2014 Countdown: What If Batista Won?

We’re counting down to the Royal Rumble: a variation of the traditional Battle Royal match, with a total of 30 competitors. Two WWE Superstars start in the ring, every 90 seconds thereafter another Superstar enters. A Superstar is eliminated when they’re thrown over the top rope and both feet touch the floor. The last remaining Superstar is guaranteed a championship opportunity at WrestleMania versus the current WWE World Heavyweight Champion.

WWE Superstar: Batista
Height: 6′ 6”
Weight: 290 lbs.
From: Washington D. C.
Championships Reigns: WWE Champion (x2), World Heavyweight Champion (x4), WWE Tag Team Champion, World Tag Tam Champion (x3)

Recently returned Superstar Dave Batista fared well in previous Royal Rumbles during his original WWE run. He convincingly won the match in 2005. Now back in WWE after a hiatus from the squared circle, “The Animal” made it clear he came back to win the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. A physically opposing, mammoth of a man, expect Batista to literally throw his weight around.

Greeted with a blazing hot reception when he returned to RAW, imagine the reaction he’d get announced as the #1 contender. Imagine the excitement Batista would generate walking into WrestleMania XXX the clear favorite to walk out with the two-title trophy draped over each his massive shoulders. Imagine the crumpled heap he’d surely leave his opponent in to claim the most prestigious title in the business.
