We’re counting down to the Royal Rumble: a variation of the traditional Battle Royal match, with a total of 30 competitors. Two WWE Superstars start in the ring, every 90 seconds thereafter another Superstar enters. A Superstar is eliminated when they’re thrown over the top rope and both feet touch the floor. The last remaining Superstar is guaranteed a championship opportunity at WrestleMania versus the current WWE World Heavyweight Champion.
WWE Superstar: Seth Rollins
Height: 6′ 1”
Weight: 217 lbs.
From: Davenport, Iowa
Championships Reigns: WWE Tag Team Champion, NXT Champion
Don’t spend too much time gushing over the success Seth Rollins has experienced as one-third of The Shield. Add in his Ring of Honor championship reign, also being crowned the inaugural NXT champion, and one should quickly understand Rollins’ arrival to WWE has always been about his future solo potential. Breaking away from Shield mates Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose is inevitable.
Should the blonde-and-black-haired high-flier win the Royal Rumble match, he stands as great a chance as any Superstar today of defeating the reigning WWE World Heavyweight Champion, whomever he may be, at WrestleMania XXX. Rollins is no stranger to winning gold on a big stage, so he’d likely go all out on the biggest stage of them all.
