WWE SmackDown Results – July 5, 2013

CM Punk starts off cutting a promo before Del Rio interrupts. Del Rio insults the American people. Punk tells Del Rio that despite him being champion, he’s still not best in the world. Teddy Long interrupts and makes our main event of Punk vs Del Rio.

Match #1
The Usos vs Rhodes & Sandow

Sandow and Rhodes work over The Usos. Big tag to Jimmy. Superkick to Rhodes on the apron and a superkick in the ring to Sandow. Diving splashes in unison for the win!

Winners: The Usos

Match #2
Kaitlyn vs Alicia Fox

Alicia starts off in control. Northern lights suplex from Alicia. Chinlock to Kaitlyn. Kaitlyn begins to fight back and overpowers Alicia until AJ comes out. She skips around the ring and Kaitlyn gets distracted. Alicia rolls her up for the win.

Winner: Alicia Fox

Kaitlyn chases AJ backstage. After the break, AJ gets stopped by the Bella Twins who talk some trash before AJ yells at Big E and makes them leave.

Match #3
Randy Orton vs Christian

This is a very typical face vs face match with each guy getting their shots in and not much of a full advantage from either guy. Big dropkick from Orton. Clothesline from Orton and an attempted powerslam but Christian reverses it. Christian with a spear! Only for two! Christian sets up for the Killswitch but Orton reverses and hits the elevated snap DDT. Orton goes for the RKO but Christian counters. Christian jumps off the ropes over Orton and gets caught with the RKO while turning around.

Winner: Randy Orton

Dolph Ziggler comes down to the ring and cuts a little promo on Del Rio.

Match #4
Dolph Ziggler vs Drew McIntyre

McIntyre starts off in control of Ziggler and goes to town in the corner with punches. Snap suplex from Drew Mac. Ziggler manages to fight back and hit the Zig Zag for the win!

Winner: Dolph Ziggler

After the match Dolph gets chased out by 3MB as he celebrates.

Match #5
Fandango vs Justin Gabriel

Fandango dances around after a few acts of athleticism from each guy. Fandango wins this one easily with a flying leg drop after a few moves.

Winner: FAAAAHHHHNNN-DAAAAAANNNN-GOOOOOO

Main Event
CM Punk vs Alberto Del Rio

Punk starts off doing well with a few shots to the ribs and a snapmare. Del Rio starts working over the arm of Punk. Strong kicks to the arm of Punk. Del Rio goes for the armbreaker but Punk elbows him in the face and hits a forearm. Punk gets caught by a backbreaker. Del Rio punches Heyman on the outside and Punks dives off the announce table onto Del Rio. Match ends in a double countout

No Contest

Punk brings Del Rio into the ring and hits the GTS in a fit of rage.
