WWE SmackDown Results – March 17, 2016

On Monday night, Roman Reigns returned to Raw and he attacked Triple H to get a little bit of revenge leading into their WWE Title Match at Wrestlemania.

We are in Cincinnati, Ohio and your announcers are Mauro Ranallo, Jerry Lawler, and Byron Saxton.

Roman Reigns makes his way to the ring, but he has eschewed the aisle for the standard entrance again.

Roman says that you have seen the footage. That is what happens when you run your mouth. Triple H believes in money, power, and respect. Roman says he is different. He believes in the Big Fight and the Big Fight knocked him into next week. Triple H won’t be here tonight, but he will be watching.

You are still the champ. You are still the man. Roman says he is in your arena. He is standing in your ring. He will be eating your catering on your dime because he can. He will continue to do that until you are in the same area code and then he will beat Hunter’s ass again because he can.

On April 3rd, in front of the entire world, you will see him destroy Triple H and become the WWE Champion. He will hold the title over Triple H because he can. If you are smart, you will believe that.

We see Chris Jericho’s attack of AJ Styles after Chris got pinned in the tag title match against The New Day. Then we see Chris’ explanation for why he did what he did on Smackdown. On Monday, AJ got some revenge on Jericho after Jericho’s match against Neville.

We go to Renee Young in the back and she is with AJ Styles.

Renee asks AJ about his last few weeks. AJ says Chris is upset because the fans chant his name. That is ridiculous. They can chant whatever they want. That is how it works around here? Chris made it personal. On Monday, it felt good to drop him . . .

Kevin Owens appears in the interview area and he tells Renee that he thought she was interviewing AJ Styles, but he sounds like another new guy . . . Sami Zayn. You are just like him. My friend attacked me and made it personal. You should get your own show on the WWE Network where you hold each other and cry. You need to learn that friendships do not matter . . . .titles do (as Kevin points to his Intercontinental Title Belt).

AJ says if we are talking about comparisons, AJ says that Kevin reminds him of Chris Jericho. Smug, arrogant, jackasses.

Kevin says he is surprised AJ didn’t go with the fact that they are both Canadians, and then he asks AJ what is his point.

AJ says that they have a match tonight so you can put your money where your big mouth is . . . and I get to shut it.
Kevin tells AJ and Renee that they have the same haircut and he walks away.
