WWE SmackDown Results – May 16, 2014

The show kicks off with John Cena. Cena makes a few jokes about the Wyatt Family. Cena says that Bray’s words are empty. Cena accepts a last man standing match against Bray. Cena mentions the previous last man standing matches he’s had. Bray shows up on the titantron and tears up Cena for joking and ends the segment singing.

Match #1
The Usos vs The Brotherhood

Usos tag back and forth, working over Cody Rhodes. Double team clothesline and an elbow drop. Goldust makes the tag and Cody cheap shots Jimmy. Rhodes tosses Jimmy into the corner. Goldust and Cody isolate Jey Uso. Hot tag to Jimmy. Whisper in the wind to Cody. Goldust goes to dive on Jey but Jimmy superkicks him. Disaster Kick to Jimmy for two. Jimmy with a superkick and splash for the win.

Winners: The Usos

Cody walked out on Goldust after.

Match #2
El Torito vs Heath Slater

Slater toys with Torito and sends in Hornswoggle. Hornswoggle misses and hits Slater. Torito hits a moonsault for the win.

Winner: El Torito

Match #3
Natalya vs Nikki Bella – Special Ref: Eva Marie

Natalya starts off chain wrestling. Natalya spanks Nikki. Spinning clothesline from Natalya. The two divas trade elbows. Natalya with a surfboard to Nikki but Nikki turns it into a roll up for the win. Eva awkwardly made the count.

Winner: Nikki Bella

Dolph Ziggler cuts a backstage promo on Batista, calling him the weak link.

Match #4
Dolph Ziggler vs Batista

Batista with a beatdown on Ziggler to start. Suplex from Batista. Batista goes for the Batista Bomb but Dolph fights out and hits a DDT. Batista goes shoulder first into the ring post. Batista with a low blow.

Winner via DQ: Dolph Ziggler

Batista beats down Ziggler after the bell.

Match #5
Sheamus vs Titus O’Neil

Titus talked some trash before the match but immediately eats a Brogue Kick for the win.

Winner: Sheamus

Match #6
Santino vs Damien Sandow

Santino wins in seconds after hitting the Cobra.

Winner: Santino

Damien Sandow grabs a mic and says “Aren’t I a good solider?!” mocking the Authority, it seems. They cut Sandow’s mic.

Match #7
R-Truth vs Cesaro

Truth gets a little offense in with a dropkick and corner splash. Uppercut from Cesaro, followed by the Neutralizer for the win in another short match.

Main Event
John Cena (w/The Usos) vs Erick Rowan (Bray & Harper)

Rowan and Cena trade strikes in the opening moments. Cena gets thrown out of the ring near Bray. Cena starts mounting a comeback but Rowan hits a big boot. Backbreaker from Rowan. Cena runs right into a shoulder block from Rowan. Bear hug from Rowan. Cena with the back suplex and five knuckle shuffle. Fall away slam by Rowan. Kick to the ribs of Cena. Cena trips Rowan and goes for an STF but Harper interferes, only for The Usos to take him out. Claw slam from Rowan for two. Cena hits the AA for the win.

Winner: John Cena

Cena stares down Bray to end the show.
