WWE SmackDown Results – May 2, 2014

The show opens up with a video package, chronicling Triple H and Evolution’s feud with The Shield.

After a brief glimpse of the crowd inside the arena in Kansas City, a graphic was shown advertising the Fatal Four-Way United States Title match set to take place, Dean Ambrose defends against Ryback, Curtis Axel, and Alberto Del Rio. Also, The Shield is banned from ringside.

Match #1
Wyatt Family vs The Usos & Sheamus

The Wyatt Family begins the match in full control, beating down Jimmy Uso and then, after a tag, Sheamus. Wyatts make quick tags and beat down on the back and midsection of Sheamus. Superkick from Harper. Jey Uso gets the hot tag and starts clearing the ring. Enziguri from Uso before running back first into Harper in the corner. Jey goes for a corkscrew moonsault but misses. Harper with a michinoku driver for two. Full scale brawl as Jey hits a superkick to Harper after a blind tag from Bray. Sister Abigail for the win.

Winners: Wyatt Family

The brawl continues after the match with Harper hitting a spinning clothesline on Jey.

An Adam Rose vignette aired. He debuts on Monday night.

A contract signing for the Wee-L-C match at Extreme Rules between El Torito and Hornswoggle. Lots of banter between 3 1/2 MB and Torito. They both get on the table and Torito gores him off of it. Matadores clean the ring and Torito springboards onto all of the 3 MB. JBL is loving this segment.

Jack Swagger vs RVD

RVD and Swagger go at it while Cesaro watches at ringside. Swagger with a boot to RVD on the outside. Swagger decks Cesaro, followed by RVD getting a quick win with a five star frog splash.

Winner: RVD

Cesaro hits the Neutralizer on RVD after the bell.

A Bo Dallas vignette aired.

Match #3
Rusev vs R-Truth

Rusev dominates most of the short match but after attacking Xavier Woodds, the two fight off Rusev.

Winner via DQ: Rusev

John Cena granted his latest Make-A-Wish on Monday night, and that was shown.

They showed the most watched shows last week on the WWE Network.

Cole confirmed that the WWE Network is now available on Xbox One.

Daniel Bryan makes his way to the ring and cuts a promo on Kane. Kane appears on the titantron, merely laughing at Bryan.

Damien Sandow (dressed as Magneto) vs Dolph Ziggler

Sandow takes control with a headlock and hits his russian leg sweep followed the elbow of disdain. Ziggler hits a dropkick, knocking the cape into Sandow’s face. Zig Zag for the win.

Winner: Dolph Ziggler

Match #5
Big E vs Titus O’Neil

Big E clotheslines Titus out of the ring. Titus tosses Big E over the announce table. Titus throws him on and off the table. Backbreaker from Titus. Titus refuses to stop stomping Big E and the ref calls it.

Winner via DQ: Big E

Big E gets his revenge and destroys Titus after the match. Big E tosses Titus into the steps, announce table and barricade.

Members of the Kansas City Chiefs were shown at ringside. When pro athletes are shown, their go-to move always seems to be the crotch chop.

A video package of the Bray Wyatt vs. Cena feud was shown.

Backstage, Bray set a record player up to play his now-trademark song, but then he stopped it. Wyatt said Cena’s face on Monday was “priceless.” He said the kids pulled out Cena’s heart and handed it to him. He said Extreme Rules has become so much more than just a Steel Cage Match.

Dean Ambrose made his entrance, through the crowd, for the main event. The other Shield members were with him, but Ambrose walked down the stairs alone. He defends his title next.

Another Adam Rose vignette was shown.

Main Event – United States Championship
Dean Ambrose vs Alberto Del Rio vs Ryback vs Curtis Axel

The three bad guys spend the opening minutes destroying Ambrose and mildly arueging with each other. Spinebuster from Ryback to Ambrose. Ambrose goes out and Axel/Ryback work over Del Rio in the corner. Big knee from Axel to Del Rio. Front dropkick from Ambrose to Del Rio. Axel clotheslines Ambrose from behind. Catapult clothesline from Ambrose for two. Axel hits the Perfect Plex on Del Rio for two. Ryback accidentally clotheslines Axel and Del Rio gets him in the armbar. Samoan drop from Ryback but Axel drags him out of the ring. Ambrose out of nowhere with a diving roll up for the win!

Winner & still US Champion: Dean Ambrose

The Shield clean house and hit the triple powerbomb to Ryback to end the show.
