WWE Smackown Results – October 19 2012

We start off the show with MizTV. Miz claims that Kofi had a lucky win on Wednesday. Miz also has a huge gash above his eye. Miz announces his rematch clause for Hell In A Cell against Kofi. Guests tonight are Team Hell No! Miz says that Kane and Bryan are egomaniacs and mentions that he bred Bryan into a wrestler. He says Bryan is the problem in their tag team. Kane grabs the mic and says no one cares what Miz says. Kane says he’s won tag titles with deranged psychopaths, a seven foot giant and the Deadman. Bryan says he’s the reason Team Hell No! will win. Bryan proclaims himself the world’s toughest vegan. Kane compares it to being the world’s tallest dwarf. Kane and Bryan both cut Miz off with a NO! Bryan and Kane both proclaim themselves the tag team champions before Big Show cuts them off.

Show says he has a problem with Bryan. Bryan stares mesmerized at Big Show’s hand. Show says he wants to KO Bryan when Kane steps in and defends him. Dolph Ziggler’s music hits and he comes down with the MITB case and Vickie. Ziggler says Bryan cashing in is so last year and that the current MITB holder is what matters now. Ziggler claims that at Hell In A Cell he’s going to cash in after Sheamus and Show destroy each other. Chaos ensues as Show and Ziggler yell at each other, along with Bryan and Kane. Booker T comes out to break things up and Miz mocks him.

Booker announces two main events for the evening. Our first is Team Hell No! against Dolph & Big Show and we also have Miz against Randy Orton, next!

Match #1
Randy Orton vs Miz

Match starts off with Orton beating down on Miz a bit. Del Rio is watching from the sky box with Ricardo Rodriguez. Orton with longer hair makes him look about 5 years younger. Orton and Miz trade strikes in the corner. Orton with a back body drop to Miz but eats a knee to the stomach. Miz hits Orton out of the ring and into the barricade. Miz is bleeding from his cut as we cut to the break.

We come back and Miz has Orton in a chin lock and Miz follows up with a backbreaker/neckbreaker combo. Miz with elbows to the neck of Orton as we move up to the skybox. Striker asks Del Rio a few questions as Miz puts Orton back in the chinlock. Orton gets out of the hold but eats a clothesline in the corner from Miz. Miz goes to the top rope but Orton trips him. Orton climbs to the top rope and sets up for a superplex and nails it! Orton starts making a big comeback now as he hits a couple clotheslines and a powerslam. Orton sets up for the DDT but Miz rolls out. Miz gets back in and goes for a clothesline but Orton hits a dropkick. Miz with a kick to the knee and DDT for a near fall. Orton comes back and hits Miz with the snap DDT and sets up for the RKO as he looks up at Del Rio. RKO but Miz reverses into a Skull Crushing Finale, which gets reversed back into an RKO. Orton wins!

Winner: Randy Orton

Sheamus runs into Teddy Long backstage. Sheamus says that he and Barrett have had some great matches but Big Show always interupts and he asks for one more match against Wade. Teddy says he thinks he can make it happen and that a lumberjack match can guarantee a winner. Eve overhears the conversation.

Match #2
Rhodes Scholars vs Justin Gabriel & Tyson Kidd

Gabriel with some quick kicks to Rhodes and a tag to Kidd. Nice tag team moves as Gabriel comes back in. Gabriel goes to dive on Rhodes but Sandow pulls him out. Suicide dive from Gabriel to Sandow but Rhodes takes control in the process. Cody tags in Sandow who hits the russian leg sweep followed by the elbow of disdain. Sandow locks in a butterfly chinlock as he tags in Rhodes. Cody with a chinlock. Gabriel dodges an elbow and tags in Kidd. Kidd with some kicks to Sandow and a dropkick to the side of the head. Kidd kicks off of Sandow onto the outside and sunset flips into a sharpshooter but Sandow managed to tag Rhodes. Rhodes hits the Disaster Kick while Kidd is in the sharpshooter for the win!

Winners: Rhodes Scholars

Backstage Eve steals Teddy’s idea for the lumberjack match for Sheamus against Barrett. Booker takes Eve’s side on the situation.

Match #3
Bryan & Kane vs Ziggler & Big Show

Bryan Ziggler go back and forth with Ziggler tagging in Show after a nasty dropkick. Kane gets in and Show and Kane trade strikes as they move around the ring. Standing spear from Big Show takes both of them down. Headbutt in the corner from Show. Big Show runs into the corner at Kane but Kane dropkicks his knee into the corner and makes the tag to Bryan. Big NO! kicks from Bryan to Show who is on his knees. Kick to the head is blocked by Big Show, who lifts Bryan above his head and tosses him out of the ring onto the floor. Commercial break.

We’re back as Ziggler works over Bryan and tags in Big Show. Big Show with the loud chops to the chest of Bryan but no! Bryan dodges only to get thrown down by Show and tossed into another corner. Show goes for a splash and misses. Bryan tries to get to Kane but Show lifts him for a chokeslam but DDT from Bryan in mid air! Bryan tries to crawl over to Kane but Ziggler tags in and hits a neckbreaker to Bryan. Big Show comes in and claws into the back of Bryan. Ziggler gets back in and Bryan manages to fight off both men and makes the hot tag to Kane. Flying clothesline from Kane and a clothesline in the corner. Another corner clothesline and then a big boot after a missed fame-asser from Ziggler. Kane hits a sidewalk slam out of the corner. Kane sets up for the chokeslam but Bryan with a blind tag. Bryan with a running clothesline to Ziggler and a dropkick in the corner. Bryan climbs to the top and dives at Big Show but is caught by the neck. Kane kicks Big Show off the apron and Bryan locks in the No! Lock on Ziggler, who taps out!

Winners: Daniel Bryan & Kane, Team Hell No!

As Kane and Bryan are arguining on the stage, Sandow and Rhodes jump Kane and Bryan from behind.

Antonio Cesaro making his way to the ring as we come back to Smackdown. Cesaro experiences Sun Studio, a place known for performances from Elvis and Johnny Cash. Cesaro is trying to understand America but can’t seem to understand why they are celebrated. Cesaro says Sun Studios is no longer part of his America.

Match #4
Antonio Cesaro vs Ted DiBiase

Ted’s first time on TV in a while, since his injury last year. DiBiase starts off early with some new moves added to his arsenal but gets thrown out of the ring violently. Cesaro chucks DiBiase across the ring with a gutwrench suplex. Ted with the running clothesline followed by a running knee and a spinebuster. DiBiase goes off the ropes but Cesaro hits Swiss Death and follows it up with the Neutralizer for the win.

Winner: Antonio Cesaro

Raw Rebound

3MB time with McIntyre, Mahal and Slater. Somebody call my momma because Brodus is on his way!

Match #5
Heath Slater vs Brodus Clay

Slater and Clay go at it in the corner before Brodus starts dominating with headbutts to the back and a suplex. Elbow drop from Clay. Slater jumps off the rope and hits a flying dropkick. Slater with a headlock on Brodus. Brodus throws Slater off and hits a clothesline, and another! Brodus suplexes Slater across the ring and starts stomping. Headbutt from Clay. McInty’re gets up on the apron and dodges a clothesline, as does Mahal. Slater with the front facebuster for the victory after the distraction.

Winner: Heath Slater

3MB celebrate their way to the back.

Match #6
Natalya vs Layla

Natalya and Layla go back and forth as they roll out of the ring. Layla dropkicks Natalya back out of the ring as she gets in. Eve, on commentary distracts Layla as Natalya takes control. Kick to the chest from Natalya. Octopus Stretch from Natalya. Arm drag from Layla. Roll up from Layla for a near fall but Natalya counters with a huge clothesline. Headkick from Layla for a win out of nowhere.

Winner: Layla

The lumberjacks come down to the ring as we come to a commercial break.

Main Event
Sheamus vs Wade Barrett

Big shots from Wade in the corner but Sheamus fights right back with some. Headbutt from Barrett. Cesaro trips up Sheamus, causing Barrett to land some kicks to the ribs of Sheamus. Pumphandle drop from Barrett for a near fall. Barrett keeps control against the Sheamus only to eat an elbow in the corner and tags some clubs to the back. Barrett/Sheamus matches have led to some of the most intense striking in WWE at the moment. Cover from Barrett as we go to commercial.

We come back to Sheamus hitting some polish hammers on Barrett and a flipping senton. White Noise from Sheamus! Sheamus sets up to get ready for the Brogue Kick as Big Show looks on. 3MB pull Barrett out of harms way and Sheamus dives on them. Sheamus gets back in the ring and Barrett manages to take control and hits a nasty superkick for a near fall. Sheamus tries a Brogue Kick and misses, Barrett tosses him out of the ring. Lumberjacks circle and Barrett attacks one. Big brawl ensues as all the lumberjacks go at it. Barrett crawls back into the ring. Sheamus gets in as well. Irish Cruse backbreaker from Sheamus but he goes down too. Pyro goes off as Bryan and Kane storm down to the ring and clean house outside the ring. Rhodes tries to get away but Sheamus tosses Barrett into him and then hits the Brogue Kick for the win.

Winner: Sheamus

The show ends with Sheamus celebrating as Bryan and Kane chase Sandow and Rhodes through the crowd.

But WAIT. Ziggler hits the Zig Zag on Sheamus. Ziggler picks up the MITB case and goes to cash in but KNOCK OUT PUNCH from Big Show, who walks off to the stage. Show says that at HIAC, Big Show is going to knock out Sheamus and take the title.
