Spoilers: WWE SmackDown Taping Results For 1/10

WWE taped the January 10, 2014 WWE SmackDown episode from the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia. Here are full WWE SmackDown spoilers. Special thanks to our very good friend Brady Hicks for sending PWMania.com the following live report:

Dark Match
* Alexander Rusev vs. Zack Ryder
Rusev has an impressive physique and, unfortunately, Zack Ryder will always be Zack Ryder in WWE’s eyes. Rusev wins with a camel clutch.

WWE SmackDown

* The Usos vs. The Wyatts
The show kicked off with a lot of energy as Luke Harper and Erick Rowan took on The Usos. I think the crowd seemed legitimately disappointed that Daniel Bryan was not out with them. Following a double count-out, however, Bryan and Bray Wyatt appear to help beat down The Usos.

* Promo – Orton and Vickie Guerrero
Orton demanded to talk to Hunter and Steph, but they were not there. He said he has something to say to them come Monday.

* The Big Show on Miz TV
Show came out and challenges Brock Lesnar following Raw. Heyman set up the match for the Royal Rumble after teasing a Brock vs. Show match then and there.

* Sin Cara, Rey Mysterio, and Los Matadores vs. The Real Americans, Curtis Axel, and Ryback
This had the feel of a Survivor Series match. An underwhelming one, but still a Survivor Series match-like feel. The masked guys won when Mysterio got the pin on Swagger.

* WWE World Champion Randy Orton vs. IC Champion Big E Langston
It was an old-school WWE World vs. IC Champion match. Langston dominated most of it and the crowd most certainly approved. Orton pinned Langston after a tumb to the eye and an RKO.

* Promo – Wyatts
After Bray Wyatt did his usual, fantastic stuff, Daniel Bryan went off with an incredible heel promo. The crowd loved it.

* Xavier Woods vs. Fandango
Woods pins Fandango after some distraction from the Funkadactyls at ringside. Afterward, Cameron and Naomi beat down Summer Rae.

* Promo – Punk and Outlaws with Renee Young
Very reminiscent of the old-school DX stuff from ’97/’98. You could tell all were having fun.

* CM Punk and The New Age Outlaws vs. The Shield
The Roman Reigns train continues to roll as Reigns pinned Billy Gunn to end this match.

Dark Match
* WWE World Champion Randy Orton vs. John Cena
This match came as a surprise as most had already left their seats assuming that the show was over. After trying to get out of the match Orton came in and wrestled Cena fairly for about 10 minutes. The crowd seemed legitimately divided as to who they wanted to win. Cena picked up the DQ after a low-blow by Orton.

Top Five Pops
5. Shield (entrance)
4. Cesaro (crowd did “We the people” with him)
3. Punk (backstage promo)
2. Daniel Bryan (during run-in and backstage promo)
1. Outlaws

Top Five Heat
5. Ryback (although he did generate another Goldberg chant)
4. Heyman (when he said Brock wasn’t there)
3. Rowan and Harper (when Bryan didn’t come out)
2. Cena (match only)
1. Orton (esp dark match)

Other Notes
*The crowd really showed up, despite it being about five degrees outside. Mostly sold out, although some of upper deck was tarped off.
*When did Sin Cara get so much taller than Rey Mysterio?
*I will be shocked if Roman Reigns doesn’t beat Dean Ambrose for the US title within a month or so. He is so clearly their guy now.
*Former developmental diva Melissa Coates was in attendance telling everyone around her how involved she used to be back in Ohio Valley.
