Josh Matthews welcomes us to the Kickoff and we see the WWE Universe filing into the Staples Center.

Josh is joined with Booker T, Shawn Michaels, and Vickie Guerrero. They discuss the matches they
are looking forward to the most.

A video of the Battle Royal from Monday Night is shown, with The Shield trying to attack RVD and Mark Henry, leading to The Big Show’s return.

The panel discusses the United States Championship Match between Dean Ambrose and Rob Van Dam.

Renee Young is in the “Social Media Lounge” and asks the WWE Universe to tweet and Tout their Summerslam predictions.

A hype video for CM Punk vs Brock Lesnar is shown.

Paul Heyman is in the Locker Room area and gives an interview and details why Brock Lesnar vs CM Punk is NOT like David vs Goliath. Paul Heyman announces that CM Punk vs Brock Lesnar will now be a No Disqualification Match.

The panel discuss CM Punk vs Brock Lesnar.

Earlier today, Tony Dawson was outside of the arena and interview a pair of Irish Brother that flew all the way to L.A. to see Summerslam.

The panel discuss the Brie Bella vs Natalya matchup.

A hype video for Dolph Ziggler and Kaitlyn vs AJ and Big E. Langston is shown.

Renee Young shows us a few Summerslam predictions that the WWE Universe sent in.

A hype video for the WWE Championship Match between John Cena and Daniel Bryan is shown.

Shawn Michael discusses his former student Daniel Bryan. The panel all seem to want Daniel Bryan to take the WWE Championship away from John Cena.

A commercial for Doritos is shown.

Michael Cole, JBL, and Jerry Lawler run down the Summerslam card.

Dean Ambrose makes his way through the crowd with the United States Championship around his waist.

RVD comes out to an impressive pop.

Dean Ambrose (c) vs Rob Van Dam

Dean Ambrose is stalling as the match begins. Ambrose and RVD are jocking for position before Ambrose takes down RVD with a shoulder tackle. RVD and Ambrose trade shots in the corner before RVD takes down Ambrose with a leg sweep before putting in an arm lock on him. Ambrose puts RVD in the corner and hits him with various elbows and punches. Ambrose hits RVD with a neckbreaker and then locks in a neck lock. RVD is against the ropes and Ambrose drops him with a dropkick. RVD is back in control now, hitting Ambrose with a couple of kicks. RVD goes for a split legged moonsault by Ambrose gets his knees up. RVD is going for the 5 Star but the other members of the Shield make their way down. Mark Henry and The Big Show come out to counter.

The Kickoff goes to a commercial for WWE 2K14.

RVD vs Ambrose continues after The Shield, Big Show, and Mark Henry show up. Ambrose goes for a sleeper hold and RVD is about to go down. The fans bring life into RVD and he rushes at Ambrose, only to get sent to the outside. RVD suplexes Dean on the outside. RVD places Dean on the barricade and hits his RVD Spinning Legdrop on the back on Dean body. RVD hits spinning move off the top rope and gets a 2 count. Dean Ambrose hits a spinebuster for 2. Dean goes to the top rope and goes for an elbow drop, only to miss. RVD goes for the 5 Star but Seth distracts him. RVD gets rolls up by Dean but gets a 2. RVD hits a springboard high kick and hits Rolling Thunder. RVD hits the 5 Star but Roman spears him before he can get the pin.

WINNER: Rob Van Dam via DQ

We go back up to the panel and they discuss the result of the United States Championship Match.

Renee Young appears and shows us some Touts from the WWE Universe and they discuss their favorite Summerslam moments.

The WWE Ring Crew is setting up the Ring of Fire Match, so that match will kick of the Summerslam PPV.

A hype video of Kane vs Bray Wyatt is shown.

A poll on WWE.com reveals that John Cena will be the star of Summerslam.

The Kickoff comes to an end with the flames of the Ring of Fire match being lit.
