All Elite Wrestling has had an up-and-down year in 2023, with the promotion experiencing declines in both television ratings and attendance figures.

The promotion lost two notable names to WWE, with CM Punk and Jade Cargill now in the WWE, although AEW released Punk after a backstage brawl with Jack Perry at All In.

However, AEW is not as bad off as some would have you believe, as the promotion still draws good ratings for Dynamite, and when Collision is not competing with WWE’s premium live events, the show still draws sold ratings.

AEW has also been able to sign new stars to full-time contracts, including Adam Copeland and Will Ospreay. They held their largest event, in collaboration with All In, at Wembley Stadium in August.

There is widespread speculation that the mysterious man wearing the Devil Mask on AEW Dynamite is a former WWE champion.
Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select reported that a talent meeting planned for the December 3rd AEW Collision event was canceled. It’s unclear why the meeting was canceled or whether the promotion intends to reschedule it.

AEW hosts tonight’s Dynamite from College Park Center in Arlington, Texas, with the special Winter is Coming theme. You can see the card here.
