AEW star Britt Baker recently spoke with Mostly Sports on a number of topics including how fellow AEW star MJF felt during his rivalry with WWE star “The American Nightmare” Cody Rhodes back in 2020 that Rhodes was trying to steal his spotlight and his thunder by showing up with a neck tattoo.
Baker said, โSo, there was a lot of controversy around [Cody Rhodes getting a neck tattoo] internally at the time.โ โBecause MJF, at the time, I donโt know if I can say this, Iโm just going to say it because f**k MJF: he felt that Cody was trying to steal his thunder at the time because they were in a feud at the pay-per-view.โ
โCody vs. MJF, MJF big coming out moment, and it was like his โhurrahโ [moment], and Cody shows up, bam, with a neck tattoo.โ
Brandon Walker then said, โStealing the spotlight a little?,โ to which Baker responded, โYup, thatโs what MJF says.โ โIโm sure he doesnโt care now because MJF is successful on his own, but at the time [he did].โ
