Reigning CMLL World Women’s Champion and AEW TBS Champion Persephone was in action at the CMLL Martes Populares event on Tuesday, September 1. She teamed up with Candela to face India Sioux and Tessa Blanchard in a 2-Out-Of-3 Falls Match.
During the event, Persephone debuted a brand-new CMLL World Women’s Championship belt. The new title prominently features the word “CMLL” at the center and boasts a modern design. Persephone has held this championship for 180 days, having won it from Mercedes Moné on March 6.
Additionally, Persephone became a double champion at All In: London on Sunday, capturing the AEW TBS Championship from Maya World with assistance from the returning Britt Baker.
