Dave Meltzer reported in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that AEW star Jay White will be out of action for “one to two months.” However, he has not disclosed the specific nature of White’s injury or when it exactly occurred. Meltzer also mentioned that it appears White’s “body is turning on him.”
This news follows AEW commentator Tony Schiavone’s announcement of White’s injury during an episode of Collision. As of now, the promotion has not provided a diagnosis, treatment plan, or specific return date for White.
This setback comes after White recently returned from a significant absence. He was sidelined from March 2025 until June 2026 due to a hand injury that required shoulder surgery. Additionally, he missed time in 2024 because of a foot injury. Depending on his recovery, this latest setback could keep him out for up to two months. White also missed the October 3 episode of Collision, during which his team, the Bang Bang Gang, competed without him.
White participated in the 8-Man Tailgate Brawl Match during the Saturday All Out Tailgate Brawl pre-show. He teamed up with his Bang Bang Gang stablemates, Austin Gunn, Colten Gunn, and Ace Austin, to battle against The Dogs and The Death Riders. White’s team emerged victorious after he pinned Wheeler Yuta.
