AEW Dark Results – August 16, 2022

Ari Daivari vs. Fuego Del Sol

Ari Daivari & Fuego Del Sol lock up. They exchange submissions before Fuego gains the upper hand and delivers a Northern Lights Suplex. Daivari delivers a shot to Fuego’s throat before tossing him into the corner.

The two exchange chops before Daivari delivers a boot to his midsection. Fuego fires back with a dropkick then goes off the ropes but Slim J grabs his boot. Daivari hits a back elbow, then goes for a pin but Fuego kicks out.

Daivari chokes Fuego on the ropes before locking in a chin lock. Fuego manages to escape before hitting a jawbreaker and a hanging neckbreaker. Fuego hits a flying elbow, followed by an insiguri and a knee to his head. He hits a stomp to Daivari’s back, then goes for a pin but Daivari kicks out. Daivari delivers a chokeslam before hitting a chop. Both men ascend to the top as Fuego delivers a double stomp to his chest. Fuego climbs to the opposite corner and delivers a Coast 2 Coast. He goes for a pin but Daivari kicks out.

Parker Boudreaux pulls Daivari out of the ring, but Fuego delivers a moonsault to him to take him out. Daivari sends Fuego into the ring post, then tosses him back in the ring. He hits the frog splash for the win.

Winner: Ari Daivari

After the match Daivari tells fans to be quiet. He says he told everyone in the wrestling world that his money and investments allow him to purchase the best guys to have his back. He says if anyone steps to them, their ass will be Trust Busted.

Robyn Renegade vs. Willow Nightingale

Willow Nightingale delivers a hip attack followed by a big boot and senton. She hits a crossbody and goes for a pin but Nightingale kicks out. Nightingale hits an elbow on Robyn Renegade but Renegade fires back with a chop. She looks for another one, but Nightingale fires back several of her own. Renegade delivers a backstabber, but Nightingale comes back with a couple of clotheslines and a spinebuster.

Renegade Twins switch places after Robyn rolls to the outside while the referee isn’t looking. Charlotte hits a Fisherman’s Suplex, but Nightingale comes back with the spinebuster then a Doctor Bomb for the win.

Winner: Willow Nightingale

Brock Anderson vs. Serpentico

They exchange submissions before Anderson hits a couple of forearms and a right hand. He sends Serpentico into the middle rope before delivering a stomp to his face. The two men spill to the outside as Serpentico gives Arn the middle finger. Anderson knocks him from behind and tosses him back in the ring.

He assaults Serpentico with stomps before Serpentico comes back with right hands. He sends Anderson to the corner before delivering a chop. He fires down some right hands on Anderson before Anderson fires back with some boots to his midsection.

Serpentico hits a flatliner, then goes for a pin but Anderson kicks out. Serpentico delivers a back elbow before hitting another stomp. Serpentico heads to the top, then looks for the double stomp but Anderson moves out of the way. He hits a DDT, followed by a lariat, a back elbow and a side slam. Anderson hits Serpentico with a Spinebuster for the win.

Winner: Brock Anderson

Abadon vs. Mafiosa

Abadon screams in Mafiosa’s face. Mafiosa slides out of the ring before Abadon follows her. They deliver several knees to Mafiosa’s midsection before hitting several forearms. Mafisoa pulls out a backstabber , followed by a kick to her midsection and another one to her jaw. They deliver a senton to Mafiosa’s back. Mafiosa delivers a few right hands to Abadon’s midsection before Abadon hits the Black Dahila for the win.

Winner: Abadon

Angelico vs. Baliyan Akki

Angelico & Baliyan Akki exchange submissions before Akki hits a drop kick, followed by several kicks to his thigh. He hits a thrust kick before Angelico locks in a Spider Submission for the win.

Emi Sakura vs. Renee Michelle

Emi Sakura delivers several kicks to Renee Michelle’s midsection. She drags her to the center and delivers a kick to the back of Michelle’s thigh. She sits on Michelle before delivering a chop. Michelle delivers a kick to her head, followed by a back heel kick. She hits a missile dropkick off the top, then goes for a pin but Sakura kicks out. Sakura firs back with her signature chops and a crossbody. She delivers a double underhook backbreaker before hitting a splash off the middle. She goes for a pin but Michelle kicks out. Sakura hits Queen’s Gambit for the win.

Winner: Emi Sakura

Josh Woods vs. Cobra

Josh Woods & Cobra lock up. They exchange submissions before Cobra throws Woods around the ring. He delivers a few knees, followed by a clothesline. Woods trips Cobra and delivers a kick to his chest. Woods hits a suplex, followed by an overhook hip throw and an arm submission for the win.

Rohit Raju vs. Invictus Khash

Invictus Khash delivers a shoulder tackle, followed by an arm drag. Rohit Raju delivers several elbows, before locking in an arm submission. Khash escapes and knocks Raju to the mat. He goes for a pin, but Raju kicks out. Raju delivers a boot to Khash before Khash hits several right hands on Raju’s face. Khash hits a kick on Raju before sending him to the mat. He goes for a pin, but Raju kicks out. Raju delivers a spinning right hand before hitting a knee. He climbs to the top and hits a diving double stomp for the win.

Winner: Rohit Raju

After the match Tony Schiavone gets in the ring and asks Raju what he sees for himself in the future. Raju asks him what he thinks his future holds and Schiavone says it’s bright. Raju says his mother calls him son because he shines like one. He says the audience hasn’t paid attention to him shining since day one and it doesn’t matter which show he’s one because he will find success.

Charlette Renegade vs. Skye Blue

They lock up. Skye Blue pushes Charlette Renegade and she returns the favor. Blue goes for a pin, but Renegade kicks out. Blue delivers a sweep to Renegade, followed by a kick to her face. She goes for a pin before Renegade kicks out.

Renegade sends Blue to the mat before hitting a spear. Renegade hits a Fisherman’s Suplex before going for a pin. Blue kicks out. Blue delivers several forearms, followed by a hurricanrana.

She hits a thrust kick, then goes for a pin but Renegade kicks out. Renegade hits an uppercut before Blue hits a crossbody. Blue hits a boot to Renegade’s midsection before delivering a twisting neckbreaker. Renegade rolls to the outside as Robyn switches places with her. The referee catches them and kicks Robyn out from ringside. Blue hits the thrust kick, followed by a half & half for the win.

Winner: Skye Blue

Tag Team Match
Bear Country vs. Axel Rico & Victor Iniestra

Bear Bronson & Axel Rico begin the action. Rico kicks Bronson. He tags in Victor Iniestra before Bronson hits him with a lariat.

Bear Boulder tags in and he delivers a splash in the corner. He delivers a splash before tagging Bronson back in. He delivers a spinebuster to Iniestra, then looks for a pin but Rico breaks it up.

Rico tags back in and delivers a dropkick to Bronson. He delivers a senton before going for a pin. Boulder breaks it up and throws Rico off Bronson. Bronson delivers a clubbing lariat to Rico, then tags Boulder back in before he throws Iniestra on to Rico.

Boulder delivers a cannonball to Rico with Bronson on his shoulders, then Bronson pins them both for the win.

Winners: Bear Country

Kayla Rossi vs. Avery Breaux

Kayla Rossi pushes Avery Breaux across the ring. Breaux hits a couple of elbows on Rossi before Rossi sends her straight onto the mat. Rossi delivers a few stomps before choking Breaux on the ropes. Breaux hits a forearm before Rossi picks up Breaux, does some bicep curls, sends her to the mat and delivers a standing moonsault. She goes for a pin, but Breaux kicks out. Breaux hits an insiguri before Diamond Sheik causes a distraction, allowing Rossi to hit a lariat and the Brainbuster for the win.

Winner: Kaya Rossi

Cezar Bononi vs. Marcus Kross

Marcus Kross sends Cezar Bononi into the corner. He delivers a kick before going off the ropes. Bononi tosses Kross across the ring and he rolls to the outside.

Bononi gets him back in and pushes his boot into Kross’ chest. He tosses Kross again across the ring before delivering several stomps to Kross. He delivers a right hand to Kross’ head before Kross comes back with a back elbow. He looks for another one, but Bononi sends him straight to the mat for the win.

Winner: Cezar Bononi 

Powerhouse Hobbs vs. Blake Christian

Powerhouse Hobbs pushes Blake Christian into the corner. Christian tries to roll up Hobbs, but Hobbs tosses him into the corner and delivers an uppercut. Christian delivers a missile dropkick off the top, but Hobbs hits a vicious clothesline on him.

Hobbs delivers a backbreaker, followed by another before throwing him to the mat. Hobbs delivers an overhand chop to Christian before delivering a hammer throw into the corner.

He sends Christian to the outside and sends him back first into the ring post twice. Hobbs tosses him back in the ring before delivering a kick to his face. Christian hits several knees before hitting a 450 splash across Hobbs’ back but Hobbs kicks out at one. Christian hits an enziguri before Hobbs hits a spinebuster for the win.
