AEW Files to Trademark New Tag Team Name

AEW has secured the trademark rights to Bear Country’s new name, and the team will now be known as The Iron Savages.

Their new name, as well as their pairing with JT Davidson as their manager, were revealed at last Sunday’s Dark tapings.

The company applied for the term on August 22 with The United States Patent and Trademark Office under the entertainment services classification. The following is the description:

“Mark For: THE IRON SAVAGES trademark registration is intended to cover the categories of entertainment in the nature of wrestling contests; Entertainment services, namely, live appearances by a group or individual wrestlers; Entertainment services, namely, televised appearances by a group or individual wrestlers; Entertainment services, namely, wrestling exhibits and performances by a professional wrestler and entertainer.”

Bear Boulder and Bear Bronson have been working together since 2017. They started working for AEW in 2020.

Their first AEW match took place on the December 3 episode of AEW Dark, where they were defeated by The Dark Order (Evil Uno & Stu Grayson). They later made their AEW TV debut on Dynamite on March 11, 2021, by losing a 10-man tag team match.

The Acclaimed (Anthony Bowens & Max Caster) & The Gunn Club (Austin Gunn & Colten Gunn) defeated Fuego Del Sol & Ruffin It on the July 6th episode of Dynamite (Boulder, Bronson & Leon Ruffin).
