Darius Martin had been out with an injury after being involved in a car accident, but he has returned to the ring.
It happened during Wednesday’s episode of AEW Dynamite, when Martin, his brother Dante Martin, and AR Fox faced Death Triangle in an action-packed trios match. Death Triangle won the Trios Titles and will now defend them against The Elite at the Full Gear event on Saturday.
According to Fightful Select, many AEW members believed Darius would not return until next year. According to the report, “Darius Martin’s return came much sooner than many expected in AEW. Many thought he’d be out until early 2023.”
Martin’s accident was first revealed by Malakai Black in April. He’d recently returned from a torn ACL that had kept him out for over a year.
Top Flight signed with All Elite Wrestling in November 2020 after breaking into the industry in 2016. Darius’ most recent match before his return was on April 15, when Frankie Kazarian, The Hardys, and Top Flight defeated Angelico, Max Caster, Private Party, and The Blade on an episode of AEW Dark.
